I look forward to your Tarantino week of reviews (well Monday to Wednesday anyway).Marter said:Yeah, it's pretty good.
This reminds me, I really need to do that Tarantino review week soon...
When I do it, I will be doing them in chronological order. So yeah, those will be the first 3.tigermilk said:I look forward to your Tarantino week of reviews (well Monday to Wednesday anyway).
Assuming that Monday to Wendesday is Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown.
Who? Mr. Pink? Yeah, Mr. Pink is the shit. He was good in "Fargo," too.Fanboy said:Anything with Steve Buscemi is worth seeing. Steve Buscemi is like the champagne bottle that christens a movie the S.S. Awesome.
I hear that Tarantino guy ain't so bad either.
Excellent, I was hoping for both chronology and True Romance (T. Scott) and Natural Born Killers (Stone) wouldn't be shoe horned in to the first three due to Tarnatino's "contribution" to the scripts.Marter said:When I do it, I will be doing them in chronological order. I haven't. There are certain directors that I will eventually review all of the films that they've directed, but I probably won't do them all back-to-back. (Mostly because I've already reviewed at least one film from them -- somehow I haven't done that for Tarantino yet).tigermilk said:Excellent, I was hoping for both chronology and True Romance (T. (Plus, I've already reviewed Natural Born Killers).
Have you thought of other director/auteur themed series of films? I'll resist the temptation to list a suggestion of directors as I am sure you are better qualified to know which directors you would like to review a selection of/complete works of.
yes. its ok, but also a massive cult flick. plus its quentin tarantino.TheFunPolice said:So yeah my friend was telling me about it and was quite shocked that I've not heard of it before, anyway I really can't be bothered to go and read a ton of reviews, I'd rather just hear the thoughts of the only Internet forum I visit. So guys, is Reservoir Dogs worth watching?
Glad you are only doing the films Tarantino directed. I'll look forward to the Alien films, and hears hoping that the Uwe Bowle film you reviewed wasn't the start of another director series! ;o)Marter said:I haven't. There are certain series that I'll eventually do back-to-back, like the Alien and Predator series. I'll get through all of the films in that series all in one go. That's what, 9 films now? The 4 Alien films, the 3 Predator films, and then the 2 crossover films. And then there are some trilogies I've yet to review, because I want to do them all together. The Bourne series is one that will be posted soon, actually, as I took last Friday to watch/review all 3 of those. That was a fun day. There are other examples like this that I just haven't gotten to yet, but that's just where I'm at right now.
