Yamada hadn't managed to get very much sleep the previous night. He'd had this odd, unsettled feeling the entire time. It was if he had something he should be doing, somewhere he needed to be. He felt as if he had some sort of obligation or duty to uphold that he was letting go and it bothered him. He stayed up studying and working, finishing anything he possibly could to make the feeling dissipate.
When he woke the next morning after about an hour and a half of sleep he was disappointed in himself for not wanting to go down and run with the two freshmen. He decided he was going to make up for that too, tomorrow. He made a rather slapdash lunch for himself before hurrying to class, later than he'd wanted to.
Through class he was distracted still, but managed to take pretty effective notes. Some of the other students seemed to be acting a bit strangely. He was surprised at the unlikely friendships that had seemed to blossom between Yoshida, Mizushima, Ishikawa, and Junsui after less than a week, but he supposed it may be good for them. Around lunch is when he started paying a bit more mind them, especially after hearing Seiya's name tossed around a few times. His brows furrowed as he wondered what would make them take that tone in regards to her.
Eavesdropping wasn't something that Yamada generally condoned but something about this seemed important and that group of students was just a bit too odd to ignore. There was something almost conspiratorial about the four students right now and it bothered him. He was sure that they were up to something. He did his best not to look at them, or at least to do so subtly, but it was a bit too odd for them. Mizushima and Ishikawa hated each other. They'd been battling in the classroom just the previous day. Junsui seemed rather cloistered to begin with and Yoshida had never made this much contact with anyone. He was sure of it. If he was being that social with that many people he had to be up to something. He wasn't sure if it was his lack of sleep, over working, sheer paranoia, or disdain for Yoshida was driving him, but he was intending to get to the bottom of this odd companionship. He seemed far too excited for whatever it was they were doing for it to be any good. He was sure he'd never seen the top of the class put effort into anything and was now very curious to find out just what it could be.
