It is sad that we must teach children what is real and what isn't.

Were we all that stupid back then?
I dunno I wanted to get my Pokemon license when I turned 10 and faithfully waited for my digital partner to show up.

But even then I knew violence was wrong.

I suppose if it works, keep on it! It's kind of disappointing when you can't count on parents or schools to teach kids the difference between right and wrong and real and fantasy. You have to call in the police and show them images of graphic violence juxtaposed with one of their (possibly) favorite passtimes.

This is probably one of the best ideas anyone has had regarding violent video-games. Parents (and Jack Thompson) can stop being all anti-game when they're kids outright say to them "I know it's not real, they taught us at school". I don't know, just seems like a good idea.

wow this doesn't sound like a bad program and maybe this could prove to people that violence in video games don't cause violence in real life and maybe they'll lower the age on M rated content (well a guy can dream) but what's really bothering me is the fact that the government is doing the parent's job...again

btw 10 years old? when I was ten I could tell what real and what was fake

Oh, the delishious irony, first were ramnat deviants, now the thing we love the most could help young children difrientriat from reality and games.

Still, nice to know about this program.

I'm all for the education of children. Sometimes I feel like they're not being educated enough these days. And the method of doing so in this case seems pretty sound.

Um, if a kid can't ell the difference between fantasy and reality by then they have a serious problem. Maybe if it was kids 3-5 I could believe it but anything much older than that I have a hard time swallowing.
Can't tell the difference at 10-11 years old, the kids need psychiatric help. Yes, 3-5 is more believable. When Ghostbusters 2 came out in theaters, I was 4 and my mom took me to go see it. Apparently a scary looking dude coming out of a painting will scare the crap out of a 4 year old. My mom was pissed that she had to take me out of the theater because it freaked me out so much, then she wondered why I had nightmares for weeks.

I like this idea, helping children to differentiate between whats real and whats not.

Then again, if children these days actually need help figuring this out, then I'm terrified for the future.

I am not entirely certain how effective it'll be, but it's certainly creative and it doesn't demonize us gamers, so I'm all for it.

Why is a school teaching kids whats right and wrong? Isn't that I don't know the parents responsibility?

This may well be depicting knife-using car thieves as the selfish morons that they are
Nico wasn't a selfish moron? Who would even say such a thing!
