So dear medic, please protect me so I can die later and save the spy. Not sure who saw my earlier message so figured this is the sa fest way to survive to revive the spy... so as long as we don't murder the medic the spy will be sure to rise again until the medic dies

Figure this is probably better really so long as the medic lives. I have a short shelf life anyways if I plan to revive the spy and this seems the surest way to make it
I took message to mean private message, and you brought it out public when you said this. Furthermore, I didn't actually see you call yourself out with your original post, so I thought you was trying to pull a trick. You obviously was not, and I am sorry if my words may have hindered you, but you was acting suspicious in a way I hadn't seen before, so I called you on it.

Kinda regret it now.

I didn't even vote for you. crimson5pheonix was the one that was outing you, then Gritch made a very convincing arguement so I voted for FPLOON. Again, if I was the killer, you know full well I couldn't have helped myself in offing Frappe first after he threw down that robocop/terminator rap battle. I am only one man, and the amusement would have been to much for me.

I'm innocent, and I thought I was shining a light on someone who was being terribly suspicious as what priest in their right mind would have made themselves a public target? *sighs* If I gotta go, I gotta go I suppose.

I'm also keeping my eyes on Armadox who told everyone who the priest was and Crimson5Pheonix for further accusing Secondhand Revenant. In this instance if he is the lawyer or otherwise siding with the killer outing the priest and accusing him seems like a smart thing to do for a bad guy. If we can't find out anything interesting of who people claim to have voted for, I am voting for Armadox.

edit: also important, I'll be less active the coming days (at least until sunday) because of examinations, birthdays, that kind of thing.
I didn't tell everyone who the priest was. The priest told everyone who the priest was. I just pointed it out (badly mind you, apparently I thought he said something he didn't which just added to it without me even knowing I'd done it. Gah). Also, really, you're going to oust me when I'm just trying to help, then say you're going to vanish for a while? What kind of off handed jab is that? I can defend my actions, but you don't seem to be putting yourself at risk as much as you can..

I'm.. leery of you now.

Fair enough, that is a good reason for why you'd think I meant private message. At least, it explains where the mistake may have come from.

Though I am leery of the Frappe defense there. Too easy to make a situation like that specifically to use as a defense.

You haven't been here long. Trust me, this is a long running joke, and watching Frappe get offed after his beef would have been exquisite. If I was the killer.. Sadly the best I can do is draw pictures at him..

So it is confirmed ... the Trickster wanted the Priest to die. This is why I trust no one in the SK Game.
People would rather see good people crash and burn, despite they can have the choice of taking out the Killer instead.

Like ... if I ever become GM, I may just remove the "citizens can ally themselves with the Killer" but allow the Arbiter / Trickster to still switch sides because they are in the gray area. But that's just me, not sure how to feel about our Trickster causing our Priest to die. Plus both our two most important people are dead during the first stage ... .. . jesus christ man.
In most cases, in the Mafia games I'm used to playing, going against your alignment is a pretty serious offense, though a role like the Trickster would be neutral and only in it for themselves. Basically, there was the town, the mafia, and neutrals, and you weren't allowed to throw the game for yourself, and by extension, your team if you were on one, by playing against your goal.

The games I'm used to playing also had public lynchings that required a majority vote, so basically, people openly declared who they wanted to lynch, and if there were 19 players, one person would have to receive 10 votes before a lynching occurred. Which meant the majority had to come to a consensus and people were far more compelled to make convincing arguments and the mafia had to be careful about how they voted not to draw suspicion upon themselves.

I'm really not sure how I feel about blind voting and whoever gets the most votes loses, it seems to take away a lot of information available to the town. Though I suppose with there only being one or two people that need to be killed, doing it that way is a little more understandable.

But, more on point to this game, I'm highly suspicious of crimson after this post [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.877540-Serial-Killer-Round-68-Cylon-Invasion-Cycle-2-Roles-May-Act?page=7#22102585]. By then, most reasonable people were convinced Revenant was telling the truth, and he comes out saying how suspicious he thinks he is and talking about a fake medic trying to get people to reveal their roles? I was honestly at a loss to explain any of that.
I kept saying medic instead of priest. What was bad was people acting on my suspicion that round, so paranoid >.>

I have the same experience with public voting playing Werewolf. It's interesting to see who points the first finger and how quickly people shift from target to target based on public opinion. But if the serial killer is usually being caught (which someone who has played more can chime in on) then we may not need it since I think it shifts power to the good guys.

I feel like my death will be fueling many an accusation. Which would be terrible and hilarious if the killer didn't speak up about it.

Edit: And both him and gritch at the very least called me a medic. Easy mistake there at least but the accusation is still odd.

Sorry. Must have missed that bit of information in between the torrent of innuendos between you and FPLOON. =P

I'm with c5p on this one... We were really straight forward on what we were talking about... Calling our conversation "[a] torrent of innuendos" is greatly underplaying it, gritch...

Also...

@Revenant: I think gritch is the Trickster, since he was trying to get people to vote for me so he was able to use his ability to add two votes to you.
I'd also like to point out some of accusations actually came before roles were even assigned as well. I thought the robot racist angle was funny enough so I stuck with it. I very strongly posted my wanting to avoid executing Revenant. That would seem a bit counter productive if my eventual goal was to have him executed.

But honestly this round you do seem suspicious. I've found your lack of comments very odd. Normally if someone wants to do something stupid like execute someone whose claimed to be the Priest before I can even finish typing my rebuttal you're on the case. You're not doing that is round which I find odd and in general your volume of posts seems to have shrunk since the role assignments were made. You're the same guy who last round [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.877292-Serial-Killer-Round-67-Mutineering-Massacre-Cycle-1-Voting-Phase?page=2#22088355] followed the game so closely as to make note when people were logging on between announcements. Maybe you're busier in RL or maybe the odd banter between crimson and FPLOON is drowning it all out.

It's not hard evidence barely even enough for even a suspicion but I figured if we want to post some theories I'd lay mine out there as well.
*gets enraged* Don't you dare drag what me and c5p were doing to think that that could be an actual reason for Aerosteam doing the one thing you thought he was going to do and hasn't done much of it so far in this particular round... That a half-hearted excuse and both you and Aerosteam know it! *calms down* *straightens dress* Now, if you'll excuse me... I need to get me some beauty sleep...

@Caramel Frappe: I am insanely jealous of you right now. The rest of the year, I live in Japan and am perfectly content, but right now, you're at the Anime Expo, there's a Muv-Luv booth there, and I can't go.

@FPLOON to be fair, at this point it's as good as any. Not like the trickster would know who the spy is, and we have literally nothing to go on.

@Scars: It actually wouldn't be that bad if the Medic dies, considering he/she doesn't have the Spy or Medic to save anymore.

Since essentially everyone is a suspect, I'm in favour of the Arbiter using the ability ASAP - you really can't go wrong.

If that happens, I demand the banner be changed from Battlestar Galactica to Red Dwarf.

Surely the Medic would still be useful in some way though? Even if it's just randomly saving someone from the killer?

I think what he means is, once you make saving people random, it's to hard to actually pick people that would get targeted by the killer. The medic just watched all the key roles fall away, and now he's herding cats.

@Shazy: Well, if someone is saved by the Medic then they get messaged that they were almost killed, however given how everyone is cautious about PMs nowadays I'm not sure how that'll help.

Currently the Medic should protect the Arbiter, but if the Arbiter used his/her ability now we wouldn't have to worry about whoever has the role getting executed/murdered.

I can accept that explanation. It makes sense and I've got no evidence to really prove anything one way or the other.

@crimson-FPLOON: Yeah probably underplaying it. I didn't know exactly how to phrase it. Perhaps it'd be better described as you two "ravenously going at each other over text in a public forum"?

Maybe not the best excuse agreed but it wasn't the greatest theory to begin with and I admit that. Still if you look at round 66, by the same post count there had already been a false list given, a (correct) Lawyer accusation, several rebuttals, an invitation to the dark side, and two murders. We've got almost nothing game related to discuss this round by comparison. The post volume this round seems higher than usual[footnote]Which I think is fine and rather hilarious although a tad bewildering. [sub]I think I got a few people who will vote for me now...[/sub][/footnote] and several people have mentioned difficulty in reading through several pages of posts. Probably wasn't worth it to bring up in my explanation but there it is.

This is probably going to be a long game...
