"But...what about club days? We can't possibly get all of this done on days we have club activities." That was about as much protest as he could muster, at least with Mori standing so close. Eber may have been there, but that did not stop Mori from being the most frightening person he'd ever encountered. "Even if we had help, we wouldn't have much time f-for practice."

Akinari looked straight down, he would not meet that evil looking stare.

Rin glanced over at Kojiro and gave a small nod. "I did." She followed his gaze to Isoroku briefly before looking back at him. "Do you think Isoroku is doing alright?"

"Hmn," Mori looked at Fujita as if he was reviewing the matter over in his head. "Then on your club days one of you will oversee the students while the other is away. It is as simple as that." Takuya nodded.

"You do not have club everyday, Fujita-kohai. And Tsukiyomi-kohai you are only in Journalism. So one day, each of you will be alone. But I'm sure you'll be able to handle it. And if facing the matter alone bothers you...we'll I'm sure your friends will be happy to pitch in."

Isoroku cleaned out his ear with the end of his pinky while the other two discussed him. He peered at the earwax he'd collected, then turned and wiped it off on some other kid's bookbag.

------

Hikaru paused.

There's a rumor about a magical bullet train that grants your heart's desire that's really just a corpse trap, and you're lucky to make it out alive.

"N-No, just the murders. That's all I really remember."

"OK," Shiori said, a little disappointed. "I wish I could figure out what the heck that was down there that attacked me. It's really starting to bug me. I mean, if it was a dragon or something, I figured someone would have heard about it. But if you say nothing's special about them, then I don't know."

If I do go back down there, I'll have to be a lot better prepared then I was before. I mean, I lost my flashlight down there.

"Y-yes sir. Of course, sir." This might have been a fair task if Akinari had more than one friend. He held his breath for fear of breathing incorrectly could bring more 'praise' his way. Staying in a low bow was his way of showing Mori respect, fear, submission, whatever it was that the President wanted from him.

'friends'. He said 'friends'. He sneered at the older student, so far from wanting to bow to him. Takuya knew full well that the two of them had between them a total of, as far as he could see, one friend. One friend and it was Akinari's. He glanced up, eyes full of fury and slightly inclined his head in more of a nod than a bow. A show of acceptance of the task either way.

Getting other student wasn't something Satoshi wanted to do. He could use their help but he did not want to deal with them in the least. His eyes tore off the president and very briefly flitted over the faces of his other classmates before returning to stare down at his own shoes. A few classrooms wasn't much to clean. They would get it over with quickly every day. If they did the most minimal work, but were doing it every day the rooms would stay clean and they wouldn't be questioned and that is precisely what he intended to do. He would not work himself to the bone over this. He was sure his mother would be pleased with the responsibility, but he knew it was nothing like that. Not from Takuya Mori. He had already seen what he looked like inside and it was anything but an upstanding member of society.

Once he was done with Fujita and Tuskiyomi, Takuya turned to leave. Outside the freshman class room, Styx expressed her disdain for Tsukiyomi's blatant looks of rebellion.

"Arrogant little prick... Perhaps this freshman needs to understand that we don't tolerate insubordination. Even in looks." Takuya and Styx turned to exit the main school building. He was not planning on going back to class, no instead he slipped his hand into his pocket and rubbed his thumb over the skeleton key he possessed.

"I think we should give Tsukiyomi something else to clean up this afternoon..."

Eber would've spit on the floor if it wouldn't have meant Akinari would have had to clean it. Instead he snorted in disgust. "Aki-kun. Where was that bravery that you showed me just days ago? You did nothing but accept his scorn!"

------

Hikaru was silent for a long moment before she opened her mouth again,

"Hasegawa-san, would you like to join the school Security Team?"

The lunch bell rings. It's time to get back to work.

"Hmmm?" Shiori asked, caught a little off guard by Hikaru's offer. Of course she was thinking about it before, but it seemed like a random time to ask her.

As they started to head back to class, she answered, "Yeah, sure I'll join. It'll give me something else to do besides basketball."

Akinari shrank. "I-I'm sorry! I just--I was scared and...I'm no good at this. If I say anything more he'll just make my tasks worse. I'm not brave or strong like you. So I have to do what he says..."

He felt the crush of the defeat again. More so now that Eber had expressed his disappointment.

While the rest of the student body began the second half of their school day, Takuya walked the halls of the boys corms until he came to Tsukiyomi's room. He used his skeleton key to open teh door and stood in the thresh hold and sneered.

"How disgusting...this room is cluttered with trash..." He extended his arms, "Let's clean it up for him!"

Takuya himself never entered the room, but Styx's arms and furry extended forth from him and took hold to figures, comics, displays and crushed them. He laughed as his persona snapped heads off of superheroes and dumped comics on the floor. Every time she opened her mouth and swung her hand something precious was destroyed. After three minutes Takuya lowered his arms and sighed happily.

"There, we made it much better...Tsukiyomi-kohai will be very pleased." Takuya took a step back and the door swung close by Styx's hand. He whistled all the way back to class- which to others would seem odd, but he was in a very good mood.

He arrived late to afternoon lectured, but the teacher didn't seem to mind he took his seat, and for a just a brief moment, Styx flicked her hand and knocked Seiya's pen on the ground. Takuya stared back at her and held her gaze. he didn't have any sort of look on his face, he just looked into her eyes. Then turned around and faced the front again as if nothing had happened.

Satoshi just stood for several moments before realizing he was still in front of the class. He started to shuffle to his seat before he took a look at Akinari and made his way to him seeming sort of awkward, out of place. "Are you... okay?" The boy had checked on him before. It was only right to return that kindness, especially when they were going to be stuck in this together.

"Huh?" Akinari was still in cowering mode, it took him a moment to realize that Satoshi was talking to him. "I, um. Yeah, I'm alright," shook his head slowly. "It's not the first time Mori-senpai has requested something like this from me. At least this time he's allowing help, right?" he tried to feel optimistic about that, but in the end felt a sense of patheticness. That would involve him having to have more than one of those 'friends' that seemed to be so elusive.

Satoshi nodded, trying not to look discouraged, even with his beat up face. "Right. We'll get it done. Can't be that hard, right?" He wanted it to sound easy because that's how he wanted it to be. He thought it was strange for the other boy to cower so much and wondered if there was more to this situation with Mori again. He didn't like the way Akinari looked. Like a small, terrified animal.

Akinari looked at Satoshi like he had just uttered the impossible. 'Can't be that hard?', he had enough interaction with Mori by himself and through Eber to know that 'Can't be that hard' would drain him of will and energy. But, he tried to be optimistic about it. He wasn't going to be the one to ruin the mood. "Yeah! You're right. We'll keep this place under control."

Satoshi nodded, determined not to let Mori crush his spirit. He was still a hero even if he lose. Every hero needed a good villain, right? He wondered when Mori was going to turn on them, going to turn on both him and Seiya and whoever else was involved. Would he make them trust him first? Was that possible.

He looked back at Akinari seeming to remember that he was in a conversation. He leaned in and whispered. "Don't ever let him get the best of you." This boy had been the only one to reach out to him in the school. He didn't want to see him lose heart over someone like Takuya Mori. He was going to have to write an article for the paper on Mori and the way he treated students. He wondered if it would ever be allowed to run.

He gave him a slight, unpracticed smile. "Don't worry." With that he walked back to his desk, pulling out a comic and just reading away immersing himself in the story.

"I'll sign you up right away. The next meeting is Thursday, tomorrow..." Hikaru pulled her books back on top of her desk in time for the class bell to ring.

Her pen fell from her fingers. Something had shoved her--damp, slimy. She looked to Takuya, met his blank and empty stare. She couldn't look away; it commanded her attention... And then, as quickly as it had begun, it ended. The pen lay forgotten on the floor. Hikaru used a new one.

The bell rings, releasing you from classes for the day.

Moving across the country tomorrow morning. Except posting to remain spotty until Monday night. Whoever has clubs today, go ahead and give narrative regarding the events.

As soon as the bells rang, Kumiko stood up and stretched, glad that class was over. A smile spread across her face and she found the need to get her self to the front of the steps outside of the building as quickly as possible. She waved goodbye to Yamada, grabbed her stuff, and hurried outside.

----

Akinari was not so thrilled to hear the end of class. It was time to start cleaning everything from top to bottom. He refused to ask Eber for help, he'd already disappointed him. "Ready, Tsukiyomi-kun?"

He started to straighten up before the room had even cleared out.

Shoot, have fun with that afro.

"Cool, sounds good," Shiori replied as Hikaru's pen hit the floor. She didn't even go for it, she just pulled out a new one, as if it dissolved away into the ground. It was a little weird, and a bit wasteful, but whatever, class was on.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the bell rang, Shiori was out of her chair like a rocket. She gave a quick wave to Hikaru as she headed down towards the gym. Finally, it was time for the first basketball practice at her new school. It was what she was brought here to do, and in her current state, she felt like she could take on LeBron James.

She finally arrived at the locker rooms and headed to her designated locker. Changing quickly, she was soon on her way out onto the floor.
