Oh and people saying they don't want ot see it because it has elements of romance in it can fuck off. I can't think of a film in recent years that DIDN'T have romance in it, even the fucking Expendable had a shit romance sub plot. All the Expendable has going for it is it's hyped up cast and once the first people have seen it and found out its shit it'll drop off the charts, Scott Pilgrim will have greater word of mouth and will build up a following.
You seem a little bit angry. Let me break it down for you so that you can at least try to understand why some of us aren't really that excited about Scott Pilgrim. Essentially, we're being faced with this:
Awkward video game dude chasing girl so incredibly above his level and getting her.
-or-
Enough action stars to make at least five movies, all working together to shoot guns, punch each other around and blow crap up.
I've seen far, far too many movies with awkward, hipster douches making
clever and
witty references while chasing a girl that would never, ever stoop to their level. The Expendables may not earn any awards for originality, let alone having a brilliant story or the best actors, but what it does have is shit getting blown up. And shit getting blown up has a timeless quality to it.
