Silent Hill 2 might be the scariest game I've ever played. And it's the good kind of scary, where even though you've played it before, you still worry that something terrifying is going to happen at any moment.xxhazyshadowsxx said:Silent Hill 2!

I've heard great things about Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube, and just recently was told about Call of Cthulhu for Xbox, a game where you hallucinate, hear voices, have your vision blur, and shake uncontrollably, all at expense to your sanity. If your sanity gets too low, you take your own life, either with your own weapon your bare hands. How can you not want to play that game??
Myst scared the hell out of me sometimes when I played it for the first time.saintchristopher said:A lot of the old CD-ROM first-person puzzle adventures were pretty creepy. Even MYST at some points, in spite of itself, was kind of unsettling just because of the total isolation.
D3 was too predictable..anytime when you were not fighting monsters you could always count on one appearing out of nowhere around the next corner or where it was dark.martin said:Doom 3 had pretty good atmosphere that lead to some tense moments.
