DING DONG!
The doorbell rang. Zero rose from his chair. Murderville isn't exactly the most hospitable of places, so a visitor put him on edge. While walking towards the door, he grabbed the ever-so-handy "Just-in-Case" shotgun. He arrived at the door and attempted to gain a glimpse of who was outside. He was only greeted by the lonely dark street, illuminated by the singe streetlight.
"Wait a minute, it's noon and it's still dark outside? What the fu-"
Before he could finish, there was a crash of shattering glass behind him. Zero rushed to the other end of the small home.
"Wh-who's there!?" he shouted. A shard of glass pierced through his shoe.
"Aughaghaghagow!"
DING DONG!
"OH COME ON!"
Zero stayed by the window this time, hoping to catch whomever it was off guard. That is, he would have had the front door not exploded behind him. A figure shrouded by the smoke smiled.
"Oh hey, make yourself comfortable..." Zero quipped, raising the shotgun to aim.
The killer began walking towards him.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHA DODGE THIS!" Zero shouted as he pulled the trigger.
KRAKOOM!
The dust in the house settled, but there was no body. Zero nervously pumped his shotgun.
The sound of glass crunched behind him, he whipped around, stumbling over his bloodied foot.
WHUMP!
He fell to the ground.
"This isn't good." Zero said under his breath, as he looked up. He met eyes with the one who had caused all of this.
"Hey wait, don't I know you from somewhere?"
The killer grinned, drawing a knife from the belt.
SHUNK!
SHUNK!
SHUNK!
SHUNK!
Zero's bloodified body lay on the ground of his house.
The killer noticed the doorbell light was still on and gave it a press on the way out.
DING DONG!
