Rin sighed as she saw Kojiro leave the class. 'He still seems in a fowl mood.' She turned to Isoroku as she packed her things and stood up. "I'll um see you after clubs as well Isoroku." She gave him a small nod and left the room for the music club. She did her best to keep her breathing even and not to let her nerves get the better of her.

Takuya watched the two girls leave- Not together. ...He supposed it was alright for even him to perceive a situation inaccurately. Seiya was nice to everyone. Everyone. Usually to the point it drove him crazy.

So she and Hasegawa were not close. Oh well. He decided it was time for him to depart as well, and to get a new change of clothes.

----

Kojiro was the second to arrive at practice, only late to their captain who regaled him with the horror story of Mori flinging a desk after Fridmund sprayed him with soda. It was not what he was expecting to hear.

'This kid is just dead set on being center of attention isn't he? Guess I know why he's dating Mizushima.' Of course Kojiro told his Senpai the same kid was now Mizushima's latest arm accessory. What a world they lived in...

Until practice began he took to beating down practice dummies. All of his pent up rage expressed its self in his swings. They weren't neat and precise today, but they had more force than ever.

He smiled back for the brief moment before Eber opened his mouth again. Akinari babbled as he tried to get out a plethora of sentences in a breath. But none of it was coherent in the slightest. "Wha-what? What do you mean you'll be sitting out? That's not fair!" He put down the trash bin in a huff. "Why?"

"It is only one meet, Aki-kun," he said with a nonchalant shrug, "I did not want to waste my time in any case."

This wasn't true--but it sounded better than the truth, so he stuck with it.

The music clubroom was packed with students. As to be expected, these wealthy sons and daughters played a variety of classical instruments, often from childhood. Rarely did they have the passion for it that those who knew the value of practice showed... Their performances were cold as ice.

Hikaru worried she'd fallen into that category as well. What was it, really, to play the piano except pressing this key and that key, at the right time?

"Good afternoon, Junsui-san. If you're ready, would you like to join me? We could play a quick piece while the others warm up." Despite her concerns, her smile was genuine. Rin, she thought, must be stronger than she looked to put up with scholastic pursuits as well as the tunnels.

"But it's the first competition for the team. It's important! Very important! And we've been training for it so long and now you don't care? It's not just the team or ourselves we compete for. We do it for everyone. We represent our school and you're going to brush it off?" Akinari folded his arms, obviously upset about Eber's 'lack of team spirit'.

Rin gave Seiya a small nod and wondered if the other girl could see her nervous she was. "I um wouldn't mind playing a bit with you Seiya-sempai." She did her best to keep her voice even and not to glance away from Seiya.

Hikaru smiled. "Let's consider it a brief lesson, then. I'll play a piece in the Baroque style--accompany me, if you please."

She waited until the murmur of the talkative members died down, and then her fingers took to the ivory keys. Her melody was simple, and slow... But once Rin caught onto it, it gradually became quicker, and more complex.

Rin did her best to keep up with Seiya, though she was sure she had messed up once or twice. Still she found herself feeling out classed by the way Seiya seemed to play with such ease.

Akinari looked quite surprised at Eber. Was he being brushed off? "I-...Alright...I guess...I guess I should go, huh?" Akinari pushed passed the German, trying to figure out if he was upset with him or not or if Akinari himself should be upset about Eber. His lips pulled to one side in thought as he walked back to the boys' dormitories alone.

Eber took over the scrubbing of the room. It was the least he could do, really.

She once again slowed her pace and brought the duet to a close; perhaps it was a matter of playing for an audience, but Rin didn't quit show the courage she'd expected. Still, the others applauded politely while the two took their seats in the group. While the rest of the students sampled their own talents, Hikaru leaned over and whispered.

"You're nervous, huh? It's all right. I thought you did great."

She smiled reassuringly and faced forward again. Shortly, they'd be meeting for the Security Team.

One problem with the timing of the meeting in Shiori's eyes, was that for the time the others were in their respective clubs, she didn't really have anything to do. She didn't really feel like going back to her dorm just to head right back out, and she didn't want to do any running or anything that would have to result in a shower. There was only one real option besides sitting around doing nothing, so she purchased a bottle of water out of one of the hallway vending machines and sat down outside the door of Room 3-G to do some of the massive amounts of homework the teachers had assigned. It was boring, but it gave her something to do while she waited for the meeting.

Rin's nerves felt a bit better when her and Seiya had finished playing. As she sat down in her seat she was surprised when Seiya complimented her. "Thank you, um Seiya-sempai." She felt herself calm down a bit more at this point. 'Maybe I was just over thinking things. That wasn't so bad.' She shifted a bit in her seat and found herself smiling lightly as she listened to the other students play a bit.

After the last quiet applause from the last soloist, the Music Club president gave its members a brief lecture over attendance and upcoming events, including Culture Day. Hikaru winced when she heard the words... She'd completely forgotten how close it was. Finally the students filtered out of the room and she stood, hanging behind for Rin.

"It's time for our 'other' meeting, Junsui-san. Ah... I have someone I'd really like you to meet."

She led the sophomore to 3-G, where Hasegawa was waiting.

'Damn I hate algebra. Oh so very very much. If I ever rule the world, I'm eliminating it.'

Deep in thought trying to work through the problems that had been posed as homework, Shiori almost missed seeing Hikaru walk up to the room.

"Hey Seiya-san," she greeted her class mate, before she noticed the other person with her. It was a surprising face, but one she recognized from a couple nights earlier. "Hey, um...Junsui-san! Are you in Music club too?"

Rin followed Seiya out of the music room. She was slightly curios as to who Seiya wanted her to meet. She was surprised when she saw Seiya stop by a girl. Rin recognized her after a moment as Hasegawa. 'The girl from the other night.' She nodded at Hasegawa's question. "Ah yes Hasegawa-san I am." Rin glanced at Seiya and wondered if Seiya was up to something with this introduction.

"Sorry to keep you waiting for so long! I'll have to get you a key in case one of you beats me here again..." Hikaru fiddled with the knob and unlocked it, letting the other girls inside. "We're just waiting for everyone else now..."

Eber was next to arrive, within ten minutes. He looked oddly stern and smelled like cleaner. When he saw the other senior, his brows knitted in curiosity.

"Who is this?"

"Hey, Soda Kid!" Shiori said, recognizing the student who gave Mori a carbonated bath earlier. "That was great. If Mori hadn't flipped out so horribly after you did that, that would have been the funniest thing I've seen since that video with the skateboarding dog."

Kojiro entered the room right at words 'skateboarding dog'. He stopped in the doorway, he had been thinking about how well practice had gone. It was promising to come out on top of all of your sparing matches the first practice day of the year. It was also a great method to relieve stress.

He wasn't even angry at Kumiko anymore. But he was confused as to why this girl was back...Was this going to be a regular occurrence?

Kumiko entered the room just a few minutes after Kojiro. Just seeing that long, black, curly hair made her upset. She should have done more during the lunch break. 'God, that jerk. I hope a shadow smacks him really--who is that girl?' Last she checked, there weren't that many people in their group and she had never met the girl before.

"Whose she?"
