What is the saddest moment in TV you have witnessed. Spoilers!

Mine would be in Lost when Ben convinces Lock not to hang himself, then proceeds to strangle him to death. I actually cried.

The scene in one of the episodes of Avatar where Uncle Iroh is singing about his fallen son. It was used as a memorial to Iroh's voice actor.

Well Ive seen a lot of sad things but watching the Pacific last night beat all of them. The moment when Lecky takes the doll out of that Japanese soldiers bag along with his wife's picture nearly had me in tears.

Conan O'Brien's last Tonight Show.
Yeah, his speach was amazing.

Also, when Friend's ended, various scenes from The Office, when Arrested Development ended, and I'm calling it when Ugly Betty ends...

I can't name any one moment, but damn, Cold Case hits you hard. I'm pretty sure about half the episodes have made me tear up in the end.

I think every season of 24 has it's sad moments.

But the clear winner for me is Dexter

Dexter finally marries his girlfriend, Rita, and moves in with her, and they start to bring up their family. Throughout series 4, he goes about tracking down a new serial killer (called Trinity), culminating in the killers death in the final episode. Right before he finishes him, Trinity tells Dexter it's already over.

Dexter then goes home to find Rita murdered in the bath in the same style as Trinity's other victims, with their newborn son sitting crying on the blood-covered floor.

Now this was sad in itself, but I think the saddest moment is when you watch the episode again, and notice the sadness in Trinity's eyes as he tries to tell Dexter that he's already murdered his wife with his final words ...

I didn't cry, but it was one of those moments that just sucked the energy out of me.

The ending of the Futurama episode The Luck Of The Fryrish is epically saddening.

Either that or Ben's funeral from Scrubs (my screwup).
Oh, that too.
That was so unsuspected.

i still don't think it was him, because his character has rigid set of rules when it comes to his... victims, and Rita is out of all three
