Ah, Runescape. About twice a week I consider subscribing again, and I probably subscribe for two months a year (usually around December and some time in the summer, the common element being that I have a lot of free time around then). I've spent over 3000 hours of time in the game, and I don't regret it all. Yes, the game is a huge grind, but that's something that I like about it -- I'm one of those people who really enjoys trying to figure out ways to make playing more efficient and to squeeze more results out of a short amount of time. As long as I don't try to spend, say, 6 hours at a time grinding, it never really reaches the point where I start to hate it. Also, yes, 92-99 is the same amount of experience as 1-92, but I sure would hope that you get better at leveling by the time you get up there. Also, you don't really need 99 in, well, pretty much anything (there are only a few where it's useful), so I don't think that's as huge of an issue as everyone tries to make it.
I'm surprised that I've only seen a little real hate spewing towards the game here -- I honestly expected to see this turn into a flame war by now.
