Rush Limbaugh == Opposed to excessive government meddling.
The California anti-game law == Excessive government meddling.
Is it really so surprising that he'd side against the anti-game law? Because it shouldn't be, unless everything you know about Limbaugh was derived from Moveon.org or the DailyKos (in other words, everything you know about him is a lie or a distortion). And it's just laughable that some people have decided that simply because Limbaugh is endorsing the position THAT DIRECTLY BENEFITS THEM that now they're going to support the anti-game law. Really? Are you that brainwashed? Do you even know who the man is?
Admittedly, he's not always right. He starts saying some ridiculously stupid things whenever the issue of evolution comes up. I can't defend those kinds of statements nor do I intend to. But generally speaking, when it comes to the matter of civil rights (he's in favor of preserving them, in case you're confused) and governance, I find myself agreeing with him. Also, if you need a hint that maybe your political ideology isn't for you, let me define modern liberalism as I did Limbaugh and the anti-game law:
Modern Liberalism == Absolutely adores excessive government meddling, including what kinds of video games you can play, and indeed, how you live every aspect of your life.
So, if you're a liberal and yet you don't want your videogames to be regulated into oblivion, then maybe it's time to take a step back, reevaluate your life, and adopt a new, better ideology that better conforms to what you want out of life? Like, say, anything but liberalism? Well, I don't blame you if you don't. Peer pressure is pretty good at overriding logic, after all.
