Okay, let's say this happens:
1. Crysan accuses Wary Wolf of being a traitor
2. Wary denies everything, but doesn't name a Lawyer. He get executed anyway.
3. This would indicate that Wary was probably innocent of the allegations. If he was in fact a potential traitor, the rational move would have been to betray the lawyer. Since he neither betrayed the Lawyer, nor gave us as fake Lawyer, this is as close to clearing his name as we can get. Which would make Crysan a clear next target.
Granted, this all rests on the idea that Wary does the smart, win-chance-maximizing thing of giving up the Lawyer if he's a potential traitor, or accusing no one if he's innocent.
