Satoshi hated the sound of this and was positive he would have refused, would have fought him on this, but everyone was watching, all of them would know and the boy beside him looked so upset. He realized then that Mori was talking almost exclusively to Akinari. He had to be. No one would fall for anyone ever, even jokingly calling Satoshi charismatic or outgoing. Most people had no idea who he even was, and he liked it that way, but this was interesting now.
He needed to know what Mori's issue with Akinari was. He wouldn't have cared what his teachers or the library staff thought of him, but it looked like the other boy would care on his end. He was intrigued ad also didn't want to make him face it alone. "No. I will do it. You don't have to say anything to them." He tried to make himself sound scared but wasn't sure how top notch his acting was.
He supposed the fear wasn't too terribly far from the truth though. He felt that damp rage coming from Mori again, that sickening, disturbing fury and it was the last thing he wanted to face. He knew he couldn't take it head on now. They were too strong for him, and the fight was over, but if he could find some weakness, some undoing of either of them he could use it to his benefit, keep a repeat performance of last night from ever happening. "I would hate to let down the school."
