I would disagree with that one. Personally, I found Mercs 2 to be a rather bland game. Sure, I can blow up everything but all the controls just seem clunky, you fight waves of stupid enemies that all look the same and some of the voice acting is so appalling to be distracting. It's really just trying to capitalize on the whole "Lets blow stuff up" train and really fails. The buildings just fall down, they don't get destroyed. They sink into the ground faster than a fat guys teeth into an iced cupcake. It doesn't even have that sense of stupid fun that a game like, say, Earth De fence Force 2017 has, so it cant even be forgiven on that front. I really just didn't like it, or the first one for that matter.

okay honestly...I really liked the Star Wars prequels
I guess I'm a fan of all the films, and I don't really think the nostalgia/popular-view of the classics should automatically make the prequels bad

the tales of symphonia sequel.
oh yeah...my friend's roommate bought and as we played through we were like "...wth?"
as with his other Wii anime games (not saying all Wii anime games, just the ones that my friend owned lol), I was told to "not look too deeply into the story [and gameplay for that matter] considering the budget"

Any of the Madden/NFL games. They just dust off the graphics and change the name. No real innovation.
On the same note, most of the Final Fantasy games. Some of them are really good and it's obvious that real time went into them, a game shouldn't be released unless the developers actually try.
Not any of the current Halo games, but Halo needs to be done. Leave your poor franchise with whatever dignity it has left.
Sonic games ... ohh god Sonic games. No, bad Sonic, you are DONE.

However most disapointing game is Red Faction 2
You sir are a heretic and a liar. Red Faction 2 is shit tons of fun, and geo-mod will always be awesome.

My pick for games that shouldn't have sequels are the following:
- Final Fantasy 7 and onward
- Metal Gear games after the original Solid
- Anything after the original generation of Pokemon

I would've tossed in the Crash Bandicoot games if the first one hadn't sucked as well as all the sequels.

Deus Ex 2. It's not a horrible game, but I dont like how the story proceeded in it, I prefer the finality of the three endings of the original game, especially the Helios ending

Any games of the Sonic series after Sonic CD.
Sonic 3-D Blast and any other 3-D sonic games. Sonic Heroes? Sonic Riders? D= Come on now.. and even worse is the sequels of the sequels. Ugh.
I remember back in the day when you playing Sonic meant getting rings, defeating Robotnik and saving the little critters from those machines.. Those were the good ol' days. D=

Why are people hating the Halo sequels? As far as I can tell, the Halo series never had a sequel, just rehashes of the first game, but *Now with a new hat!*

Oh, and they're making Hitchcock 2. Explain to me why that is a good idea.

Any Metal Gear Solid from the second half of sons of liberty onward.
The introduction of Raiden to screw with people's pre-concieved notion that Snake would be the hero of the title was genius.
Raiden's character and history of how he came to be was very well thought out and planned.
People like you who whinge about the addition of Raiden really piss me off.
Not to mention, how petty are you to let the inclusion of a character who isn't David wreck the entire game series? The gameplay, story and concept of SoL the prequels and sequels that came after that game were also pure gold. Get over it!
Got to agree. Although I didn't actually like Raiden as a person, he was a great character, especially if you consider him as a sort of inverse to Snake.

Also, F.E.A.R didn't need a sequel, it needed a fucking ending.
Sort of agreed. I love the first FEAR, and agree that the story could have done with some closure, but I thought it ended on an acceptable note; this is a psychological horror game, after all, so having an ending that makes you feel anything other than uncertain is not doing it right. FEAR 2 was an awful game though, so I agree.

Perfect Dark Zero should never have been made and I kind of hate Rare because it was brought into this world.
Seriously, way to make a whole new generation hate a game simply because it's successor was utter crap.
I have a very odd relationship with PDZ, similar to my relationship with Resident Evil 5. I played it, I know it's crap, but I just can't stop.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Two Thrones. Ubisoft just had to make the games edgy and my experience with those two games are just not good. This is where I pretend they were never made.
Agreed, except that I liked Two Thrones, as I felt that it was a proper maturation of the series (give or take what they did to Farah), as opposed to the angst-ridden, expletive laden abortion that is WW, although I do subscribe to the theory that the series as a whole was meant to be one life (SoT the childhood, WW the adolescence, and TT the adulthood. Especially true when you consider that the big moral lesson of TT was to accept your mistakes).

Highlander 2. TERRIBLE movie. Gaming wise, probably Deus Ex 2. I was a huge fan of the first game, and the second one was so unbelievably crappy.
Ah, I remember seeing the trailer for Highlander 2 in theatres.

Trailer: "There can be only one!"
Audience Member: "There should've only been one!"

I really want to know how those DS Imagine games sell enough to have a thousand and one variations out. Really, who wants to play a game where you pretend to be a babysitter?
Is there an option on those to be a really bad babysitter?

OT: the only ones I can really think of that I didn't enjoy have been the Pokemon games after Gold and Silver. I just can't get into the third and fourth gen games and I think they've taken the amount of Pokemon way too far now.
