Eryn drove as fast as the car would let her. Tires screeching from moving from lane to lane trying to avoid an accident. She answered Thomas.

"I'm going as fast as I can without crashing. We'll be there soon, everyone just please hold on."

Just a little more. Just a little more and we'll all be able to leave

As much as I wanted to get away from this place...I couldn't help but think about David, he was still my friend, no amount of virus could change that. He may not have felt the same way, but I think we all still cared, me more-so than everyone else. He's tried to kill me, he's tried to kill all of us...but I still don't hold it against him. It's not his doing, the infection has taken hold...David would never have done this of his own acord. I looked distant, I tried to see if he was behind us, but no...we had lost him. Knowing what everyone would have thought if I had said it aloud, I whispered to myself.

"Dammit David, come home safe..."

I peered over at thomas 'The airport... But does anyone here know how to fly a plane?'

After I had finished thinking about our comrade, I turned to Dylan, who seemed to be talking to me, I caught the words 'fly' and 'plane'.

"Shit...erm..." I looked at the rest of the group, they all shook their heads. The one miscalculation I had made could have been the death of us all...

Eryn didn't slow down or look back.

"How are we going to leave then? I don't think that this limo can get us much further."

Eryn quickly glanced at the fuel gauge.

Its almost empty...

I looked at Eryn...and nodded to her. She knew what I had asked her to do.

Keep driving until it's empty, we can run the rest of the way.

While I awaited for the engine to chug it's last few chugs...I thought about David, where was he...how was he?

I sat in the back of the limo, thinking about how we were going to get out of the accursed city. When Dylan asked if anyone here knew how to fly, I thought about raising my hand. My dad and I had a little puddle jumper that we used to rent when we went fishing in Mexico....did I trust myself enough to drive a plane, we'd find out.

I aimed my gun out he window at all times, zombies heads popping with a rythem. I waited for the airport, waited and cried inside...

'Ok, looks like we're fucked. There is probably a vehicle we can Hijack at the airport though, then we can bottle the Petrol from a few other cars as spare or something...?'

They were almost there. Just a couple more miles. Eryn looked at the gas gauge.

Please...please don't stop...

She looked into the rear view mirrors and saw the others. They were almost all out of the hellish town. They would soon all be free.

What about me? What the hell am I gonna do? I'm infected....even if I did fight off the voices....I'm still infected...

Eryn shook her head. The car began to slow then came to a complete stop. She hit the steering wheel in desperation.

"Dammit!"

She looked forward. The airport was only a couple blocks away. She turned to the rest of the group.

"Come on everyone! Just a little more and we'll all be home."

I got out and followed Eryn...I stood near to her.

"You're not alone in this...I can tell what you're thinking, you're human still, you're not like David...you're like us."

We ran and ran, when would we reach that airport?!

'Alright, we'll be fine, dont panic - lets just run.' I opened the door and started walking ahead.

I was lying on the floor, the monster had spat me out. I don't know why it didn't eat me, it must have thought I was dead.

David, get up. I opened my eyes, only to see that I was slowly getting completely surrounded by zombies. I stood up. I couldn't go through them, I would surely get bitten. What would happen if I got bitte-?
DAVID Oh yeah, the zombies. I grabbed the closest one and threw him back into the horde. He moaned angrily, knowing his chance for food had gone. I trampled over the path I had just made for myself, then kept walking. Where would you go if you were still with them.
The airport.

The story will not end as soon as you're in the airport. That is merely the start of the last chapter. Hopefully it will last 10+ pages. Oh and all the aircraft will have been sabotaged. The saboteurs' name begins with U.

We kept running, and eventually I saw it...The Air Control Tower.

"C'mon guys! I see it!" I pointed and smiled, this was our way out, we'd finally be able to leave.

I looked at my team with excitement.

"We're nearly there!" I pumped my legs harder, even though I was beginning to tire.

Everyone was running. Panting from the pain combined with being too tired and still having to run. They were almost there. They were all almost home. Even though most of them no longer had homes. The fact that they were almost gone gave everyone the last bit of strength they needed.

"Come on everyone! We're almost there! Only two more blocks!"

With that the group ran. Passing zombies along the way but out running them and not looking back.

They finally arrived at the airport. They all entered through the doors. Almost everyone was gasping for air. Eryn looked at Thomas.

"Where to now?"

I breathed heavily...we were all so tired.
"I'm not sure...this airport is huge..."

There was no clear view of the runway, we didn't even know if there would be anyway out, we were riding our last hopes.

Rico put his hands on his knees, that was quite the hoof. "Here, Thomas. This way leads to employees only." I pointed to a door behind the check in counter. "I think that's our best bet. Let's get going. I can't spend another minute in this town."
