As for mine, I really don't know, I'll have to think about it, but the saddest part of a movie that I've seen in a while is definitely the first 15minutes of Up.
Who are you talking to? Me or Marter (who doesn't actually watch movies because "they are a social thing")?
I was speaking to you. Episode III almost brought you to tears, yet other movies haven't? It was either that, or you don't watch many movies is all I was saying.

Probably Moon. It just gets me thinking about humanity and morality.

There are probably more conventionally sad films out there, but Moon makes you think about things most people wouldn't even waste a second on, and that alone makes it a great film.

Its also got one of the most depressing atmospheres for a film ever. The moon. Alone. Without any real human contact for three years on a wasteland, billions of miles away from home. This movie will not make you cry. This movie will make you feel like shit all the way through your body.

A few runners up would be Pan's Labyrinth (favorite movie ever), The Wrestler, Toy Story 3, and, even though I'm not really a fan of the film, Requiem For A Dream (mostly for the mother's sake).

If you haven't seen any of these films, I recommend you do it now. Though probably not in one sitting, because you'll probably kill yourself afterwards.

EDIT:

I cried throughout it.
Yes. This too. Pretty much, find a Sam Rockwell film, and you'll find depression in some way, shape, or form. God I love that man...

Cast Away.
When Wilbur gets lost.
No other movie has ever made me sad.
I think you meant Wilson.

Normally a small issue, but that scene, that heartbreaking scene needs to be right.

That's a really low amount of movies, which proves my point that you don't watch movies often at all...jerk [:
Considering I've done all those since the middle of August, I think it's a good amount.

I watch a shitton of movies, but only Star Wars has the ability to drive me that far. How is it possible to come really close once you see Anakin killing young jedi like lambs?

Asherah uses "hyper beam" which is super effective. Foe Marter faints. There, I win.

But...Hyper Beam isn't Super Effective against anything. No type combination possible is weak against it.

Therefore I win, and I'm now off to watch a movie. (Se7en, if you wish to know).

It helps if you see Christensen give a much more cry worthy performance in "Life As A House" before that. Reminds me that an actor rises to the people he's working with. Better cast in a scene, better performance.

Its not...and nor is his acting. Hayden Christenson or whatever the hell his name is, is the worst actor of this current generation of actors coming out. I'm so glad I haven't seen anymore crap with him in it. He ruins films for me.

I never saw that character as anything to become emotionally attached to anyway.

Bridge to Terrabitha. I read the books and knew it was going to happen but...
When she dies and the look on the boys face. I almost lost it. But then he tries to act as though she's still there and everyone is lying, I lost it. I balled like a baby. And then when he realizes she's dead and takes his sister to Terribitha, I cried some more. I love that movie!

I know Hayden Christensen isn't very good by any means, but the action of killing little jedi as a corrupted Skywalker is sad no matter which actor does it. There isn't any dialogue in it either, so shut up haters.

Gah why did you have to remind me of that.

Bridge to Teribethea made me cry, even though I knew exactly what was coming.
