Ah Fox News, the Daily Mail's big American brother. Either those scientists are being brutally misquoted or everything in that article is downright made up. It's worth remembering that biologically you're ready for sex aged 9-13 too so from a biological point of view a tiny percentage of people have sex even within a few years of being ready.

I think it's kind of sad that even IF Fox News said something that was even partially factual, no one would believe them.

If FOX had any foresight they'd see that their efforts to scare teens into abstinence are actually counterproductive to their real goals. Think about it: fewer teens having sex means less unexpected pregnancies, less unexpected pregnancies means less single teen mothers, less single teen mothers means less destitute children who can't afford an education and less people who can't afford an education means less recruits for the armed services. It also means there will be less criminals on the streets for people to be afraid of and buy guns to 'protect' themselves from. And less uneducated people also means fewer viewers of Fox News! In the end they're only hurting themselves.

So it's the reverse of sexually active teenage girls.

Apart from that, I fail to see how analogous hamsters are to humans. I understand that their organs and physiology may have a semblance to human traits, but apart from being a university test, why not have a more valid subject? Say, monkeys, pigs, or even HUMANS? I know the human suggestion is a tad vile, but with Ohio and it's neighboring states having over 34 million people, at least a few sets of parents would be willing to let their kids get lucky, disturbing thought though it may be...

I don't understand what the problem is with repeating this test on humans.

You gather a test group of 1000 male subjects, assure them of their anonymity, ask what age they started having sex, then measure their dicks, take note of any psychological abnormalities, and send them on their way. Boom.
