Could be them if the other party made the account but seems less likely and all. They aren't in the chat and their post histories seem to suggest they stay out of the areas where things were going down

I still kind of suspect EvilRoy since I know I've seen him in other parts of the forums so he could have known from that... I kind of want to be sure before I move on from him because reasons did add up. On the other hand out of that list I most suspect crimson5pheonix. Been pretty quiet this game and he never reveals who he's after.

Of course I don't reveal who I'm after, I never do until I'm dead. As to announcing in mod chat, I think more than a few people were aware of the chronic ban jumper(s).

Yeah but they specified talk. Most of the talk was in the mod chat. And some people seem to always lurk forum games or otherwise avoid the contentious topics the banjumper was in.

Also you logged in pretty quick to reply to this. When I looked at profiles to see who was in the mod chat group it told me you hadn't logged on for several hours. Then you appeared to reply to this it seems. Could be a coincidence but it is fairly late to log in. Which isn't odd in and of itself but rather the speed of the reply is when you weren't logged in too much earlier.

Oh definitely, the people who don't leave forum games may not know. But the banjumper(s) were on several parts of the site and the fact they were banjumpers was noted by several regulars who didn't normally post where the banjumpers did.

I suppose the timing is poor on my part, I just got home.

I don't often frequent news and featured content but when I do go on a spree I usually don't look beyond the main stuff so idk if he was there. I saw at least one person who only seemed to go there aside from forum games.

Well it could be coincidence but I'll admit I was already kind of suspicious of you generally seeming quiet and unobtrusive most of the time. It's just a bit hard to believe. Also your profile clearly states Texas where it's 2 AM. So you could have just got home at 2 AM but it looks a bit fishy...

Probably both working together. I think the lawyer may be largely striking out judging by the lack of roles getting killed off and the killer is probably showing up in the ties, which is unnerving him/her as that means s/he is up on the chopping block roulette too much.

Probably both working together. I think the lawyer may be largely striking out judging by the lack of roles getting killed off and the killer is probably showing up in the ties, which is unnerving him/her as that means s/he is up on the chopping block roulette too much.

That is a fair point. Also why, while I'm suspicious of you I still wanna cut open EvilRoy and see if there are any surprise killer/lawyer roles in the center.

After all, it's kind of a step up in the Killer trying to win without cheating so i'm game... unless the 2nd account can vote. Then that's a big no go.

But no. While this may not be "fair", it's only a step removed from using someone else's account. Getting an extra vote would be cheating.

The whole "bribe" thing might be crossing the line though. We'll cross that bridge when snekadid gets back to me. It'd be a shame for said bribe to be RP only.

I was trying to see how recently he had logged in by seeing if his pic turned green on my friends list. Also convenient way to save his profile so I could try to check when he'd last logged in when I got up in the morning. Sadly since he added me back it means he logged back on at some point.

Honestly I'm a little upset. I WAS going to make an alt account to recruit people when I was the Killer. Now you guys will be on guard about that. Was going to call him MochaFrappe...

Anyway for any of you mathematically inclined I got bored last night and wrote up some statistics for the reduction of the suspect list with and without the Doppelganger here [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kVdFElpMQovlMhXQC5unGUr2ZfD-mZB1p6hWeRCvKQk/edit?usp=sharing]. If you don't like math you might want to stay away.

Most of it should be explained by the spreadsheet itself but I'd also like to point out a few things. Statistics are great but I've played enough games like this to know when they don't work well. Remember each game there's only at most 3 data points and who the Killer/Lawyer is not entirely random. Intelligent questions are likely to get better results in a single game than blindly following the statistics. There WILL be times especially with such a small sample size where a Spy will end up in the bottom section of the statistics, sitting there after 3 questions without having reduced the list at all. Closer to the 50/50 split the odds of getting no information is greater. While it may statistically be the best option, in game simply not getting a question answered early on could be really detrimental to victory.

That said statistically it's still better to always try to divide the list 50/50. Over the course of 3 questions a 50/50 split leads to a reduction of total suspects by 58% on average, a 75/25 split leads to a reduction of 47%, and a 90/10 split leads to a reduction of 45%.

So I don't think it's Caramel Frappe. Knowing him, he'd give the alt account an avatar. I also don't think it's Secondhand Revenant. No one is that stupid to befriend themselves with an alt account. Either way, I think we have a suspect list.

The mystery poster also knows the situation with ban jumpers, which would only be known if you follow the mod group chat or regularly visit the GID forum.
