Personally, I don't really have a problem with it. Honestly, a name is just that: a name. It isn't you, and if you really want to, you can make a name for yourself. Also, I don't really get the whole bullying over a name thing. I grew up with the glorious combination of an ultra-rigid puritanical elementary school right smack in the middle of gang territory, and the kids there, while perfectly willing to discriminate based on how white I was (horay for the 90's :p) thought that the guys with the outlandish names were awesome. And, lets face it, it doesn't get a lot crueler than elementary school kids.

So inferring from that logic, you could be a hater too , in fact from the last 2-3 posts it seems that YOU are a hater. Ergo, I am guessing you don't have the intellect to challenge what has been written and whaddaya know, it does seems all your posts are just, well, have you read them? Mindless hate filled hissyfits is putting it mildly.

Tell you what there champ, if you could at least address any of the issues I had to you I MAY..just MAY consider you worth my time for an intellectual debate because you know what, on the internet I don't like to waste precious oxygen on asshats like you. Troll bread for the specific reason to haunt youtube and forums. So do me a favor, either make an intelligent comment or learn how to be less of an asshat

OT: Car Brakes. Yeah that was a name our neighbor gave to his kid. Dear God, why?

I was not sure of it at first but it seems to me that you are in fact a troll.

Perhaps you lack sufficient intelligence to gain anything from the comparisons I've made with your very own argument? Or perhaps your ego is simply too big to admit obvious faults, blinding you in the process? I don't reallycare which.

Also it's quite amusing the way you seem perfectly incapable of entertaining the idea that what name seem "stupid" to one person, might sound perfectly fine and rational to someone else, since you know, that pesky phenomenon of people having different tastes in things. Which once more confirms my suspicion that your head is stuck way inside your own ass. Only your opinions and tastes are the ones that matter, right? ;)
Funny how everything there can be applied to you right now was well. I bet you feel pretty stupid now then don't you

Considering that the "issues" you attempted to adress primarily consisted of your own misunderstanding (or perhaps reading disability) of what I've written in this thread, and also uncannily familiar in the way that the OP also misunderstood so that I had to repeat myself, I don't really have any particular inclination to do so again.

And since repitition gets old after a while you'll just have to settle with reading my previous posts, because I don't really feel like indulging you when it comes to repetition.

Also, considering the way that your "logic" manifested in your post, I'd say that you're wasting oxygen already whether you choose to continue a discussion with me or not...

And I couldn't really care less about your perception of me. You're just an anonymous name on a screen after all.

If you agree with this "Dragonearl"-thing, then clearly you haven't read my posts particularly carefully either when I adressed the OP. In other words: I'd have to repeat myself to you as well. And since I've already stated my policy about that, you can probably guess what im going to do.

Guys, if you have identified a troll. Don't feed it! It's like trying to sue a prostitute; life clearly sued her and she lost. Just contribute to the topic and discuss with anyone who you see are making logical arguments.

Sadly, you're right. I just can't stand people like him who wade in cock-sure with an argument half formed from his ass and just flings it around expecting to be taken seriously as a poster. I mean sure, to use your analogy life has cheated him but is that really enough for people that derail decent threads? I mean really? If he had the time to formulate valid points that a different matter, I can agree to disagree but nothing he had written made sense in the context of the OP.

It's like if we were talking about matches and he came barging in and accused us of supporting arsonists.

The prick!

on the other end of the spectrum having a generic name sucks. My name's Amanda... friggin Amanda... there was 7 of us in kindergarden. My Father wanted to name me Telecaster.. Telly for short. That would have been AWESOME. So my kids are having original names. Boys: Terran, and Fender. Girls: Pan and Cindel.

In Canada registrars can reject names. They do not do it often though. I also would like to point out bad initials. As someone with the initials "STD" I know what it is like. My parents didn't think about it until it was much too late.

Bring up something new that isn't purely based on already adressed misunderstandings and I might be a bit more inclined to discuss the matter with you.

Names have to be approved by a government agency here, and is restricted by law. The law governing first names states: "No name which can cause offence or which can be assumed to lead to discomfort for the person or names which for some other reason obviously are not suited as a name shall be approved as a first name."

Parents may have control over the name but it's the kid that gets to coin the nickname and that is where the true power lies.

A father may name his son Percival Moonbeam Knolefun III to continue the family curse, but that boy will be able to call himself Jose once he reaches the outside world and nobody will question it. I've morphed my name into at least four different variations in the course of my life, will probably do so more as I get older and weirder, and that doesn't count the wonderful world of the Internet where I picked up at least as many monikers that I'd love to have on my driver's license.

Gods, that would be cool. Get pulled over by a cop for failing to signal on a left hand turn and get asked for my license and registration. Pass him the card and smile as he asks me, "So, is that Mr. Contradiction or Mr. Living Contradiction?"

You have yet to illustrate what's so "illogical" about the points I've made, and also yet to display some logic of your own, sweetcakes. ;)

How about if you first learned the definition of misunderstanding, then checked to see if YOU maybe are MISUNDERSTANDING the OP and then get back to me with a NEW and LOGICAL argument and then we'll talk.

Coz it seems to me that you have a massive stick up your own ass that you can't even see the staggering number (sarcasm for you) of people who are just applauding you and taking your side on this, ludicrous, argument of yours. Clearly, everyone else here is equally butt-hurt about the OP supporting bulling now aren't they?. So either you must be the sole "genius" on this site (if so we are doomed as a species, coz Ive already pegged you for the "Do not procreate under any circumstance" list) thats sees a problem in the OP or maybe you have misunderstood whats going on here.
