SikTh. Very obscure and underrated British Tech metal outfit, now posthumous releases circulate from them. A unique sound varying from their off time riffage, melodic vocalists (there are two), and the nature of their lyrics; tackling topics such as unrequited love and estrangement form nature. They broke up right after this album dropped, which is a shame. They could have grew into so much more.

I'll say what I always say: Dr. Steel and Gogol Bordello.
I will back this man up and also state that these two bands are two of the most awesome bands ever.
You deserve a beer, good sir.

look up the band
this is not a game of who the fuck are you
im not kidding that is there band name
I know loads of people who know the Band, I know the Band, this is more an age thing, because everyone of a certain age will have heard of the band. Anyone who's seen the Last Waltz knows the band, and anyone who has even a slightly in-depth knowledge of Bob Dylan knows the Band.

(I'm being pedantic I know, but this is a lesser known bands thread, the Band are famous, just mainly to an older generation of music lovers.)
You forgot fans of Easy Rider, fairly sure they did a couple of songs for it but the only one i can really remember is the weight.

Jack Johnson and Amos Lee. Both of them are acoustic soul-ish folk-ish songs. Very calming I listen to them along with John Mayer and Jason Mraz when I do my homework.

As well with my Deconstruction post, Polar bear is pretty unknown.

Eric Avery (The mind between these two projects) is genius, and a damn good bassist, my favorite. His stuff with Jane's Addiction is amazing.

The Naked and Famous. These guys are probably my favourite band of the up-and-coming quality, and therefore need more exposure. Chances are you won't have heard of them if you aren't from NZ, and even then it is somewhat unlikely. But i love this track - give it a listen.

Faunts, though Mass Effect has given them a much-needed visibility boost.

Leo Badinella, because he rocks at guitar:

Check him out if you're into instrumental rock, or TNM for that matter

I would have to say, The Beatles.
Though they just had a game about them released, so I would say they are on the up and up.

I'm in love with Evergrey and Echoes of Eternity, I doubt many of heard of either of them.

I love it when someone else listens to bands like those.

I have mentioned these several times, they are fucking awesome and deserve to be recognized more:
