What is the saddest movie you have ever seen in the history of your life? My choice would be Star Wars: Episode III. When Anakin is turned to the dark side, and kills those kids, and later Padme, I came the closest to crying in that movie than I have in my life.

I cried throughout it.

....Please tell me thats the only movie you've ever seen then. Jeez man, get out there and see some better movies!

As for mine, I really don't know, I'll have to think about it, but the saddest part of a movie that I've seen in a while is definitely the first 15minutes of Up.

UP.

THAT IS ALL.
Up as a whole is definitely not sad. In fact, I found it very uplifting at the end and extremely heartfelt. The kid needed a friend/father figure and Carl needed someone to get himself through his waning years. Truly an amazing story, but certainly not sad. The beginning though, as I said, is the saddest I've seen in a while.

Really? Up wasn't sad to me at all. It was a bit depressing that his wife died, but I didn't feel very much for it. Then again, as "madcap2112" pointed out, I have no soul.

Big Fish. One of the best films to capture the real feeling of a father/son relationship. Doesn't matter which end of that dynamic you fall on it has something for you.

Cast Away.
When Wilson gets lost.
No other movie has ever made me sad.

Who are you talking to? Me or Marter (who doesn't actually watch movies because "they are a social thing")?

Grave of the Fireflies, perhaps. No happy ending. Just pain, and suffering, and torment for two young children.

Wait a sec...I don't watch movies?

How did I review <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/2-50-Reviews>all of these?

I don't like going to the movies, but watching the DVD of them is fine. ;p

That's a really low amount of movies, which proves my point that you don't watch movies often at all...jerk [:
