Yamada went straight from class too the archery room, not taking any detours, needing to see Seiya. even though he had, he still felt unsettled, still worried that she was somehow going to disappear on them. He wouldn't be able to stand mentally losing her a third time in two days.

Takuya punched the wall, and felt is shake. "Oh Seiya...when I find you..." He heard his friend grumble angrily in his ear. "If not now then we will find her later!"

He crossed his arms, angry. He had things to do...decaying monsters to locate...But he wanted to know more about Seiya's disappearance. His companion grumbled again. It would seem meeting one another was now top priority. He let Seiya go for now, and continued on his way. He needed to go back to the dorms for now.

Kojiro answered his phone as he followed Fridmund. "Hello, Rin, I'm with Frimun right now, I guess we're meeting up - Hey, where are we meeting so I can tell Rin."

Hikaru shuddered when the wall she was hiding behind suffered a blow; she hurried out to the archery team's room; it was long and narrow, and a metal door occupied the far wall. It rolled up to expose the field behind the school. The targets were stored inside, as practice was not in session.

She arrived moments before Yukimura and Kumiko, and turned when she heard them approaching.

"Ah, Seiya-senpai." Kumiko looked around, it was just the three of them. "No one else yet?" Maybe no one else shared their sense of urgency.

 

[PresqueVu]

Yamada took in a breath when he saw them there, so relieved to see Seiya right now. "You must have had a difficult day... How are you?"

 

[Cinnonym]

"O-Only you two of you so far." Hikaru ushered them inside, glancing down the hallways to be sure no one was watching, "And... I'll be fine, thank you. It's just that... Well, it's a very complicated thing to explain. Fortunately, I was with my parents when the report came on TV, so..." She trailed off, waiting.

Koiro tells Rin where to meet Fridmund and himself.

"I'll try calling Isoroku..hopefully he will answer soon."

Rin thanks Kojiro before hanging up. She leaves the girls dorm completely and heads out to meet up with them.

Isoroku answered his phone...but the following conversation went through his head as though it were a distraction.

After he'd tried to see Kojiro earlier and was met with little more than a door, and after his call to Eber was met with little more than a virtual door, he had spent the rest of the day piddling about his room amusing himself. He took a nap. Wandered around the internet. Even scrounged up some lunch at one point. When he'd run out of things to do, he started cleaning his guns and was in the middle of doing that when he'd gotten Kojiro's call.

"I'll be there."

He stared down the barrel of the pistol he'd pulled from the back of Kurado's car, then hung up. The last time he left the dorm without a weapon he wound up sorely regretting it; he wasn't about to make that mistake again. And though few of them pertained to Seiya herself, he did have a few questions he wouldn't mind having answered...so, after a few moments of thought, he shrugged and put the one clean (loaded) pistol into the back of his pants and headed off to the archery room. (disregarding any potentially door knocking Germans along the way)

Eber presumably met Rin with Kojiro on the way to the same destination.

Kojiro hangs up his phone, "Isoroku is on the way." He waves to Rin as she catches up with them. "Hey...sorry I skipped class...I just wasn't feeling up to it."

He chuckles, "I won't pester you for your notes this time, I promise."

Eber wasn't entirely sure if they were flirting or not... He walked ahead of the two and joined Yukimura, Kumiko and the girl of the hour in the archery room.

When at last Isoroku filed in as well, Hikaru slid the door shut and stood in front of it. She did her best to remain calm, confident and coherent.

"I know there's a lot to be explained... I'm not really sure where I should start..."

"You can start with what the fuck happened last night"

Isoroku thought he'd try being subtle.

Kumiko tore her eyes away from Yoshida. "Okay, as colorful as it was, I kinda want to know what happened like night too. And when I say kinda I mean, I need to know. But my real question is if that was 'you' burnt to a crisp out there, how are you standing here? Glad you are, but...that other body."

Kojiro shook his head, "Let's be a bit more specific, Seiya-senpai. Why did the police identify the body as you when you were possessed in the tunnels?"

Hikaru was much more open to Kojiro's manner of question.

"Ah--We have several aides in terms of battling Shadows, Kurado and I. Technically, that body was identified as myself because it is... myself." She shook her head, "Th-That is to say, it's a doppelganger. A homunculus, if you will. Many Shadows in the tunnels know powerful magic that attacks the life essence. A human can't withstand that kind of blow, regardless of skill, so... Our homunculi apparatus senses this magic and projects an instant clone. It vanishes after time."

She looked somewhat nervous as she confessed, "Our sponsors spent an awful lot of money to silence the morticians..."

She glanced at Isoroku, "You felt the affects of this sort of magic last night, too, according to Kurado. I'm sorry... He's the one that brought you back to the dorms."

Kojiro nodded slowly as she explained herself, and then he had one of those moments. "So you guys have sponsors how does that-wait wait wait, back the FUCK UP! You make CLONES!? To avoid Shadow attacks....HOLY FUCKING SHIT."

He just shakes his head in amazement, muttering 'Fucking Wow, What the Hell?' over and over again.

"A homunculus?" Kumiko really, really wanted to question that. But if Persona and Shadows were possible, why the hell not a homunculus. "Alright then,..." There was a bit of a struggle in her mind to move passed that point.

"And that was your persona going haywire? Last night? How do we avoid if there really is a way to do it."

 

[Cinnonym]

"Errm." She looked away. Perhaps she took it for granted that the technology was at her disposal, but she supposed it was a lot to wrap one's mind around. "It's the tunnels--our equipment runs on the aura of it, the way it distorts reality. I-It's a lot of information..."

The next topic made her slightly nervous, "My A.M.P. broke... That earpiece we wear? It keeps the Persona in control, and amplifies our innate abilities. My... My Persona has always been... volatile. I'm sorry. I never deserved to tell you you couldn't handle the responsibility if I couldn't control it myself." She seemed to remember something; digging in her book bag, she removed two slender cases. Inside them were similar earpieces. "I wanted to make it up to you. I want to help, so... I brought you some things..."

"I think we can invest in your team, and help you overcome the Shadows. D-Don't think that they're dangerous! If you've made it this far, you can handle these."
