"No, that was more so the alcohol itself didn't kill her, and it looks like it did its job. I mean, you looked almost dead. How much did you have?" Sven also conveniently left out exactly where he got the amethyst. As he talked, he looked in the fridge to see if he needed to get rid of any more alcohol and saw a bag of Reese's Pieces. I will give the guys who stock the fridge one thing: they have good taste, he thought as he started snacking on the candy.

Rochelle drank the second glass of water in one, and said, "I don't remember exactly. I used a shot glass, but it wasn't pure rum. I would never do that. My drinks were mixed like Lillith's, but on a much smaller scale." She hesitated. "Wait. Did you say that much alcohol could have killed me?" Her voice rose slightly in mild panic.

Crap. Now I've got her worried about drinking herself to death. Though a little worry may be good if it prevents this from happening again. Between mouthfuls of candy, Sven said cautiously, "I don't know that much about angels, but if your pulse had been any slower I would have had to get the nurse involved." He turned to the lamia. "Heck, I'm surprised you weren't out cold, too. Between the two of you, half the bottle was gone."

She looked down, mumbling, [small]"Well, I just figured that it'd end up being the same. With her using a smaller glass and all. It doesn't really affect me as much. But I guess I didn't think of that in the moment..."[/small]

Rochelle bowed her head in shame. "I'm sorry, Sven," she said, her voice choked slightly. "This is all my fault. I found the bottle, I was the one who suggested we drink. I was an idiot, and I should've known better." She set the glass down and crossed back to her bed.

Sven sighed and put an arm around Rochelle. "Look, people make mistakes. Just try to be a little more careful, okay?" That's right, dig yourself into a deeper hole. Let's see where that will get you. Sven looked at the time. "Holy crap, the party's going to start soon."

Rochelle jumped a little at Sven's unexpected touch. "I probably shouldn't go," she said. "Am I right? I think I remember someone mentioning there was gonna be alcohol... just the smell of it would probably make me want to throw up again."

Maybe Mr Oneirius was right, she thought to herself. I should probably talk to him about what I'm hiding from everyone else.

The party? Lillith looked at the clock, which was now indicating a few minutes past the time of her talk with Oneirius. "Crap, I'm so late. He's gonna kill me..." Hopefully the demon had gotten sidetracked as well and Oneirius would accept an apology or five. "Look, Rochelle, you shouldn't blame yourself for it. We were both a bit to blame... Like Sven said, we all make mistakes. There's no point worrying about the what if's. We just learn from it and move on, right?"

Learn... move on. Why was giving advice always so much easier than following it? She was being such a goddamned hypocrite.

She looked around for her map before realising that she will have left it in her own room. Crap... Even more late. "Sorry guys. I really have to go." She made a polite tip of the head to both of them, receiving two goodbyes, and then left, going back towards her own room.

Maybe Sven'll convince her to go. It'd be a shame for her to miss out...

A tad rushed, so much so that I'm not sure half of the post even makes sense contextually or if I'm just having Lilli blurt out some useless, cliched rubbish about the past, honesty and other such things, but I can't be bothered. Feeling bleh at the moment anyway.

If Sam could start making his way to nowhere in particular, that'd be nice. I figured that we could do this little meeting as Lillith explaining some things and saying sorry to Sam with Oneirius in the background not doing much. Maybe have this particular conversation in random white space like that of Rochelle's meeting with Oneirius. Or maybe a sort of out-of-body experience brought on by magic.

If you have a better idea Alo, go right ahead with it. Just let me know first so that we can be doing the same thing here.

"C'mon, Rochelle, this is the first real social event of the year. It would be a terrible shame for you to miss it, since that pretty much leaves me on my own. Tell ya what, I'll take you there for 'bout five minutes and if you don't like it or you start getting sick, I'll bring you back and we can do something else, okay?" Sven got up off the bed and waited to see if Rochelle would follow.

Rochelle thought for a few seconds, considering her options, then got up and said, "Oh, why not. I guess I can't come up with a counter-argument." She smiled and made her way to the bathroom. "I'll just make myself beautiful and we can go," she said with a short laugh.

As soon as she entered the bathroom, she made straight for the mirror and attacked her long hair with a brush and comb, removing the knots and settling it into the natural, loose way she wore most often. She slipped out of the bathroom a minute later and said, "I guess I'm good to go."

Carolina cleaned her hands on a hand towel before taking the worn purple binder from Dillon. The cover was well used showing that the book had been drawn in often, maybe even traveled with. She slowly flipped through the pages, examining each one, one at a time. Some were delicate drawings of birds, others of landscapes, but her favorites were the ones of people unaware they had been drawn. It was so raw and natural, taking her breath away. ?These?wow. These are something,? she said looking up at Dillon for a moment before skimming more drawings. ?You?re proportions are impeccable. I have to admit, I?m thoroughly impressed. How did you learn to draw like this?? she asked as the pot of noodles on the stove started to boil over. ?Oh crap,? she said, placing the notebook on the counter before moving the hot pot off the stove and draining the water away.

I?m so so so sorry for taking forever to update, I?ve just been up to my ears in work. I?ll try to get my posts out faster; I hate to hold anyone from continuing the story. Once again so sorry, I won?t let it happen again. Hope my rushed post makes up for it :)

"All right, then," Sven said as he left the dorm for the party, Rochelle not far behind. At least she doesn't need an hour and a half of preparation to get the mail. Not like... NO! Stop it! Concentrate on the here and now. He was about halfway down the stairs when he ran into Nathan. "Hey, Nathan, ready for the party?" Sven jokingly asked the lich.

Dillon blushed under the weight of Carolina's praise.
"Thanks..." he mumbled to her back as she dealt with the food. "I dunno, I guess you just get good at stuff when you've got nothing else to do. I have been drawing for pretty much most of my life..."
He decided to make himself useful by rooting through the cupboards for some bowls. He found two hidden behind a stack of plates, and placed them on the counter to be filled.

It's alright, don't worry. =] You can't help it if you're busy. Besides, the RP hasn't been all that active for the last few days as far as I can tell anyway. :)

The snake woman slithered into her room, flicking the lights on and casting a searching glance about the room. She didn't remember taking the map out of her pocket at all... So maybe it was still in there? She placed the cracked amethyst and it's dust down on her bedside table and went to the pile of used clothes just next to the bathroom door.

She pulled the skirt she had been wearing earlier from the pile and started to riffle around in the pockets, hoping to find - Ha! Here it was. She pulled the map out and scanned it quickly, looking for Oneirius' office.

[HEADING=3]No! I refuse to let it die! I will not let it![/HEADING] Not before Rochelle... never mind. =D

I guess j1-2themax and I are waiting on Quad08 before we can continue any further. A lot of people have lost interest, though.

Edit: I put a post up in the group, asking who was still interested.

Very well. That would probably be the smartest thing to do. By the way, Passover vacation has begun yesterday here in Israel. That's three weeks of constant computer! Yey!

Nathan turned around, having finally made it back to the school to make preperations for the evening

"Of course. I just need to go to my room, grab a few things. I doubt I look stylish in these"

He said, refering to his grubby looking clothes

"I suppose you're right. Don't be too long, though. I would hate for you to miss any of it." With that, Sven bid the lich good day and continued down the stairs. Once there, he looked at his map, only to come to a sudden realization. "I suppose this doesn't help much if you have no idea where your final destination is," Sven joked with Rochelle.
