Which is exactly what's behind all this 'sex is about love and marriage' talk: in the end, it all boils down to someone imposing their morals on someone else, it's just hidden behind layers of excuses.

i never imposed my religion or morals on anyone. when this forum first came out i simply put down that pre-marital sex is a sin.

Because when someone calls something a sin, usually that has to do with religion and morals.

If someone says "I think sex before marriage will bring unhappiness", I would logically argue that it could also bring happiness. And vice-versa depending on people's opinions.
Therefore, if you say "I am right because the Bible says so", I'll argue that the Bible isn't right and will give you pretty solid evidence showing how it isn't. That doesn't make me a troll - it's the logical progression of the topic at hand.
If someone gives their view, they won't admit to knowing the right answer. Yet when you are challenged, all you come back with is "Shut the ***** up, I'm right because my unproven beliefs tell me I am".

Ok, we all need to calm down here!!! Hippykiller i know you are just 'defending' your religion, but you shouldn't be just effectively condemning these people to hell. For all you know these people are all Christians as well, and in which case they will be forgiven for their sins because ultimately they believe in Jesus Christ. It is quite clear that you have gotten agitated at many of these peoples responses but take the higher ground, don't lash out at people. That goes for everyone else here as well! lol. We all believe different things and we should respect that, especially on a unstable topic such as sex; this is a very serious and personal topic to some, whilst not to others.

Personally, i think that sex is a beautiful thing (that sounds kinda gay, but i hope you get the gist of what i mean ), that it doesn't matter when you perform it, whether its a drunken night out or with a loved one, it is a beautiful thing.

Sex is what you make of it. If you want to do it, then do it. If you don't then obviously don't. If you want to condemn people for making their own choices, their own conscious choice, then perhaps you should think twice, wigging out because you're trapped by a set of several thousand year old rules. And if there is in fact an all powerful creator, judging us for our actions, I'm pretty sure that they can handle the condemnation without you.

I grew up in the church and had shite like that forced down my throat. Its only a sin if you look at it that way. I don't need sex for love, I love one guy, but we aren't going to get married and we have sex constantly. You can't tell someone if they have or haven't truly been in love based on your own religious views. Everyone feels love a different way. I'm a cynical ***** and I found love and as far as he and I, I'm not a cynical *****, I'm just a *****. He makes me believe in better things but that's between he and I and whats going on in my own life. Irregardless to the point. For some people, sex = love and they can't have it any other way, so in their own way they have truly been in love.

so you truly love this man you are with? and you do not plan on marrying him? or have kids? than what happens if by some accident that you find your self pregnant and he leaves and dose not take care of the baby with you? that's when you look back and say to your self "I really should have thought about how i felt about this guy before i did the horizontal monster mash with him"

Yes I do love him. If we get me pregnant, he will take care of it. I'll get his family involved if I have to. I'd love to marry him, however looking at how much we fight, its not possible. Realistically, it wouldn't work and I don't set my hopes up hoping for it to happen. I am just happy to have him in my life and to call him my best friend. We tell each other everything. I already know that he won't run out on me if I get pregnant. I know his moral standings. He was raised in a different church than I and still *mostly* follows his religion to this day. Plus his dad is the bishop of one of the churches in his religion and his dad, much as he doesn't like me would make him take proper responsibility. For the record, he does love me back.

and for the record, i was raised roman catholic/christian (half and half) and now am mormon so to an extent i do believe in religion just not all aspects of it. I don't believe that having pre marital sex will condemn me to hell. Of course then again I don't believe in hell either.....
