A man that made a living out of doing idiotic things died from doing an idiotic thing? Stop the presses. Yeah, he's died at a young age. That's a shame. But from all the posts about him you'd think he was y'know... Important.

Since it seems you don't take the time to read before you post and are quick to judge much like the very people you are condemning, I'll go ahead an repost this.

oh what the fuck ever...I skimmed over the goddamned article cause I was in shock!!!!.....that still doesn't change the fact that Im sickened, irritated, pissed off by all the people who are going 'rot in hell Dunn' or 'no sympathy from me'
Why are you so upset that people aren't showing sympathy for a man who was reckless enough to drive at such excessive speeds and be responsible for both his own life and that of the passenger?

I'm actually curious.

A human being just died, he might of done some stupid things but he was still a good man. Regardless of how he died, no one can deny that he has lived more than any of us will twice over. I will miss him, you should miss him. RIP Dunn, may your Limo ride with veto race on with endless hoagies.

Isn't he the Jackass that stuck a toy car up his ass?

If so, that's a tad bit ironic..

OT: I haven't got much sympathy for drunk drivers, but...
R.I.P Ryan, you made me laugh.

you see for me even though it can't and shouldn't be ignored that Dunn (and his friend/passenger who also died most likely) was drunk and for that reason he was speeding and ended up killing them both. Its more about the fact that two lives were tragically cut short due to the poor judgement brought on by alcohols influence.

And here we have another case of, it's the alcohols fault. It is not the alcohols fault!
A responsible person wouldn't have drunk that much or even thought about driving, even though he was drunk.

The responsibility lies in the person himself. Alcohol was just a small part of it.

That's assuming that he was speeding and/or drunk.

"Speeding may have been a factor" is not proof of speeding, it's speculation. Aliens may have shot his car with a pulse beam and set it on fire for all we know. Maybe it was a vehicle malfunction or something ran out into the road and they swerved to avoid it. We don't know.

As for the picture; There's a picture of him having one drink hours before the accident. We don't know that he was drunk. We don't know that he had more than one drink, let alone enough to impair him. One drink isn't enough to get everyone drunk. Some of us can handle more than that. And some of us can shrug off a few drinks, especially after a few hours.

Let's all just cut the cynicism and passing off speculation as fact, and either pay our respects, or stay out of the thread.

RIP Ryan Dunn.

Because he is upset that someone has died and is trying to be respectful of that unlike you he was reckless but right after someone dies is not the time to cast judgment

Damn, first Clarence Clemons, and now Ryan Dunn all of 2 days later.

While it is always sad to see someone pass, when the guy was drunk behind the wheel, it's kind of hard to feel sorry for him.

He and the other "Jackasses" entertained me during their shows. It's not like he deserved it.

I said 'influence' I didn't say alcohol was solely to blame.

I suppose I feel similar to the way I felt when I found out that bin Ladin had been killed. I'm not a fan of celebrating anyone's death, but a Jackass? He was being a jackass, drunk driving, which I'm sure was not incidental in his death.

Too bad it wasn't Steve-O, though.
Wow that is possibly the coldest thing I've ever read on here..I'm shocked someone's death makes you as happy as finding out bin laden died, bin laden deserved to die Ryan dunn really didn't and in a car wreck not a way to go also can't belive you wish Steve o was dead to.....your a horrible person....so cold
Well, you're definitely a Jackass fan! Please read the bolded text again. The emotion I was describing was ambivalence, not happiness. The Steve-O joke was definitely in poor taste, so I'm sure he'd appreciate it. What I meant to say is that I'm surprised he's still alive.

No, Ryan didn't deserve to die, and the other person who died in the accident who may well not have been drinking didn't deserve to die either. Honestly though, if someone from Jersey Shore died I don't think there'd be memorial threads on the Escapist, and to me the only difference is the type of bodily fluids the "stars" like to bathe in. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe this person made a difference in the lives of others when he wasn't helping his friend destroy his parents' house and covering himself in human excrement. I'm not being cheeky; if there's information you think I should be aware of, please include it.

Otherwise, where's the memorial for the other person who died? The person who in all likelihood did more productive things in his life than staple his balls to his leg? Where is HIS love?
*claps* you speak truth, and you know it isn't as saddening seeing how he was drinking before said accident. But a point you made is truth, what about the other guy? Hell what about those who didn't have the fame Dunn has, those who end up dying alone with no loved ones. Dunn went out drunk while driving and people weep his death, but I doubt no one bats an eye to those who die alone with no family to remember them

Well, at least he didn't kill anyone else in his reckless stupidity of drunk driving. Usually the drunk person lives while innocent people are the ones who get punished for it.
Somebody in the car with him died, I believe... I read that somewhere.

Sad to hear about his death, even though I haven't watched Jackass and I don't know who he is.

I was shock when I saw this on Hot Threads. We're losing alot of celebs in car accidents.
It's going to feel weird watching Jackass 3.5 now that he's gone.
