So how do you guys feel about it anyways? Personally I love it, the single player keeps me busy trying to do just about anything, and the multiplayer is awesome in private free roam. Of course public free roam and multiplayer matches have been ruined by noobs, but that will never change.

Am I the only one who thoroughly enjoys hunting down other players in Free Roam? Sure, I understand grinding just a sole person can be annoying for the victim, but I typically go after larger posses all on my own.

As for RDR, it's amazing.

Well, ever sense Rockstar put the patch through that makes gang hideouts give virtually no XP leveling is as hard as balls, but I love the game otherwise.

Not enough character skins/missions in free roam though.

Yeah it was good. I felt it was a bit short.. but maybe I just nuked through it. I'm sure the GTAs (didn't play 4) were longer. I spose there wasn't enough story to lengthen it more either. I went and got 100% in it which lengthened my playing time a fair bit. I also got all the achievements apart from 5.

Slow on the Draw (10)
In a public free roam session, acquire 10 assists in a single hideout.

The Quick and Everyone Else (20) -While playing public matches, you have to be the top scoring player during 3 back to back FFA games.

Posse Up! (10) -Make a posse and get the maximum amount of people within the posse.

How the West Was Won (20) -This is one of the harder achievements but it is attainable. You have to get to the top rank for multiplayer experience.

Go Team! (20) -Play team based games in public matches and be on a winning team for at least 4 consecutive victory matches.

I don't think I can get any of those anytime soon. I'm not particularly liking the multiplayer matches such as gang shootout.

I love red dead redemption. The single player is brilliant and if I ever get bored of it the multi player is pretty good too.

I love it.
The Free roam is a blast! I've got all but 4 free-roam challenges complete!
Workin' on those...

But, for those interested, there is an Escapist group where we plan get togethers in free roam and otherwise help and talk about the game! The more the merrier!

I loved the story and single player parts of the game, but the multiplayer portion just left me wanting. I'm not really sure why though, it just didn't feel like enough for me.

I like it. I'm not far into the single player, or decent at the multiplayer - But I'm enjoying it.

My one gripe is when me and a buddy play free roam. We don't become public enemys, we just do the gang hideouts, hunt bears or just explore by ourselves. But some, always alone, player rides to us and attempts to shoot the fun out of us.

It's annoying.
Can't you just make a two player game? That's what I heard, anyway.

I did in the past and even still now like it but I feel kinda underwhelmed by how easy it is after I learned the controls. I wish the features that Yahtzee mentioned in one of the more recent Extra Punctuations would have been included. I mean its a fun game no doubt about it but I wish the game would be abit more realistic in conveying the harshness and lawlesness of the old/dying west

The singleplayer was awesome, but the multiplayer is kinda crap. There's just hardly anyone in Free Roam, which makes me annoyed, so I go sniping the few other players that are there. Also, I just can't invite a friend of mine in my game and he can't add me. What's up with that? I don't enjoy 'exploring' much, because there isn't anything I haven't seen in the singleplayer.

I think it's made like that so that it has the same themes as the singleplayer, main ones being "pretty much everyone are assholes" and "assholes never leave you alone".

On topic, I really liked the singleplayer story, I don't really like the challenges though. Multiplayer seems interesting enough, haven't had time to look into it too much.

If you're playing it on PS3, that's your problem right there. Apparently you can't play with your friends or invite them on PS3 for the time being. Hopefully they'll get around to fixing it soon.
I don't think that's true, I played it near release and I could invite my friends to a Free Roam. In multiplayer, you press select, then the square button, and move over to the friend you want to invite.

USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION

MY GOD!!! How could you expect that you'd be the first person to post about it? The game is EXTREMELY popular and has been out for a while now.

I just searched it and oh my god... the amount of threads about it.

Please, I beg you and anyone who sees my post here, use the search function... It is how these forums remain of high quality!

EDIT: I see you are new. I hope I was not too harsh, but this is a pet peeve of mine. I am still hoping others will see this post and think twice before making a duplicate thread.

I'm honestly far less positive than most people about RDR... it was disappointing to me...

The singleplayer is the one thing I just CAN'T enjoy, no matter how much I try. I appreciate that Rockstar is trying to go a new, more realistic direction with Sandbox gaming instead of just making the typical wacky, silly sandbox, but it just won't CLICK with me for some reason...

I suppose a lot of it is the fact that it rehashes the same "America is corrupt" theme that GTA4 had, and the fact that Rockstar is trying to milk that cash cow as hard as they can. Not to mention the writing is pretty questionable at times... (And not just "ambigious", either, which is the unfair and easy way out of explaining faulty plot points)

Multiplayer is pretty fun, though, and it's probably the only reason I haven't sold it yet.

But despite my criticism, it's not a bad game. I just don't really like it.

The surprising part is that I LOVE Western games, and I enjoyed Gun, Call of Juarez and it's sequel, and a few other western games, so not liking this is a bit odd for me.
