When the bell rang Kojiro gathered up his things and bid his friends goodbye for the time being. Though Kendo wasn't today, he wanted to get down to the room and make sure it was still in good shape form last week. He also wanted to squeeze in a bit of practice before his homework.

He told Rhin and Isoroku he'd text them later to see if they wanted to get together and finish it, but for now, he just wanted to stab things.

Eber was indeed disappointed--Or, perhaps "disappointed" was not the correct word. More, he was irked. Agitated that Mori continued to make shows of power, and irritated that he remained the only student to stand up to him. He just doesn't know any better because he's foreign. He was certain that was the general consensus.

He left Akinari and his new friend behind without much to say and headed out to the boys' dorms in a bit of a sulk.

She began to debate if she had gotten there too late. Freshmen were on the first floor after all. Just when she was about to give up, the German exited the building. "Hey!" Kumiko jogged up to Eber, though the smile on her face vanished by the time she got a clear look at his face. "What's the matter with you?"

"Ah--Kumiko-san." Eber frowned, head tilted to one side thoughtfully, "It is nothing to concern your lovely mind with. Although... Tell me, what seems to be the collective opinion of the Student Council President? Wicked, ja?"

"More than wicked. That guy is seriously messed up in the head or something. Like, more than kicking a puppy, bad. But the 'probably-gets-off-on-pain' sort of messed up." She nodded to herself like this was an absolute fact. To the entire student body (save for Seiya), Mori was the most sick, twisted, evil bastard that ever graced Japan.

"Why?" Kumiko had temporarily forgotten that Eber was only a freshmen. "Because his family is powerful. He's got connections you know. Once, some kid got up in his face. Kinda like you. But he refused to step down and challenged his authority, right? A day later the kid is in the hospital with broken knee caps." She leans closer to whisper. "People think he's Yakuza, ya know?"

After an hour or so of cleaning up the kendo room for club tomorrow and a little bit of practice, Kojiro sat down and text Rin and Isoroku:

Rin had returned to her dorm room after classes had ended early and decided to work a little on her school work. She had settled into a decent pace and gotten a good deal done when her cell phone buzzed. She reached over and picked it up off the desk and saw Kojiro's text. Reading it she quickly punches in a reply.

Code:
Sure, just tell me where to meet you.

He replied simply, and with confidence, "I am not afraid of him. Rather... I think that perhaps I must meet him on an equal playing field. Ah." Eber nodded. "But I forget my other duties."

As nonchalantly as possible, the German stopped, swept Kumiko off her feet and into his arms, and just as easily continued walking.

------

Code:
Sure, bro. Ramen shop?

Kumiko looked at him with a quirked eyebrow. "Eber, you're either completely insane or a complete an total bad-ass." She put her hands up like her were being defensive. "I'm just saying. It has to be one of the two. And you don't seem too crazy to me."

---

Akinari kicked it into high gear. Just because he didn't want to, didn't mean he was allowed to slack. In fact, he was sure if the place didn't look just as amazing as the locker room did, Mori would have some sort of punishment in store for him. He of course, did his best to remain a ray of sunshine in the room even though he was tired. With Satoshi's help he was done a little faster than he expected, though still exhausted.

Rin closed her phone after seeing Kojiro's response. She quickly stood up from her desk deciding she could finish the final bit of her work after getting back. Deciding to be safe she grabbed her bag with her book and slipped on her shoe's before leaving her dorm room and heading for the ramen shop.

Kojiro arrived first at TaeBowl. He took a seat and waited for Isoroku and Rin. He ordered the House Bowl while he ate- it was supposedly really good, but very large. He couldn't remember if Isoroku had ordered it or not before.

Rin finally arrived at the ramen shop and quickly spotted Kojiro. She made her way over to him and sat down across from him. "Hello Kojrio." She gave him a small smile as she said this, and saw that he had already ordered. Deciding she should probably get something herself she glanced at the menu briefly. Deciding to play it safe she ordered the same meal she had gotten last time. "So how were club activities today?"

Shiori wiped the sweat from her forehead. The first practice at Akaito was indeed brutal. Coach Tabuse did not hold anything back as he put the girls through the paces. They had just finished up a tough full court scrimmage, requiring multiple passes to be made before a shot could be taken. The junior that had been assigned the tough task of guarding Shiori was not holding back on the physical play just because it was practice either. But she held her own, and thought she did fairly well until the coach broke up the game and ended the practice.

"Hasegawa, need to talk to you for a second. The rest of you, good stuff today. See you next week."

"Yes, Tabuse-sama," the team replied. Shiori followed over to a secluded portion of the gym while the rest of the team headed for the locker rooms. "What is it, Tabuse-sama?"

The coach had his hands on his hips as he looked up and shook his head, "I gotta tell you Hasegawa, I can see why a special transfer case was made to bring you in here. You are the real deal. Nakata threw everything she had at you, and you still were in complete control of the battle."

"Thank you, Tabuse-sama," Shiori said, accepting the compliment. It was nice to hear that from a coach as respected as Tabuse was. He was a former NBA player, if only for a few minutes, but that's still better than almost everyone in the country.

"But, if your dreams are to play in America, and judging from your status as one of the top young players in Japan as well as your father's history, I'm guessing that is the case, you have a major problem ahead of you."

Shiori was a bit taken back by this revelation. "What, what is that?"

"You see, you have an excellent post game, very refined," Coach Tabuse explained. "And you use your height to your advantage. But the flaw is that this is Japan. It doesn't take much height to get you an advantage. The women you would face in the posts of the USA would have an easy half a foot on you. And all the post moves in the world aren't going to work if a girl just has to reach up to swat it from you. Scouts aren't going to like that."

This was a bit hard to take for her. If this was true, then any chance of getting a scholarship would be out the window, and all her plans would have to be re-evaluated.

"But, you showed some good mobility out there," Tabuse continued. "That's what I was looking for when I put Nakata on you in the first place. I think you could make it as a shooting guard over there if you worked on your dribbling and outside shooting a bit more. I plan on giving you a fair amount of time at the two spot, in practice and maybe in games, just to get you used to that position, OK? I want you to be able to succeed over in America, I got my seven minutes over there. I have faith that if you work at this, you can get quite a few more."

"Yes, Tabuse-sama." Shiori bowed before him.

"All right, get out of here," he said as he headed back to his office.

Shiori scurried off to the locker room to clean up with the others. This wasn't the ending she had hoped for when she started practice today.

Kojiro shook his head, "I didn't really have club today, I was just getting the room ready for tomorrow because I knew no one else would." He eats and smiles back at her. "As soon as Isoroku gets here we'll talk about what we're gonna do for tomorrows Security Team run, okay?"

She nods at his words as the waitress returns with her order. She takes the bowl and thanks her before taking a small bite. "So you um still want to go to the factory place right? Do you think Seiya-Sempai will approve?"

Yamada was in a very good mood by the end of class, head held high and even a small on his face. He went right to his room to gather his things and get in the proper dress, then right to the Sojutsu practice room. He surveyed it a half hour before his few comrades were set to join him. He set everything just where it needed to be and nodded at his own handiwork.

This was perfect. Just what he needed. Not only could he use the practice, but the structure was something he thrived upon. This was what he knew. A comfort zone.

As his members, all four of them, filtered inside the room he gave them each a practice spear and paired them off, first to stretch and then to spar. He wanted to see if they'd been homing their skills throughout the hiatus.

He nodded as Saito bested Hayashi. He'd favored him since the previous year and thought he showed real potential in the sport. The only one in the bunch he could see continuing with it. The others weren't bad, but their drive was waning. He wondered if his own wasn't too.

When he saw that drive, that need for victory in Saito's eyes he thought that was how he must have looked before. Before he found out about the tunnels, about Fionn and the other personas, about the shadows and Seiya's secret corporation. He couldn't help dwelling on it.

After the things that they had seen already he wondered how much Seiya had seen, how many experiences she'd had by now. He could hardly imagine how it must have effected her, but she seemed so stable, strong and talented in everything she did. It was incredible.

He hadn't realized that he'd stopped watching the other students and was staring off into space as he thought until the quiet sank in and he noticed the four others staring at him.

He straightened up and tried to force down his embarrassment, getting into the swing of things with them and leading the practice, wishing it had quite the same appeal it used to. Practicing spear play for competition just wasn't the same after using the same skills to hunt shadows. As he thought on how he sounded he wondered briefly if he'd gone mad, but made it through the rest of practice and dismissed the others. They seemed excited and offered he join them for dinner.

Yamada declined gracefully and told them perhaps another time. He had to study. Not a one of them was surprised and headed off, only Saito giving an almost concerned glance behind them at their captain.

Yamada stayed in the practice room for hours, trying to get himself prepared for anything those tunnels could throw at him and trying not to think.

Satoshi nodded as the other freshman started in on the cleaning, getting into it himself, if not a bit reluctantly. He was a bit amazed at the effort the other boy was putting into it. He got more tired by the minute and it showed, getting somewhat sluggish toward the end. He rubbed at his eyes, bothered by the chemicals they'd used.

"You are much more driven than I am." He was sure he couldn't do this again. Not if they were going to put this much into this. Forget it. He'd never have time for library staff, or to catch up on his comics. "Now we won't have to do as much next time."

With this amount of cleanliness everything would be easy to maintain and if Mori wasn't happy with it then he could just do it himself.

Kojiro eats, "I'm sure she will, as long as we put together a good enough plan." He looks at his bowl amazed that it doesn't even seem like half of it is gone. 'NO wonder Isoroku is always eating leftovers.'
