For those of you who don't choose to be honest with who they are, why do you hide behind an avatar which is not a picture of yourself? Be honest people, show me who you really are!
to those who are wondering, yes the picture in my profile is me.
My friend, the same argument could be made for screen names/gamer tags...
So let me pose this question to you, "Why don't you use your real name?"
Some people (making a general statement here) prefer to lose themselves in a form of anonymity while on the net.
I am not one of those people, but I do know some who are self conscious about how they look.
This is part of the reason why artists like Lady Gaga have become famous.
She constantly hides her face in some form or another, in order to make a statement how "It doesn't matter what you look like, we're all just human beings/little monsters, and it's how you feel about yourself that matters."
Asking someone to show their face is something of a scary idea to some people (general statement).
You nor I have the right to ask someone to reveal their identity to the world unless they want to!
On Topic: I am to lazy to use an avatar anyway, I do however use my real name as my user name on this site.
Because I'd rather you know me by my name, rather than a picture of me...
Hope this clears up your little debate friend,
Until next time escapists, <3

P.S. I've been a user on here for a while now, and I always seem to make long general statements on this site trying to use my knowledge of life and recreation in a positive way.
If you like my ideas, feel free to add me "little monsters"...

EDIT: When I say "For a while now" I mean I've come to the escapist as a viewer of videos for well over a year now, but only recently have I decided to join the community as a poster in the forums... Just to clear that up.
