Still, she has a masters degree in Political Science.
As a student of political science myself (in Denmark, mind you), I'm having a hard time believing she ever finished her degree in political science - unless it was a very minor degree *badam-thish!*

It's my experience, that attending political science tends to have one of two effects on very normative-minded people: Either A: It takes the rough off the edges or B: scares the hell out of them and make them flee.

Political science is more or less an attempt to adress politics and society as areas to which a similar angle of approach like the one used in chemistry, physics etc. can be applied - in other words: it's possible to make scientific statements about political and social activity. Those who end up sticking through the course and recieve a degree by the end tend to be motivated more by "How can I explain either the reason, function or purpose behind a particular or general event/phenomenon?" and "Is my research valid?" than "OMFG, reflecting on theoretical angle and choice of methods is for nOObs, since Raptor-Jesus already holds all the answers, ROFLMAO".

I'm inclined to believe that either the educational properties of American political science are vastly different than those of Danish political science; or Palin somehow cheated at her graduating. And since American universities are known to have produced remarkable political scientists such as Theda Skocpol, then... well...

she just panders to the crowed, more so than most politicians, she cant be bothered to actually learn these important things.
But if she was nominated, would you vote for her or the democrate, supposing the democrate wasn't a huge retard?

Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck do not represent the views of the majority of Tea Party-ers. The media just attaches those two chuckleheads to the Tea Party to try to ruin the credibility of a legitimate grassroots movement.

At least I hope so, because it looks like the Tea Party is going to be our only way out of this whole Republican/Democrat dichotomy bullshit.
What part of the Koch Brothers financing the Tea Party through organizations like Americans for Prosperity makes it grassroots? It seems to be completely corporation founded, corporation run for corporation profit. The Tea Party are nothing but republicans on methamphetamine. You Tea Party does nothing to shatter the two party system, EVERY tea party candidate ran as a republican not as an independent.

Sir John the Net Knight earns a permanent ignore for the sheer ignorance of his flame baiting (and that's all his comment was, look at the complete lack of argument in his one sentence post).
Oh dear, I'm totally crushed. No really, is this topic even worthy of a real debate? Better question, if I bothered to debate, would anyone listen?

If I had any real sense, I'd stay out of these obvious trolling topics.
Why? All you do anyways (as far as I can tell);
is quickly jump-in and make a nonsensical point for your side

If anyone so much as questions it; you just tell them they have no business talking about politics here anyways so you don't have to back up anything you say.

You are doing the trolling. If you think this doesn't belong in this section. Say "This doesn't belong here". End. Done. Finished.

Don't start adding to it and pretending you are against it. Either you want to discuss it or you don't. Don't start belittling what other people say with no substance and pretend you're the victim of trolls because "you didn't want to get involved".

Easy. Problem solved.

I don't see how you can make up an justified excuse for this. Sure we are all humans but someone who is running/plans to become president of a country born on Capitalism should at least know where their friggin' Communism counterparts are.

Seriously, it seems geography classes in USA suck, generalization and assumption of course. ;)
Off track but, Yeah they do.I know cause I'm there. It's like a recent test showing that atheists know more about religion than religious folk.
Is that counting on one specific religion, or just religion in general. If it's the later, I could kinda see that. Kinda.

irony... her notion of God is why I ignore her.

Ron Paul is a better candidate, even if his idea of a country allows for states to execute people for any crime.

Doesn't really fill me with confidence, but anyone can slip up. Did she correct herself? That's what matters.

I dislike her too, and I'm Canadian, so if she is president that has major effects here.

But she has huge popularity. If she gets nominated, she'll get ravenous supporters.
If she loses, worst case scenario is she becomes the nominee for 2016.

And then... I don't know.... She's a full time FOX reporter?
I don't even want to know what her policy with our beloved country would be like.

"Oh, they've got enough resources over there and no one cares about Mexico either. Let's just cancel the NAFTA thingy [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Free_Trade_Agreement] and slap everyone who wants to trade with us with a huge tax. That'll fix the country!"

Please America, do not vote for this woman.

Ugh. I hate it when politicians make gaffes because critics latch onto those insignificant mistakes, instead of more substantial issues. There's literally a ton of actual ideas, beliefs, and policy issues people can debate, but no, they all choose to focus on a fucking gaffe. You know what what are more substantial issues people can attack her on? In the same interview, Palin supports racial profiling in airports, attacks the 60s-70s feminist movements for holding back women, deliberately twisting their ideals, and provides an implausible, antagonistic response to the North Korea situation. Let's at least try to add more meaning to political discourse, instead of making the shit pile higher.

Funny, I've always thought that the Tea Party was part of the whole Republican/Democrat dichotomy. Specifically, the Republican side.

Well... maybe you're right.

I'm not officially a Tea Party-er myself, but I have a friend who is, and HE certainly seems to think it's a grassroots movement.

This probably warrants more investigation than I've given it. Thanks for jump-starting my skepticism engine.

No need for that, just move to Canada.
I'm already on the other side of The Pond, however not even that is enough to quell the sheer and utter terror (and embarrassment as a human being) I feel for the prospect of her becoming president of one of the world's most powerful countries.

if he/she wasn't a massive idiot they'd be the best candidate, on either side, in at least two decades and would deserve my vote.

Democrats are ruining this fucking country. So glad the GOP won the 2010 elections - that's a step in the right direction. I don't really care for Palin, but she'd easily make a better president than any Democrat so yea, I'd vote for her. And since a whole lot of black people voted (for the first time in their lives) to get obama in just because he's black, I'm sure having a woman run would have a similar effect.
