I'm not a huge Jackass fan, but I loved the films and this sucks. RIP.

Please show me your source saying irrefutably that Ryan was driving. All that was said was that he was drinking before the crash happened, not that he was driving the vehicle.

Live Fast, Die Young. It's what he would have wanted. Respect bro. May you be remembered and may your acts of jackassery inspire others to follow in your stead. (manly salute)

I very nearly cried when I found out. My best mate and I are massive fans of Dunn and I really don't know what to do in a world without Ryan 'Motherfucking' Dunn in it. Ryan Dunn was the funniest, coolest and most bad-ass member of the Jackass crew by a very, very long way and he'll be missed so damn much

i still remember the first time i saw him... in a hardware store, wiping his ass with a pair of gloves, and putting them back on the shelf... ah the sweet memories.

RIP Random Hero

I suppose I feel similar to the way I felt when I found out that bin Ladin had been killed. I'm not a fan of celebrating anyone's death, but a Jackass? He was being a jackass, drunk driving, which I'm sure was not incidental in his death.

Too bad it wasn't Steve-O, though.
Wow that is possibly the coldest thing I've ever read on here..I'm shocked someone's death makes you as happy as finding out bin laden died, bin laden deserved to die Ryan dunn really didn't and in a car wreck not a way to go also can't belive you wish Steve o was dead to.....your a horrible person....so cold
Well, you're definitely a Jackass fan! Please read the bolded text again. The emotion I was describing was ambivalence, not happiness. The Steve-O joke was definitely in poor taste, so I'm sure he'd appreciate it. What I meant to say is that I'm surprised he's still alive.

No, Ryan didn't deserve to die, and the other person who died in the accident who may well not have been drinking didn't deserve to die either. Honestly though, if someone from Jersey Shore died I don't think there'd be memorial threads on the Escapist, and to me the only difference is the type of bodily fluids the "stars" like to bathe in. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe this person made a difference in the lives of others when he wasn't helping his friend destroy his parents' house and covering himself in human excrement. I'm not being cheeky; if there's information you think I should be aware of, please include it.

Otherwise, where's the memorial for the other person who died? The person who in all likelihood did more productive things in his life than staple his balls to his leg? Where is HIS love?

Report I read said he posted pictures of him drinking just hours before the accident, and another guy was also found dead at the scene of a 100+ mph crash. Sounds like he killed himself and another guy while driving drunk and speeding. IMO, that means he's exempt from any pity, and instead of RIP he's earned a BIH (burn in hell).

(obviously my apologies if those initial reports turn out to be wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were accurate)

Look, everybody knows it's not smart to drink and drive, but to all the people passing judgement, can you honestly say that you haven't got behind the wheel of a car when you really shouldn't have. I know some of you might have not (or might not even drink at all), but I think it's in poor taste to call him an idiot and "jackass" just hours after his death. Yeah it was a dumb move, but the guy paid with his life for that mistake. Isn't that enough punishment? Just let him Rest In Peace. So long Ryan...you were always my favorite Jackass

If he was drinking and driving then there is no sympathy here. I am sad that he is dead though. I feel sorry for the family and friends he has left behind as well.

Anyone else getting a Steve Irwin vibe off this? (IE: Guy survives a ton of ludicrously dangerous stuff and gets killed off camera by something 'mundane' - for them, at least)

Anyway, I didn't know the guy, and didn't really like his show. The whole drunk driving thing doesn't help drum up the sympathy either, but all the same:

Rest in Peace, brother - you made many people smile.

It is a sad day that we mourn the death of someone who was repeatedly tazered in the testicles and not tens of people dying for a cause

I heard it was a hoax for something to do with Jackass...now, this may just be idiots spreading rumors and I'm in the wrong, so if I am, I am sorry, sad and disheartened that he has passed on...

However, I'm pretty sure they did this with Wee-Man, and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if this was a gag...I'll try and find an "official" source (ya'know, not Fox or any dodgy internet sites) but until then, keep an eye out...
