For many of us, Sex Education in schools was the first time we got to know what exactly goes on in the bedroom. What are your experiences of those fathful science lessons?.
As I was a year 7 when we learnt about it, the videos, the leaflets and the people who came in th talk to us was pretty weird to begin with but we got desencitized after about two weeks of it.
And you know what I have noticed? It seems when the govenment tells sombody to make a sex education Leflet/Video, they go completely apeshit with it.
'oooh, we have been given permisson to put a young mans penis in our leaflets. Lets put one of every bloody page' Im all for not making us feel uncofortable about it but do they have to use it so much?

um... we watched some videos of a girl giving birth then put a condom on a thingy...
we also watched a video of a person ejaculating (BONUS)
the rest is a blur of boredom...

I felt it was quite pointless. I knew 95% of what they were teaching us. Only new things were details like the number of sperm cells and such, learning about reproduction in bio was much more effective than those special Sex Ed lessons.

I got the impression they were sort of overdoing it. The first time was in fifth grade, where we just learned the basic mechanics of stuff, and how our junk looked.

Then we went through how to use contraceptives, several times(We learned it several times, that is. We didn't learn how to do it repeatedly.), during lower secondary school. I actually got rather bored with it.

Edit: Oooh: And googling 'genital warts' in class. Boy, was that a fun experience.

No sex education whatsoever, I gues they know that everyone knows how it works since they are 6 and when its comes to "unprotected sex may ruin your life" then you better have good parents because they dont care.

We saw pictures of std's and birth (cannot be unseen).

And the kids would ask the most stupidest questions

"what does sperm taste like?"
"If I bend my penis like this, would it break?"

We never saw ejaculation or putting on condoms.
What is the point of seeing a guy ejaculate anyway?

Well there was something in year 6 which I can't for the life of me remember.
Then in year 10 or 11 there was something on safe sex which I would very much like to wipe from my brain. Old, female, scary religious studies teacher showing us how to put a condom on a carrot after informing us that she'd kept the carrot in the fridge to keep it stiff.

I got some, but then the girl next to me fainted and that was that.

It was mostly boring stuff, what happens when aroused, STDs and so on.

The first proper Sex Ed I ever got was in the bedroom.

I think my Biology classes taught me more than the Sex Ed did!

My schools sex ed. program was pretty good. People asked the obviously stupid questions and there was plenty of giggling and videos filmed before our conception. Seemed to work though, combined with the towns affluence we didn't have any pregnancies through middle and high school, in a school of about 1200.

We covered all sorts of things: the biology of the bits and pieces, STDs and pregnancy, developing fetuses, testicular/breast cancer self screening, and more. Sex Ed. was taught in grades 6, 8 and 9. The sex ed. system was actually really good and totally not preachy, though it was disturbing hearing the teacher say that "masturbation is perfectly normal and healthy" somewhat encouragingly.

Well in primary school the girls got it a year before the boys. This made me curious so I asked my dad about it and he found this website which told me about it. Then the next year the primary school showed me a disney video.

Then in secondary school we got the whole condom pizzaz.

We had sex ed in 8th grade. They called in a psychiatrist and before she entered the room the head teacher told us we could choose not to attend. So the psychiatrist enters the room, sits on a chair and starts talking about abstinence. I was out of there faster than you could say television.

The most 'hardcore' stuff we watched was in year 4 (8-years-old), where we watched a woman giving birth with a head-on view, so to speak.

You pick up most stuff as you get older anyway, but some people really are stupid; stuff like not needing a condom if you have sex standing up came up a few times.

It does still provide entertainment even though I've left high school though; seeing the reaction of Daily Mail readers when they learn that "sex" (more like relationships) education is going to be taught in the first few years of primary school is priceless.

School-wise, I only encountered it when I was 15 or so in Biology class. The teacher emphatically stated that having sex sans condom will give you a venereal disease.
The rest was all sciencey.

I took it from grade 4-9. Wasn't really all that good, and it ended up repeating pretty much every year.

We had all pretty much got the basics by then. I went to a pretty small primary school so the headmaster taught us. All we did was take the piss. Both him and us. great crack I must say.

It was the same thing every year. The same stuff that my friend's cousin told me when I was 7. Very boring after the first time.
