This I like. Is that Linux running? I've never used it before.

Yeah it is Linux Mint 12 with some custom themes. If your looking to give Linux a go Mint is probably the best one to start with.

When my computer HDD partition containing a load of personal files, including images, corrupted, I've had to live electronically from scratch. I would have loved to show you the image I had for so many years; it's a monkey riding the back of a car in a windsurfing pose.


But for now I use a screenshot I made in Halo Reach:

This I like. Is that Linux running? I've never used it before.

They're running 'Gnome 3 shell', though I'm not sure what distro it is. It's the same desktop environment that I'm using (Ubuntu 12.04) though, there are several Distros that use Gnome 3.

It probably isn't Mint (11/12)
Might be Arch, Fedora, or Ubuntu.

TL;DR: Yes, it is Linux! Though, I'm not sure which one! (Feel free to ask me any questions if you are curious about Linux! )
