Yamada's brows raised, surprised that the president came from a man such as this. He was a bit surprised at the outburst, but glanced to the old man, then the younger one. "I'm not meaning to upset you so much Mori Sempai." He had a hard time keeping his expression neutral. "But the other students are going to be so disappointed. Don't you agree that an extracurricular such as Sojutsu teaches control and disciple. I thought it'd be something that you would support instead of dismiss."

Takuya ground his teeth, "I dismiss it because it lacks the support and the funding."

"Then I shall provide the school with funding." Takuya's heart stopped. It was almost visible on his face. He turned to his grandfather, who only smiled. "I agree with the young man, Sojutsu is an excellent chance for students to learn disciple, control, and self respect." He nodded to Takuya, "I know you would never participate in such activities, but there is no reason to deny others. Come no, Takuya, where is the paperwork?"

Takuya relaxed his jaw. Defeat, rarely came...but when it did it usually came from his grandfather. He sneered, he was going to get it later, so he might as well go easy on himself.

"There is no paper work, Grandfather. You recall yesterday don't you? When I told you my bag had been vandalized by that German student..." He turned to Yamada, "A freshmen I had cleaning the class rooms thought it was funny to dump bleach in my bag when I was out of the room. Everything was ruined. And since your idea is a new club, there wasn't a bases for it already in the system. And you only filled out one form, it was destroyed. If you have filled out two like recommended, Seiya-san would have had a copy for the teachers."

Grandfather Mori looked Takuya up and down, evaluating this answer. When he found ti passing, he nodded. "Then we shall take care of it today." he turned to Yamada, "Please return to class young man, and tell your teacher you were speaking with Shinichirou Mori about your club. There will be a table for you at the front doors at lunch. I look forward to seeing you in action."

Shinishirou nodded to Yamada and ushered him out. Takuya glared at him, but his eyes turned sideways to the old man. For he knew as soon as the door was closed he was to face a monster that rivaled that one he had seen the night before...

Yamada bowed to the older man on his way out. "Thank you both for your time. I hope you feel better soon Mori Sempai. It was very nice to have met you, Mori Sama." He pushed the spears further up on his shoulder and headed right out the door, pleased with himself and headed for class.

Eber walked up to class with his friend in tow behind him, relaying to Akinari stories of the coach that he'd heard--funny things to pass the time. When he approached the classroom door, he stopped abruptly and stared at it, as though he'd never seen it before. After a moment of stillness, he reached out and grasped at the air just in front of it, hand twisting, like one would turn a door knob. Then the door slid open and he shook his head, looking puzzled. "Ah..." He looked at the boy behind him, chewing his lip in thought, "Hm."

He said nothing more on the matter and went inside.

--------

While some of you are outside, responsible for preparing your tables, the rest are indoors and ready to begin class. The anticipation of the clubs and their "games" keeps the students from focusing on their work; even the teachers realize their efforts to cram knowledge into a half-day is pointless. They lecture, and the last instructor gives you a sheet of sample problems to work on until the bell for lunch finally rings. While the teacher tries to get the worksheets turned in, eager boys and giggling girls are rushing downstairs to spend the rest of the afternoon out of doors.

Club Rush begins!

Kojiro loaded up his books and turned to Isoroku, "Alright, I've got to head to Kendo. Call me when you're all done, ok?" He stood up and waved to Rin. He didn't have time to stick around he had to put on his uniform and get down there. If he didn't show up for the second half his teammates were going to kill him.

Takuya, much to his dismay, stood by the Sojutsu table waiting for Yamada. He rubbed his left arm just under his shoulder. It hurt like hell. He'd get Yamada for this; somehow, someway, he would get him.

He crossed his arms and waited for the junior to arrive and take over.

The day is simple to get through for Yamada. He finishes the problems in no time at all and sets the sheet on their teachers desk, gathering his spears and other items as he heads out, a bit excited to go see his table. He wants badly to try recruiting students for his club right way, though he doubts he's going to have many takers for something so old-fashioned. He's very happy to see his area just as promised when he gets outside and sets his spears on top of it. He gave a conservative smile to the student council president. "Hello again, Mori Sempai. Are you feeling any better than you were this morning?"

Rin waved back Ishikawa as she stood. She grabbed her bag and made her way downstairs. Despite her efforts, she still felt unsure about tonight. She hoped she wouldn't mess it up for Ishikawa or Yoshida. However all such thoughts slipped from her mind as she entered the area of booths for club rush. She felt the sense of excitement and fun in the air, and even felt herself smile a bit. Rin decided to look around briefly before heading to the music clubs booth and signing up.

Kojiro stopped off in the locker room to change clothes. He had decided against wearing the uniform all day, but now that he wasn't going up and down stairs he could wear it for the rest of club rush.

As he made his way up to the table, he spotted his teammates. Indeed they were pissed he skipped out for the first half, and as such he was obligated, at least in their eyes, to carry out the demonstrations for the next few hours. It was going to take him a while before he could break away and find a place to sneak out.

---

Takuya sneered at Yamada, "I'll feel better once I'm away from this table and over at the soccer booth." He moved aside to let Yamada take over. "Don't get cocky, Yamada-kohai, if you don't have an adequate number of students the school can cancel your club and put the funding to better use. Like for the men's soccer team."

He turned around without another word and left.

Hikaru turned to greet Rin with a smile, "Good afternoon! Oh... Are you a musician, too, Junsui-san?" She pushed the roster across the table towards the second year. "What instrument do you play?"

Kumiko had recovered enough to go back to manning her booth. Quite surprised at the turn out for soccer applicants. The field was open and the new sign ups were having a go at the game. At least she still had sports to look forward to.

In the back of her head she still felt the need to go to the train and find out once and for all if the rumors had any merit. And if they did, why was she being beckoned? Was it her turn to make a wish?

Thunk. Akinari set down his heavy bento on one of the near by tables. Today was a great day to share his food. He of course set aside an entire layer for his friend and handed out a few of his extras to the same few people he had the day prior. He made sure to save a decent amount for himself to eat.

He made a show of watching the still undecided students wandering about from booth to booth.

As he watched the older student go he smiled to himself and unwrapped both of the beautiful, obviously well-cared-for spears and stood in front of his booth. Two of the students who had been on it the previous year approached a bit nervously and signed up. He asked one to man the list of students and asked the other to announce a competition. It was to get people over to the table and he hoped it was going to work. It was a sort of demonstration. If any one student could land even a single hit on Yamada, they would win the very beautiful spear laid on the table that had not a scratch on it. It was obviously worth a ton of yen. He asked his two comrades to borrow one of their practice spears for the contestants to use, then stood ready in front of the both, half expecting to have tons of takers and half expecting not to have a single one.

For some reason it was then again that he remembered the man at the stream's edge from his dream the previous night. Those merry, challanging eyes, and he knew he was going to do his all. He was going to keep his club alive no matter what. He wasn't about to give Takuya Mori the pleasure of seeing him fail at anything.

Rin gave a small smile in return. "Hello Seiya-San. I um play the violen a little." Rin reached down and signed her name on the roster, before glancing back up at Seiya. "um What instrument do you play?"

Hikaru's smile brightened, "A violinist! It takes such discipline... How admirable! I'll bet you're just wonderful." She leaned across the table to help a couple of other students sign up, and helped one more find the wrestling table. "I play the piano myself. ...It's really just a hobby..."

Rin looked a bit bashful at her compliment. "I'm ok I guess, But you seem very impressive. I what I mean is you are part of the student council, and the music club. You must be good yourself." Rin tried to put on a believable smile while mentally kicking herself for such and odd sounding compliment.

Hikaru blinked in surprise, then laughed, "Thank you! I just like to keep busy, though. Don't you agree? ...I'll see you in club." She smiled and nodded, leaving to go supervise the rest of the tables.

Eber checked in again with his tables, to see if any needed his help, but before they could answer he had spotted his lunch--err, friend--from across the courtyard. He hurried over and looped an arm around Akinari's shoulders, "Aki... One of these is for me, I hope..."

"Oh!" he pat his chest in surprise. "You bet." he pointed to one of the segments that he'd set aside. "That whole thing is yours actually. Packed full of all your athletic essentials." Akinari nodded his head more to himself than Eber. "But more importantly..." he leaned a bit to whisper. "Are you alright? You were all...spacey before class..." he then imitated what he saw.

Rin said goodbye to Seiya and walked away from the music table. Deciding she had nothing else to do. Rin began to leisurely walk around and stopping to look at any club she found interesting. After a few minutes she pulled out her phone and gave Ishikawa a call to let him know she was done.

Yamada worked hard at his booth and battled a few f the other students. None of them came close and none of them signed up. He leaned against the table for just a moment, wiped at his forehead then stood straight again. There were a couple of on-lookers, but he didn't notice them too much.

Hikaru approached Yukimura's table and waited patiently at the side until she caught the boy's eyes; when she did she waved, "Yamada. I'm glad you got your table worked out. Did Mori find the paperwork?"

-------

"Ah--" He paused, considering the question carefully. Though Akinari had mentioned having similar dreams, he wasn't sure this was the sort of thing that ought to be discussed with other perfectly sane human beings. He smiled comfortingly, patting his head, "Everything is fine. ...I have to focus very hard when thinking." He perched himself on the edge of the table and began eating the lunch that'd been prepared for him.

Kojiro heard his phone ring in his bag, but his team would not permit him the chance to go answer it. He cursed them under his breath, 'Clearly they had not had the dream...His friends would just have to wait.'

As another group of students came by he found himself looking around to see what he could observe around the court yard. Not too much unfortunately. Soon here he was going to have to ask for a 'bathroom' break.

----

Takuya circled around the booths. Checking up on a few students here and there. And occasionally yelling at people, for loitering about school property when they were done signing up. It wasn't that i was a problem for them to just stand around the court yard. Its just that he was angry, and they looked happy. How could he resist? His Grandfather was enraging sometimes, and unfortunately he could never yell back at him.

He stopped walking as he spotted Fridmund socializing with a much shorter student a few feet away at a table.

"Ah," he smirked, "Time to relieve some stress..." he turned on his heals and made his way over to them.
