Megas XLR. It only had 2 seasons and it is so upsetting since it was such a great show.

I think the answer is obvious here:

Both seasons of which can be downloaded from the XBL Marketplace.

OT: Courage the Cowardly Dog was rumored to be cancelled due to its final aired episode [http://courage.wikia.com/wiki/Perfect] being "too disturbing" for children.

That was a sad day.

No mention of Farscape? *hangs head in disappointment*

Could have gone on way longer than 4 seasons, fucking brilliant sci-fi show. I didn't mind the movie end, but god damn I wish they could have kept going.

Scorpius was one of to best antagonists I've ever had the fun of witnessing.
I agree about its awesomeness, and scorpius were written as a 2 episode bad guy, but he were that good that they made him the big bad guy.
That said, i think 4 seasons were good enough, some series should end while they still are good like fawlty towers, Father Ted, and Vicar of Dibley. ( now that i think about it BBC is very good at quitting shows while they are still good, US not so much - unless its a US scifi show, if that is the case they have NO problem snuffing it out after 6 episodes...)

Police Squad and Farscape. but at least Police squad got a movie trilogy, but it needed more than just six awesome episodes.

Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

I really loved this show, unfortunately the people at Marvel (particularly Jeph Loeb), didn't like where the creators (Christopher Yost and Joshua Fine) were taking the show. Particularly it was felt that the show was becoming to serialised with to much back story, making it harder for people to jump in. It was also decided that the show was drifting to far away from the main three Avengers (Iron Man, Captain America and Thor), and that too much focus was on "minor" characters (ie. all the other Avengers). So half way through the second season a bunch of new writers were brought on and the rest of the season was primarily episodic episodes about Cap, Iron Man and Thor. Interesting plots about Hank Pym, Sutor and Vision were completely dropped in favour of more screen time to the big three.

But that's not all. They delayed the second seasons airing for nearly 6 months so that they could have it show back to back with their new Ultimate Spider-man cartoon, so they could attract viewers to that. Expect that show is extremely disliked. So then EMH had to go on hiatus, the reason given was so they could get an accurate picture of Spider-man's ratings.
(Luckily for me, it continued to air here in Australia. If you've watched any of last 15 or so episodes online, it probably came from our broadcast)

Even after all that it was still cancelled. The decision to cancel it, in favour of a new series more in line with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was made before the changes to Season 2 were even finalised.

Wow, that turned out to be a bit of a rant. It just really pisses me of that such a promising show got cut short, with a very sloppy and rushed conclusion. Although I guess 52 episodes is quite respectable when it comes to cartoons now a days. However if the new show is terrible I cannot be held responsible for my actions.

Alcatraz, it may not have been the best show, but I really liked where it was going. And for it to be cancelled after one season, with almost no plot questions answered, really busted my chops.

Quite a few as far as i'm concerned
but one has sprung to mind recently, while I can't really stand him in general I did like Spiderman Unlimited for some reason, shame it only got 13 episodes or so.

As for others...some of these have already been mentioned but they can be mentioned again.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Spaced, Reaper, Firefly, Farscape...if i could be bothered to plug in my external drive I'd probably come up with a few more, but right now eh, those'll do.

Are video games allowed? In that case I say Xenosaga. They were supposed to have made 6 games, but in the end lackluster sales made it only 3, and I loved them all. Especially the third game was great!

As for tv-series..... Hmm can't really think of any. Usually I think it is the other way around, with some of my favourite shows going far longer then I would have wished them to (Scrubs, How I met your Mother etc) or is still going strong and still manages to keep the quality up (Dexter etc.)

I only started watching it yesterday, only finished episode 4, and I can tell already that it's something special.

Fuck you FOX.

Fuck you.

The Unusuals. Look it up.

In short, it's a cop/detective show about the 2nd Precinct in New York City where everyone has a quirk and they deal with strange cases. One guy is paranoid about death because all the men in his family died from something at the age of 40. So he goes around wearing a bullet proof vest, uses anti bacterial soap and pads the corners of his desk.

SWAT Kats and Sonic SatAM. SWAT Kats had more ratings than Power Rangers and still got shut down. Sonic SatAM had lower ratings and the President or BBC or whoever didn't like it, which left the show on the season 2 cliffhanger that'll never ever be resolved.
