Please God, not another game set in fucking New York. I wouldn't mind a Fallout game set somewhere in the deep south. It would make a change to see how the more rural areas of the US survived the bombing.

I would absolutely kill to see a Fallout UK.

I really do hope they eventually set one up outside of America, it would be interesting to see cultural differences in the Fallout world and how the bombs affected other countries.

Given some of the backstory or the former FO3 that kinda got wrapped into New Vegas...Denver is not the BEST place to live.

It'd definitely be fun to visit in the context of FO, but it won't be picturesque or anything.

I don't understand this line of thought. Fallout 3 was soo much better than New Vegas. I didn't even finish NV. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't anything special compared to FO3.

I'm hoping it'll be Bethesda's project.

3. Iron sights
I can understand every other example of why its better, but why is Iron sights always brought up?

Am I the only person alive that absolutely abhors Iron sights?

I like them a lot because of my playstyle, which is very difficult without iron sights. But if you don't like them, New Vegas lets you switch them off, so it's a non-issue.

Although I doubt it'll ever be outside the USA, I would love to play Fallout: Glasgow. Running around the town square with half the population trying to knife you? That happened BEFORe the nukes landed.
Lol I'm also from Glasgow, but what would be worse, Fallout Paisley there wouldn't be need of a nuclear war there are alrady "super" mutants wandering about at night

I would love to see a Fallout game set in Hong Kong, it would fill in a lot of information about the war, and let another perspective be viewed.

Vault 0 [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vault_0], since it was featured in a "non canon" game, I'd love to see it shoved into the story, so my vote goes to Colorado Springs, and the Cheyenne Mountain Complex.
That'd be terrific. A new landscape and region, without straying so far that the Fallout essence is lost. I think I support this idea.

I REALLY hope that Obsidian develops it. If Bethesda does it, we'll get a ton of cool setpieces and fun environments for exploration, but the game's IQ will drop 70 points.

Weird, that's the complete opposite of me. Couldn't get into FO3, but been 100 hours in NV. For my money New Vegas IS Fallout.

It has that mix of dire survival and weirdness that I loved about Fallout 1+2. FO3 had a stick up it's butt about how serious a nuclear apocalypse is....in a setting where DC tourist attractions are still largely recognizable 200 years after the end of civilization and radiation makes people into glowing zombies. Yeah it had a few easter eggs, but I had to wait to NV and then the Weird Wasteland to get the kind of game I was looking for.

And then yeah, the writing was better in NV, bu YMMV.

All trailers on the game are fake/fan-made.
Obsidian are currently making a South Park RPG (I think)
Bethesda states that all their future games will be made in Skyrim's Creation Engine, until they make a new one
A Fallout game set outside America would just be too different.
A Fallout game set in New York would be to unsurprising. God damn, does every post-apocalyptic/disaster franchise have to be in New York? It's been over used. Besides, Fallout is exploring a wasteland, not some city full of skyscrapers.

I think a fallout game in Canada would be a great idea. We could have mutated moose, it would be both hilarious and deadly, to see a pale brown, horned abomination charging at you. I also imagine that things would be significantly different than that of DC, or the Mojave. Since Canada is considered "Our Backwards Cousin" by America, maybe the BoS would rule with an iron fist, due to technological superiority, and the enclave would be the good guys, trying to atone for the evils their brothers before them. And maybe there could be a time of a day, due to a nuclear winter, the winds would pick up, and could obscure your sight, so you would be unaware of the giant charging moose (They could be called 'Chargers') speeding towards you. What do my fellow escapists think?

Just so long as I can get a Vault Boy android companion, I'm all for this.

1950's colloquialism and lethal killing machine all wrapped up in a life size Vault Boy...

I would hope for it to be in the Commonwealth. One, it's far enough north that it would be able to justifiably get the hell away from pure dusty wasteland, and two, we've already got some back story for it but not that much. As someone else said earlier, the whole Blade Runner replicant angle would be really fun to check out.

And for those who said LA? No. Given how that part of the Fallout world is relatively civilised by this point, about the only vaguely plausible (and somewhat interesting) story would be for the NCR to fall apart after having lost Hoover Dam whilst the Legion advances. Unless of course it's just the Legion advancing into territory of the NCR after them having lost the Dam, in which case FNV has already more or less done that story.

San Francisco could work since it's known territory, Arroyo's not far north of it so we could have some really nice landscape to play about with, but once again, it'll be a story of the NCR expansion into an area which they may or may not be wanted (albeit with much more of a solid position than they had in FNV).

New York... Maybe. We know absolutely nothing about it in the universe and we could have some real fun with it. And it would also be close enough to the Commonwealth that we could justifiably go there in a DLC.

...fortunately, others can. Even better, those others can draw pretty amazing things (if you look at the rest of JollyJack's gallery, fair warning: he also can draw some over-sexed anthropomorphic animal NSFW things).

I was toying around with an idea for a fan-comic set in the Fallout universe.
It was inspired by the release of a few government doomsday plans a while back. They were written up during the cold war and detailed how the major cities would be abandoned and the remaining members of parliament would establish miniature fiefdoms in various corners of the country, where it was predicted that few bombs (or resulting fallout) would land.
Once I started making notes on a potential story line, though, I decided I liked the concept too much to waste on a profitless fan-project and removed all the Fallout universe elements (what few there actually were. The fate of Europe isn?t really explored).

It?s just at that ?this would make a cool little mini-series? stage, like so many of my projects. Needs a lot of fleshing out before it actually goes anywhere.

IF it goes anywhere.

Gotta get Little Victory done and dusted first.

Edit: "Albion" is the oldest recorded name of the British Isles....not the setting of a Lionhead game......

Why not Texas? Texas is big, bad, and has a kickass history behind it. You could make the Alamo the new fortress of the southern branch of the Brotherhood of Steel or the HQ of the Texas Rangers. And just like theres a cult for Elvis in New Vegas, theres a cult for Chuck Norris. That'd be fun, am I the only one in on this?

New York would be great. You know why? Because the teaser trailer could have Frank Sinatra's 'New York' playing in it. Imagine: zoom out from a radio, song begins. "Start spreadin' the news...", camera pans out out from the crown of the Statue of Liberty, over the harbour and the ruins of Manhattan, at some point zooms in on a power-armoured figure; "New York, New York...", song fades out, camera fades to black. "War. War never changes." Then the words Fallout 4 show. That would be incredible.

I hope it won't be in Canada, I hear it's like Wisconsin, where I live. The gameplay would go *walk for ten hours, then see a radmoose. Then walk for another 5 without seeing anything*.
Radmoose?! That had me in fits of laughter.
OT: I wanna see post-apocalyptic China!!! I want to know how it looked from their end, see their side of the war, know what it was like for them during the invasions.
