"Minnase, sate teriyuu! (everybody stop it now)
We... we all want to get along, right? right?"

If you adress someone younger then yourself, you'd add a -chan to their name, you add a -san when talking to someone older, as far as I figured out anyway ;P

Jeffery looked and saw the bar dissolve from his book he picked it up again and started flicking through the pages making sure nothing was altered, seeing everything was in order he closed the book and set it in his jean pocket.

"hm that was some impressive light bending she just did...I might need to keep my eye on her" Jeffery thought before sitting back down still trying to memorize his spells.

Kohana let go a sigh of relief, als she felt the tension drop, that had been rising just moments ago.

True, you can use it a an adress of respect, but no one respects someone younger or in any way inferior, in Japan ;P

Not true, I've spent time in Japan and they are a very polite society.

Catalina nodded,

Jeffery read through his spell book one last time before setting raising his head from it and finally speaking without being spoken to.

"excuse me, would either of you know when the zeppelin will get here, or are you just as clueless as I am?" Jeffery asked politely scanning the horizons for any sign of it.

"I am sorry, but Oniisan only told me to wait here. But I hope it'll be here soon, it's starting to get cold."

Kohana relaxed a little, and tried to regain a comfortable seat atop her bag, as she spoke.

Their culture is different from our culture. A comparison of single cultural attributes can not be made. Yes, they are very polite but also yes, they automatically give more respect to older people(as do many cultures). Those two behaviors don't negate each other.

The zeppelin is getting closer. A warm, powerful wind waves in the grass around you as it's massive shadow descends towards the hilltop, slowly covering the moon and the stars, cloaking you in darkness. There is a silvery sheen to the great ghost ship, but not one that would make anyone of you uneasy. You have all seen stranger things in your supernatural lives.
Except Kohana, but she didn't see anything at all.
The noise of the zeppelin's engines, though eerily quiet, is still getting louder and louder as the machine gets closer to you. The earth trembles.

I was having trouble reading that in the present tense, no offense meant.

"This thing is strange. Does anyone know why we have to take a giant balloon to this school? I'm sure they could have thought of something a little more inconspicuous."

Grammar is overrated - you might want to edit it to "ship" though, unless the spirit of a giant fluffy animal is approaching ;) - unrelated, how does a zeppelin make the earth tremble?

"What's going on? Tell me, what's happening? I've never heard something like THAT before."

Catalina gave Chaz a questioning look, "what, pretell, could be more awesome than a Zeppelin?"

If it crashes!

"I don't know, but it seems like overkill for a secret school. They don't have teleporters or a magic train or something?"

Jeffery stopped testing his spells and turned around to see the unmistakable sight of the Hindenburg approaching from the distance.

"oh great the Hindenburg, cause that was such a great idea the first time" Jeffery said sarcastically to no one in particular as he put his book into his pocket and collected his suitcase from under a nearby tree waiting for the airship to arrive.
