Pumpkin king fidgeted on his throne. It was as comfortable as always, made from the skulls of his enemies, but he could not shake the feeling something bad was going to happen. If only we had remembered that last stupid "hero", the Consortia of Evil could be ruling the world unopposed now.

Oh well, time for bed. Come along Mittens!

Next day's headline: "Pumpkin King Squashed In Sleep! Is Your Bed Safe?"

[HEADING=1]I was murdered and I was a mastermind. Enjoy the extra cash![/HEADING]

Seeing the headlines, Sperm heads off to the morgue to collect samples before the others turn PK into some sort of creamcheese atrocity.

Hrmmm interesting that Bad Pouch went this way this time... PK wasn't really a threat. I mean he was really only accepted into the league because we all knew this would eventually be the outcome and some of these evil folks have insatiable appetites...

I would guess he might have had a 0 vote count. Hero's best bet is to kill off everyone with low vote counts and let the higher ones live to die by execution.

I'm going to haunt you so bad!

@SR: I will say that my vote count was low but I thought it would be fine if enough people used their powers. I either severely underestimated the number of votes going out or it was a coin toss to pick me. Probably the latter... :)

@Hater: Well that's a beautiful declaration of war if ever I heard one. Harlan Ellison's hammy performance really brings that speech to life.

The dark elven patrol from Bregan D'aerthe crept through the halls of the Consortium of Evil intent, quiet as a silent gas expulsion from the anus and twice as deadly. Their mission; to investigate the actions of one Jojo von Sexy (Captain). Unbeknownst to them, the leader of their band, Jarlaxle had decided to come along to gather intelligence first hand. Hidden under the hood of a drow pwifi cloak, Jarlaxle scanned the area with an acute awareness.

The patrol leader (not Jarlaxle in this instance), motioned the dark elves to halt and ready their weapons, for through the next door stood the lair of one Captain Jojo von Sexy. Muffled music could be heard from the other side, and colorful lights could be seen throbbing from through the cracks in the doorway. Oiled blades were silently drawn from their sheaths, and hand crossbows quietly and efficiently cranked and loaded with deadly poison darts. Jarlaxle readied his magical throwing knives. Placing one in each hand, in case he needed to extend them for close quarters combat.

This might be an intelligence mission, but the dark elves were prepared to fight if needed. Besides, if the opportunity arose, the removal of one Jojo von Sexy might just land them a larger share of the loot, so long as the deed couldn't be traced back to Bregan D'aerthe...

The patrol leader made motions for one of the other patrol members to take point and enter the halls of The Sexy One. Calling on his innate powers, the drow soldier dropped a globe of darkness on the door and proceeded to open it.

Loud trance music assailed the sensitive ears to the drow patrol as the doors were opened. Clearly Captain von Jojo and his minions were having a party, perhaps to celebrate the recent demise of one Pumpkin King. Jarlaxle grinned widely, if they were partying, that would make infiltration all the easier. It seemed that no one was watching the door and no alarm had been raised. The patrol leader motioned the patrol to enter the Halls von Sexy and take point.

Jarlaxle slunk though the door and took stock of the halls he had entered. No one was watching the door as all of Jojo von Sexy's minions seemed to be dancing religiously around a central raised dais. On the dais, stood perfection. Sweat glistening off his muscular body, from hours, perhaps days of dancing, there danced Captain Jojo von Sexy, the only villain to convert more heroes to the side of evil than Jarlaxle.

Perfectly sculpted features caused a sigh from Jarlaxle, sexuality did not matter, this being needed to be worshipped forever in an orgy of dancing and sex. Similar sighs emitted from the rest of the patrol as they viewed their new God. The dark elven magical resistance unable to counter the sheer Sexy von Jojo powers they were being subjected to.

Suddenly Jarlaxle was aware of an extreme burning in his left eye, the one covered by his eyepatch today. Shaking himself out of Jojo's mass charming effect, Jarlaxle realized that he was in extreme danger. With nothing left to do, he dropped a globe of darkness over Captain Jojo von Sexy and ran for the exit.

Slamming the door behind him, Jarlaxle received quizzical looks from the rest of the patrol who had not yet entered the Halls of the Extreme Sexy. Jarlaxle removed his hood, haunted look on his face.

"We're done here. Leave the rest inside, they are lost, and perhaps in a better place than if they were to be captured by any other villain. No more intelligence gathering, this is becoming insane. Let the intelligence come to us... Move out..."

Which offers an interesting point in regards to intelligence. In that it is likely that whoever the killer was, they did not vote last turn... Ergo, if anyone who has a power, knows that a certain person voted... Perhaps they should PM someone? And not necessarily me. I think if we don't get a spy list, the onus is on us to make one. Albeit one that likely is erroneous (because the killer is likely to get in there at some point), but at least we have a starting point.

Possibly, or Bad Pouch could kill off the high count people so that now instead of needing 5 votes to die, you only need 3 (for example)

True but why would Bad Pouch care to distinguish right now? I see it as he has a line of people ahead of him and a line behind. Executions cut down the ones ahead and the ones behind are his job to kill. If the line behind catches up to him nothing bad happens. If the line in front does though...

Hmm. Problem is that kind of informs on them and maybe makes them targets for Bad Pouch. I think that may require more trust than a usual SK game and this one has even less trust to go around...

@Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come:

Bah, people need to get some guts.

True, however, if we can get enough 'targets' for the hero, then we eventually can whittle down who the hero likely is. I understand you in particular don't trust me. Cool. However, I was hinting that maybe there were others. Such as Demagogue, who I would actually like to get secondary intel on as to whether he was actually saved last round. Or perhaps Gritch. Did anyone vote for him last round? Can they confirm that my intelligence was right, and he is a corruptor?

If a person can be proven to be a role, or is saved by a master mind, they are probably ruled out as the killer and may be willing to put themselves out there. As long as any intel given to them (or me... please? Jarlaxle is the master of intelligence!) is passed onto the rest of us anonymously.

Additionally, one problem with the whole concept above on the whole, who voted last round, is also whether or not the killer did use his power. He may just be getting rid of people arbitrarily at this point and saving his power for later.

I wasn't even referring to a lack of trust for you, I mean trust in general between players.

Good point on why the hero wouldn't need to use his power. Voting I'd likely more useful. He can trust in the power of his vote!

I expect a very large number of people chose to be infiltrators and as such, little actual intelligence can be gathered or put to use. Infiltrators, try and put negative votes on Sad Crotch. That way Armadox can laugh at you harder.
