California's legislature is controlled by the Democrats and Schwarzenegger is considered by many (including me) to be a RINO who only acts conservative now and then to get votes, but then makes numerous concessions to the left. He's barely a Republican at all, to be honest. The Obama admin did not do this. It's the state of California, specifically Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican, who is serving as the plaintiff. The Obama administration has had absolutely nothing to do with this.
Maybe that didn't convince you. Well, try this: Try to get into a townhall meeting featuring Barack Obama, and ask him about the anti-game law. If he doesn't give a definitive answer, which is likely, then guess what? He could care less what happens.
It's true that the network tends to pander towards conservative people and features conservative commentators, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are conservative themselves. I would say that they are more likely to look for attention-grabbing headlines that shock their viewers rather than seriously assess a claim like "videogames kill people" or whatever. It's a tabloid mentality, not a conservative mentality, in other words. That's wrong! There's no cause/effect relationship between right or left wingers and freedom of speech cases. The one network that's come down hardest on video game free speech in that they've been making up ridiculous stories for years about how video games are killing our children is the Conservative network Fox News.
