"It is a bit odd, don't you think?" Lillith admitted. "I mean, we met yesterday. And today we're holding hands and dressing up to go out to a party. It's like we're going on a da-" She purposefully dropped the end of the sentence and let go of Nathan's hand, blushing as she finished the sentence in her mind.

She stopped slithering alongside him and put her head down, letting her hair fall to shade her face and hoping that he hadn't seen her go red. After a second she started moving slowly along with him again. She was fighting the temptation to grab his hand, holding both hands together so that she wouldn't subconsciously slip her hand back into his.

Don't apologise. Just pretend like nothing happened. Pretend like you didn't have a mini-freak out... And don't let him see you blushing! Her voice had turned quiet, so that he could just hear it over the band. [small]"It's a bit odd... Like, we're not that close, are we? I just... thought you'd come here with someone else."[/small]

Rochelle turned with Sven to see the werewolf they had met before the assembly. He wore a half-grin, half-leer on his face, which did nothing to help his looks. She brushed her hair out of her face and said, "Oh. Hello," to the as-of-yet unnamed werewolf.

Carolina followed suit and quickly finished her makeshift meal, placing the bowl into the sink with his so that she wouldn?t hold anyone up. ?Sure, let?s head on out,? she said starting for the door, grabbing her camera as she left out the door with Dillon. When they got to the grounds, outside music flooded her ears and she could not help but smile. This was definitely her taste in music, loud and obnoxious. Students mulled around as they headed towards the main gathering of students. ?Wow, looks like word gets around fast?? she said in awe. It was going to be some party.

"Yeah, it........."
Dillon trailed off as his senses were attacked from every possible angle. Music thrashed and convulsed in the air, beating against his chest and wrapping itself around his head. There were people laughing and joking - an overwhelming sense of happiness seeping it's way across the grass, ensnaring anyone who came near. The smells of autumn climbed stealthily into his nostrils, dancing and mingling in the fading light of the day.
A broad grin spanned Dillon's pale cheeks as he took it all in, drinking up every aspect of the experience. He had never really been to many parties before, but this was making one hell of a first impression.
He turned to face Carolina, the grin on his face still as wide as ever, showing off his perfect white teeth. "So.............how about we go meet some people, then?"

"So, you going to introduce me to your girlfriend or are you trying to keep her to yourself?" Mark asked teasingly.

Sven blushed a little, even if nobody could see it under the wolf fur. He tried to hide his embarrasment under annoyance, though he wasn't quite sure of his success. "We've been over this already: she's my roommate, not my girlfriend. Rochelle, this is Mark Caldwell; Mark, Rochelle."

"Really?" Mark replied with an almost mocking tone of voice. "Well, if she's not your girlfriend, then I suppose you wouldn't mind if I asked her out, would you?"

Nathan turned to Lilith and cocked his head to the side

"If you're feeling uncomfortable, just say so. I was merely trying to be nice. It's been awhile since I've made any living contact and I had no idea that styles had changed so much from...the past"

He lamented, stroking his chin before spreading his arms wide with a laugh

"In any case, please feel no obligation to hang around with me. I'm sure you have friends awaiting you"

Rochelle flinched visibly at Mark's words, stunned by his abruptness and tone of voice. "I... sorry, wait. You're asking me out, here and now?" She recovered quickly, and followed up her question with a couple more: "Before I answer, Mark, what's your reason behind asking me? Why do you want to date me?"

He'll probably say it's because he thinks I'm good-looking. If I do go out with Mark, I'll just be a thing to cling to his arm, something he can boast about to his friends and claim he's screwing an angel when I'm not around. Dumbass will probably get me knocked up, break it off and move on to the next girl. I can't date someone who'd do that to me.

Alex crawled into bed as he heard the band starting up. He was weary from the work he had done around the room and wanted to sleep. Charles was already de-activated on his desk and Alex just slipped away to sleep.

Reveller's were still pouring out of Vicar St a scarce distance away. Alex heard them but their laughter didn't seem real. He looked down at the corpse in his arms as the tears continued to pour down his face. "Well brother. What is your answer now?" Alex looked up at the other man on the roof of this old tenement building. He stood at six foot with short blond hair. "My answer stays the same Oz. Never." His brother was fast and strong and he punched Alex downwards through the roof into the top floor of the building. Alex lay there with his body broken as his brother stood over him. "You know you will die here right? Those windows have no curtains and the sunlight is only an hour away." His brother let out a snort of laughter "And with your decision to not feed your bones won't heal. Goodbye Brother."

Alex was left alone in the room as the dust continued to settle. He watched the sunlight come towards him and felt the terror take over him. He couldn't move and the light engulfed his hand and then his body.

Alex woke straight up out of his bed. He was shaking badly. He felt the need to leave his room and disappear in a crowd. He looked out at the party and decided. He pulled on some clean clothes from his chest of drawers and proceeded to make his way there.

Changed my mind about what is going to happen. (Sorry for disappearing for a while)

"I'm just... [small]being weird.[/small]" If she could, Lillith would be kicking herself repeatedly. She was making a big deal out of everything she did, making clumsy mistakes over nothing, and she didn't even know why.

She looked back up to Nathan. Her face was red, with a slight smile, and she looked straight at him. She decided that regardless of what she did now, it wouldn't be uncomfortable. She'd ignore any mistakes and move past them without a second thought. She grabbed his hand a final time, weaving her fingers around his, "If you're good with it, I'm good with it too."

They headed into the party, and Lillith directed them towards a table with a large fountain upon it, which seemed to be pouring blood, and several smaller automatically refilling bowls that contained other drinks. They had, helpfully enough, been labeled. She filled a cup with some fizzy drink and sipped it.

Through the growing crowd of party-goers, Lillith could see a few people she recognised. Apparently Sven had managed to convince Rochelle to turn up, so she'd hopefully be able to talk to them in a while. Until then she could make smalltalk with Nathan and get to know him a bit better. "So Nath, where'd you live before Poemandres?"

Nathan was so happy now that his expression never changed. Having a skull for a face really made lying easier

"I've been all over. I'd mostly stowaway on ships and see the world. What else is there to do when you're dead?"

He sighed dramatically and shrugged, pouring himself something to drink and downing it all, the liquid disappearing as soon as it entered his mouth, and then he tossed the cup into the trash

"It used to be easier to stowaway in the past but now they all these security measures. Troublesome things really. What about you? You look like you've traveled before"

Hopefully he'd be able to shift the conversation back to her. There wasn't a whole lot of happy in his past

You weren't stowing away with the right people then. "You could say that for most people here though. We probably all had to hide from society at one point or another, and most would have traveled around to get away from it. That's what I did anyway..." She took another sip of the drink, "Moved all the way across the ocean."

"Sounds rough."

She sighed. "It is... But you live and learn, don't you." She looked at him and chuckled, "Or, maybe not so much living in your case."

"Yeah lets all make fun of the dead guy"

He chuckled, though he couldn't deny it was pretty funny

"So, other than being part snake, what other abilities do you have?"

Nathan asked

"If its personal don't answer, but I have been curious about other supernatural beings ever since I came to this school and I've never heard of your kind before"

She didn't think of what she had as abilities, but she didn't want to bring him down with a story about her past. She looked to the cup and thought of something. "I'll show you a trick. Just keep watching the bin." She took one final drink from the cup and encircled the end of her tail around it, grasping it gently.

She brought the cup as far up her spine as it would go and then dropped it, letting it roll down on it's side. As it rolled onto the tip of her tail once more she flicked it forwards and upwards, with it spinning in midair for a second before landing in the bin.

"There's one. You can learn some more later."

Nathan applauded, impressed with the way she had coordinated her body

"Now thats a talent right there. Pray tell, did you learn that through being bored or..."

He trailed off as he spotted a familiar face in the crowd. His blonde haired friend was leaning against a party table across the field, a drink in his hand and a smirk on his face. When he noticed Nathan's stare, he winked and tipped his glass towards him before disappearing into the crowd.

Noticing that he had suddenly stopped talking, Nathan quickly continued

"Are all your tricks that impressive?"

"Depends on your tastes I suppose. I don't do them too often, you know." She was talking of the way she could seemingly snap her bones apart and then fuse them again. Her skeleton was made of hundreds upon thousands of tiny fragments, much like a snake's, so it could shift. It hurt to do, it wasn't a pretty sight to behold and it sure as hell didn't make people laugh.

To be honest, she was having an okay time just talking to Nathan. He was always finding the brighter side of things. She turned to get a second drink, having quite enjoyed the first. Okay, show him that you're getting more confident. An ambiguously charming phrase.

"Maybe after the party I could show you a trick or two in private." She giggled.

Nathan laughed aloud

"Well aren't you the confident one"

With that he took out his wand and tapped his head. A snowy white aura surrounded Nathan and suddenly a brown haired, green eyed young man was standing in front of Lilith, exactly the same height and body type as skeleton Nathan, who winked at her

"I'm sure this makes it easier to flirt. And no, it is not an illusion. This is how I looked on the day I...died"

Her eyes opened wide in disbelief, and she dropped the newly poured drink to the ground. "Holy..." She looked around, to the oblivious people that continued to talk then looked back to the new figure before her. Compared to this, her little trick before was absolutely nothing.

She gibbered unintelligibly, moving a bit closer and running her hand along his now flesh-covered arm, before managing to smile at him and get a few words out. "It's a nice change..."

Lillith thought, after a short while of trying to figure out what had happened, that Nathan was opening up to her. "You died... but you came back. How'd it... happen?"

"Part of the deal I made, I can stay like this for 12 hours a week"

Nathan grinned as be bent down to pick up Lilith's cup, tossing the old one out and pouring her a new one, handing it to her.

"As for how it happened...shot with a musket ball through the heart, fell into the water and drowned at sea"

He spoke seriously before a small grin spread across his face

"All the way down to Davey Jones"
