Ah Fox News, the Daily Mail's big American brother. Either those scientists are being brutally misquoted or everything in that article is downright made up. It's worth remembering that biologically you're ready for sex aged 9-13 too so from a biological point of view a tiny percentage of people have sex even within a few years of being ready.

I think it's kind of sad that even IF Fox News said something that was even partially factual, no one would believe them.
True but I don't think we need to worry about that in our lifetime. Maybe by the time we're all in our eighties they'll decide it's time to stop making shit up but til then I think we're good :)

If FOX had any foresight they'd see that their efforts to scare teens into abstinence are actually counterproductive to their real goals. Think about it: fewer teens having sex means less unexpected pregnancies, less unexpected pregnancies means less single teen mothers, less single teen mothers means less destitute children who can't afford an education and less people who can't afford an education means less recruits for the armed services. It also means there will be less criminals on the streets for people to be afraid of and buy guns to 'protect' themselves from. And less uneducated people also means fewer viewers of Fox News! In the end they're only hurting themselves.

So it's the reverse of sexually active teenage girls.

Get it?

The vagina allegedly widens.

That is the joke I was trying to make.
That joke must be a sexually active teenage girl then,
'Cause that was quite a stretch.

What i do wonder, if we assume this study has any relevance, what about masturbation? Is it the process of sexual pleasuring or the act of having sex itself? (this would be useful to know to understand which factors would play a role in this "phenomenon", if it's true, which seems unlikely)
yup this also by "this would be useful to know to understand which factors would play a role in this "phenomenon", if it's true, which seems unlikely"
he means should i be worried XD am i right? :p

Honestly, I don't understand what a lot of guys find so great about being sexually active
A) sex is awesome!
B) More sex is even more awesome!
C) On a more serious note: By basic instinct we are driven to have as much sex as possible with the best females. Evolution baby... The best male gets to spread his DNA around. Which is all we really want. Plus... sex is awesome! (that last bit was not so serious I know :) Can't help myself)

Seeing as I'm not getting any at the moment, I should jolly well hope it does happen to them!

Oh, Fox News, you crazy bastard child of reputable journalism... In most cases, it'd probably be a nice touch to include a link to the university's research results...

Apart from that, I fail to see how analogous hamsters are to humans. I understand that their organs and physiology may have a semblance to human traits, but apart from being a university test, why not have a more valid subject? Say, monkeys, pigs, or even HUMANS? I know the human suggestion is a tad vile, but with Ohio and it's neighboring states having over 34 million people, at least a few sets of parents would be willing to let their kids get lucky, disturbing thought though it may be...

I don't see anything that has conclusive proof. Top that with the fact that the article was from a well known bullshitter-of-current-events and my belief falls even lower.

I think this is about as factual as "masturbation makes you go blind".
Yeah, all I could think of while reading the article was "Someone's got an agenda..."

Don't trust the news, especially Fox News. Seems to be a load of crap, and seeing as it is Fox, shall most likely be a load of crap

I don't understand what the problem is with repeating this test on humans.

You gather a test group of 1000 male subjects, assure them of their anonymity, ask what age they started having sex, then measure their dicks, take note of any psychological abnormalities, and send them on their way. Boom.

Also, someone else already said it, but I'm to lazy to find the post and quote it,

"I believe this falls under the 'doesn't matter; had sex' rule, or dm;hs."

Honestly, if you are getting it often enough for this to come into play, then being small clearly isn't slowing you down.
I LOL'd at this, pretty much what he said

Oh please, that myth's been kicking around for ages.

This is being reported by Fox News: a group whose (sexual) conservatism is right up there (back there, more like) with the guys in the 1800s, who are responsible for most American guys getting their turtlenecks lopped off for no good reason.

[sub]Hint: it was because they thought it'd get you to stop jerking it.[/sub]

Seems bullshit.

The expert are very careful with their words, as opposed to the reporters interpretation.

Besides, it's Fox News :p

the question is, are we going to trust Fox News? (Some) people believe that masturbating also causes blindness. They are clearly wrong though, since we can all still see.

No, this is Fox News pandering to the deep conservative ignorant Christian parents. (Don't believe that I am hating on Christians, I am one myself) I the only thing "Fox" that I listen to is there excellent TV shows (see the Simpsons) and movies (see X-Men).

Happy "fun times" fellow escapists...eewww (never saying that again)
