Hikaru helped Satoshi to his feet, and called out for Mori to wait. She didn't think he'd listen... Only that she had to try anyway. Checking the freshman's forehead, she was unsurprised to find him feverish.

"How did you--Nevermind. I'll ask you everything tomorrow. Let's just get back to school, okay?"

The girl steadied him by lacing his arm around her shoulders and made sure to gather his weapons before pulling him out of the bizarre landscape. Her car was parked at the back. It should be easy to get both of them back to bed.

Out side Takuya had walked past Seiya's car. He had seen it, and thought about getting in- but realized Tsukiyomi would also be getting in...He'd rather eat vomit. His feet dragged, his lungs ached, and he felt tired.

But mentally he felt so good. What a rush it had been! How wonderful he had felt! He and Styx were a perfect team. He snickered. Of course they were.

By the time he made it back to school and too his dorm his mind was lost in thought on Styx, the parallel world, and just how to get Tsukiyomi. But it would have to wait until tomorrow.

Hikaru eased Tsukiyomi into the backseat where he could lie down. In the distant darkness, she could sense Mori heading uptwon, towards the school. She didn't stop him, or offer him a ride.

It may have been a mistake to bring him here.

She called Kurado midway through the drive, certain that Satoshi would be asleep. Still, she kept her voice low. "I brought him--it didn't go well. I don't think I'll be able to continue supervising him." The girl was silent while the voice on the other line sounded agitated, indeed. "He's... unstable. It's important that he has an AMP, or..." The voice cut her off again. "You can't track him! Only I... And there's another one..."

She spent the rest of the call listening acutely to the other end.

When she arrived at Akaito, she put Satoshi to bed and returned to the girls' dorms.

Kumiko awoke, having rested just fine through the night. The conversation with Eber was still floating somewhere in the back of her mind. They were all good at sneaking out by now, but there was no way they were all that good. There must have been something to have made Eber uneasy about the lack of punishment or security. The more she thought about it, the more it made no sense for any of them to not have gotten caught. But as she said, if it needed looking into, she'd be willing to.

For now, she pushed it further back in her mind. It was time for school and those clothes weren't going to put themselves on. When she was all freshened up and clothed, Kumiko headed for campus.

----

For the first time in what seemed like ages, Akinari's alarm clock 'woke up' before he did. He had a very specific way of going about his day and even though his encounter with Mori was a little more than a day ago, all that burned up energy was still recharging.

Even still, his alarm clock was set so early that he had enough time to make his round trip to school to drop off the bento for lunch and back to knock at Eber's door for morning exercise.

Kojiro a woke that morning feeling a bit better. He was slightly looking forward to class, if only because he was now one day closer to the start of Kendo club. He sighed happily. At least he had something to look forward to.

He prepared a small breakfast and gathered his things. He wanted to leave a little bit early to stop by Isoroku's room and make sure he was ok....

-----

When six o'clock rolled around, Takuya's eyes snapped open. He needed no alarm. he just instinctively woke up. Despite his time in the other world, even those few short hours of sleep had recharged him.

He studied his hands, still dirtied from last night's events. "For now..." he clenched his fist, "We must stay away from Seiya...she will...want to control us." he stood up and made his way to the shower. Styx murmured behind him, suggesting ways to torture Tsukiyomi. "Now now...there's more to our powers than your talons. Let put a little stress on Tuskiyomi around campus...He will be tired day and night if I can help it."

Takuya stopped in front of the mirror and smirked at Styx staring back at him. "And then when he can barely stand...you can rip him apart." He laughed, and Styx leaned back her head and let out shrill noise of entertainment.

They would make their own way for now...

Rin slapped her alarm clock and sat up in bed much more calmly than normal. She surprisingly felt well rested despite the fact that usually she would have preferred to just lay back into her bed. Deciding it was better to not question this small bit of good fortune, she quickly got out of bed and went to get ready for school. Her study session with Kojiro had gone well, despite Mori's intrusion. 'Still I wonder when Kojiro plans to try to get back into that factory.' She decided to ask him later at school.

A quick shower later, and Rin was standing in front of her rooms mirror brushing her hair slightly, before tying a pair of ribbons into it. Giving herself a final look, she grabbed her bag and left for school.

Isoroku opened the door almost seconds before Kojiro ever got the chance to knock. Dressed sloppily in his uniform and still without shoes, he held an enormous bowl and a pair of chopsticks with perhaps two packets' worth of instant ramen between them.

For breakfast.

"'Ey." He sniffed a bit in between slurping up noodles, "Fuck, is it half-past already?"

------

Eber, because he'd spent a wonderful night sleeping without having first spent all night fighting the denizens of Hell, called cheerfully for Akinari to come inside.

"Not tired out from our race yesterday, are you?" his grin was like pure sunshine, and he hopped on one foot while he tied the opposite sneaker, "I would hate to think I am being given an advantage. Come! Let us start from the stairs!"

Kojiro sighed and shook his head, "Roku, I know geniuses are supposed to be a little...odd...you take the cake. Get ready will you, I'll wait for you. I want to talk to you about-" He looked around, "The Security Team."

As pleased as he was that Eber seemed fully rested, it was quickly forgotten as he had to now keep up with him. Advantage or not he was still determined to one day beat his friend in a race. No matter how many loses it took, that victory would be the greatest. "No tripping this time, okay?"

Shiori rose from her bed, but it was her first time doing it on her own terms at Akaito. She actually got up slightly before 6AM, which was good since she forgot to set her alarm clock before she crashed last night. Stretching out the kinks that accumulated during her sleep, she hopped in the shower to clean off all the sweat that she had built up from fleeing.

She was feeling good, she felt like she was reborn, it was the start of a new day, a new chapter in her life. It was weird. All of a sudden, Akaito was where she wanted to be. Were these new feelings related to Ma'at's sudden appearance? She didn't care right now.

After finishing up, she slid into her uniform. She was still early, but after the first couple of days, showing up early was probably a smart thing to do. Plus, it was likely Seiya would be there early, what with her council duties and all, and she wanted to tell someone about what had happened to her last night, even she wouldn't fully understand it. She brushed down her hair into its usual prone position, scooped up her bag and headed towards the classrooms.

Yamada woke refreshed and pleased. He'd caught up completely on his cram school and studies and had gone as far as copying down a second set of notes for Seiya, having missed her in class, but understanding how busy her life is. He felt ready for class, ready for anything, completely charged today. After preparing everything he would need for the day he set off for class in oddly high spirits.

-------------

Satoshi felt like he'd been run over by a truck when he woke up, head hurting, face hurting, gut hurting, nearly everything vital in pain, and an overall exhaustion through him as if he'd just run a marathon, then helped build a house...then got punched in the face. He regretted trying to sit up and fell right back into his bed.

Everything from the night before came flooding back. The defeat was the most vivid, but slowly he remembered the rest, the warmth and power and trust. He was part of something now. Even if he'd lost, he'd done something. Just that thought gave him the strength to get up and ready for school. He went to class with his head down figuring no one would look at his face, not saying anything, but going over the events in the tunnels over ad over, trying to figure out how he got back to bed.

Isoroku rolled his eyes while he shoved his feet into a pair of shoes. While he finished getting ready, Kojiro could see that he had his pistol tucked in his belt at the small of his back. The balancing act that he played with the noodle bowl was truly remarkable.

"What, pray tell, do you have to say about Fucktards Anonymous?"

------

Eber was too far away to promise any good behavior. He'd leaped down the flight of stairs and was away out the door.

Once in solid, stable grass, it wasn't difficult for Akinari to catch up, which he didn't mind. It was good for the other boy to be so motivated. So easily motivated, too. If he could help it, all this leg training would be the first step to teaching Fujita-kun how to kick Mori in the balls.

He eased up just barely to let Akinari beat him to the school building's steps.

"Ah! You have done me in for certain!" The German said, hands on his knees and breathing heavily.

------

Hikaru was already in class. She had been there almost an hour prior, too. Waiting for Mori. Hoping she could speak with him before he made any rash decisions. As the students slowly filtered in for the start of the school day, she found that the hope was perhaps too much to ask.

She looked exhausted and downtrodden.

'I-I won?'

Akinari stood, trying to catch his breath and his thoughts. He'd won. 'No way!' It had to have been a fluke. On other days, Eber seemed like he was miles away. "Next time, I'm gonna beat you by a mile!" or so he could hope.

------

Kumiko made good time, arriving to the campus shortly after the jogging duo. It was a very welcome sight early in the morning. She walked passed the two, greeting them as she walked up the steps. "Morning boys."

Eber laughed, ruffling Akinari's hair. He heard Kumiko's greeting and straightened immediately.

"Senpai. You look, how do you say... Radiant."

Kojiro gawked at the gun, 'Is he really going to just carry that thing around!'

"Roku! That thing...in your pants...don't bring that to class you idiot!" Kojiro stepped into the room and closed the door. "Do you want to get expelled!"

----

Takuya made his way to the main building. He had to see the homeroom teachers for the Freshmen. He was going to make sure Tsukiyomi was on cleaning detail for a long long time. 'As long as the little twerp is tired, he'll be useless down there. Maybe a Shadow will pick him off?'

Styx chuckled in his ear.

'You're right! Might as well request that Fujita clean as well...since they are both so eager to always help around the school the teacher will think its a great idea. Two students that love to organize should do so together.'

Shiori was humming some Monkey Majic on her way up the steps. It was such a 180 from the previous day. That tired feeling, the dread going up the stairs, they were gone. 'And I have basketball practice after school too! Things are definitely looking up.'

She opened the door of classroom 3-A, and was a little surprised. As she thought, Seiya was there, but she looked a shell of her usual self. It was like everything she was feeling yesterday had settled on her friend today.

"Hey Seiya-san," she said tentatively. "You OK? You're not looking so good."

Kumiko giggled, "Thank you." She felt she looked good, but coming from him she might as well have been the surface of the sun. "And you don't have to call me senpai. Even if it is because your last name is murder, I call you by your first name. Sooo, you can call me by mine."

---

'Ah. The girl from the study group!'For some reason or another, Akinari's lips twisted in some strange expression. Well, she was very pretty...but radiant? He greeted her as she greeted him.

Isoroku gave him a Look.

"I feel better having it on me. Besides, no one's going to see it."

------

"My command is the wish you make, Kumiko-san. Ah... If I was not in such a state, I would offer to carry you to class." He winked, indicating their conversation the previous evening.

------

"O-Oh, Hasegawa-san. Good morning. I think I'm just a little tired..." Not trusting herself to betray her involvement, she didn't look at Shiori when she asked, "How was your... trip?"

"It was crazy," Shiori said quietly, not wanting to attract anyone else's attention. "I went down there, and it was all dark and stuff, and then a ball of fire came flying at me! And then there was like an earthquake, and I fell, and just before I was going to get eaten or something, this woman appeared, and she used lightning, and she zapped whatever it was, and I got away! It was a miracle!"

She calmed herself down from her frenzied whispering and sat down in her chair. "But it worked. Slept like a baby last night."

She smiles. "I'll keep it in mind. Carry on, boys." Kumiko continued up the steps and went to class, a grin still on her place.

----

Feeling a bit like the awkward third wheel, Akinari pat Eber on the should letting him know that he was going on ahead to the locker rooms and would see him later.
