RPG what sex do you prefer?

I tend to create 50 alt characters in most RPGs, where the male to female ratio is somewhere around (70%/60%)-(30%/40%).

The point of an RPG is to roleplay as a character YOU created, right? I usually just play as myself (Decent, kind young man) for the first playthrough.

On a different note, if you'e gonna be staring at you characters back for the next several hours (or infinite if MMORPG), then they might just as well be something that's good to look at (Female, in my case).

... oh wait... females in games get better wardrobe while males usually just get the same clothes dyed to different colors. So I tend to go where the wardrobe is the best.

I usually play male as I try to recreate myself in the game to try to play through as myself. I also usually play through a few times playing female to see if there are any differences in story or character voice acting.

depends. Usually depends on wither the charactermodel for the female is cute. You're going to run around with it for ages anyway, might as well have something cute to look at.

Of course, this makes for difficult decissions sometimes. In Fabel 2, the girl character is really cute (both young and old, im not using "cute" as "sexy"). But upgrading in strength? ...there's only one Hammer.

Usually female. If I am playing a video game in the first place, I want to do something unusual (kill giant chickens, etc). Playing as another gender, race, class, or ideology can be a fun and interesting way passing the time.

I'm a guy but I preffer playing as a girl...why? well, if I have to look at someones ass for so many hours, it can at least be of my liking(plus I find more badass when a girl kills someone with an axe in fallout 3)

I tend to play females, everything else being equal. The voices are nicer, the sprites are smaller, the backsides are more pleasing to the eye. Plus, I think male players STILL tend to underestimate female sprites in multiplayer combat, even though they know there's probably a male at the controls. Human brains are funny like that.

I used to always play male, but lately i have had the tendency to play female simply to prove that woman are not pallets of meat and flesh whose only use is to conform to the male stereo type and be sexy trophies. I try to play as if i was a normal woman that doesn't wear revealing clothing or scantily clad armor with huge jubblies hanging out. I'm sick of this stereotype in games, even though i am male, I strongly support feminism. I try to wear the normal clothing in a game keep the dialogue as close to real life with out being some crazy fem fatal. I'm most likely going to play Fable 3 as a female and i wish there was an option to chose between male and female versions in other games like the final fantasy, or other rpgs.(not counting mmorpgs)

*edit and truthfully i try to avoid romance if i can in a game and stick to the task at hand. Your suppost to be saving the country/kingdom/world/universe! You have no time for trivial things such as love. That can wait till after the journey is over.

I always make my character female, partly to please that immature perverted nagging in the back of my head and partly because the male characters are always to damn buff. REAL MEN DON'T LOOK LIKE THAT (/rage)!
