It seems to be the new trend that makes people think they are smarter than the population because they do not like Transformers films.

I am sick of being told I and all my friends are 13 year olds

And what bugs me the most

is that most of these people like a movie such as Watchmen and hold it in high esteem. It's ironic that these people say Transformers Dark of the moon has no plot because Watchmen is 2 hours and 10 minutes of pointless, uninformative backstory for characters we don't care about (Ironically the most interesting character gets less backstory) and 30 minutes worth of actual storyline - a mediocre one at that.

I am still convinced these are the people who grew up with Transformers cartoons.

ps. I am by no means saying these films are perfect.

pps I am also not saying you cannot like this film because that is ridiculous, but aparently it does not work the other way around. Like this film and you are a F student waiting to man the assembly line.

wow, I'm sorry to say but you are clearly not very knowledgeable about films. It's not right for people to think they are "smarter" than you simply because you like transformers (despite them being awful films) but to compare it favorable with Watchmen REALLY doesn't help your case. Especially looking at what you said about watchmen. Either you didn't get it (possible) or you weren't paying attention (also possible). Granted, it had its own issues, But it is leaps and bounds better than ANY of the Transformers films.

Don't listen to those kids, I'm sure they probably have movies that they like that others including you think is crap. And Watchmen isn't all that great, Like you said they spend the least amount of time on they character we most like. While Transformers doesn't have the greatest plot, what kind of storyline do expect from the premise of transforming alien robots?

I loved Transformers 3...But I decided after number 1 that to enjoy Transformer movies I should think of it as "Sam, featuring Transformers".

If you don't go in expecting to see Transformers then you're all good :)

I happened to have invented a fool-proof system when dealing with people like this.

Step 1). Hold hands out in front of you. (to make sure you still have them)
Step 2). Put hands over ears.
Step 3). As loud as you can shout, "lalalalalalalala!"
Step 4). Run away to someplace free of the non-believers.

You're welcome. You are now free to enjoy whatever your heart desires.

I like both transformers and watchmen. Different reasons of corse, I didn't go into transformers expecting a deep and insightful epic with relatable characters, I went in for a michael bay movie, and I got a michael bay movie.

Watchmen was amazing in it's own rights, just awesome, one of my favourites.

ANYWAY, if someone gets up you for liking a movie, tell them everyone has there own taste, just don't sound offensive when you're saying it.

ALSO! Don't insult other movies if you don't like movies you enjoy being insulted.

People are hating on the Transformers movies because they're less about the actual Transformers and more about a scrappy-ass this-loser-is-you-actor no one cares about (bonus points for the same actor being in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull).

And don't get me started on the rancid attempt at sex appeal with Megan Fox.

Don't mistake my ranting for me being a Transformers fanboy, however. I simply know shit movies when I see them, and these movies most certainly aren't serviceable to people new to the Transformers franchise.

The juxtapositioning of humans next to the mighty robots (in my opinion)makes it all the more epic when you do see the robots in action although I completely see the argument is valid.

"Either you didn't get it (possible) or you weren't paying attention (also possible). Granted, it had its own issues, But it is leaps and bounds better than ANY of the Transformers films."'

You say that yet you do not give any reasoning as to why and insult me. I paid full attention all the way to the end credit when I thought to my self, "is that the film all the haters point to as their saviour from unintelligent films".

I went to see it last night and the theatre was full of people happy to be there laughing and enjoying themselves. Aparently this is a sign of the end times.

Literally anything.

The problem is that the films spend the whole plot on watching the humans do trivial human things we see all the time in other films where we expect it.

Obvious troll is obvious.

I would have believed you if you just said you liked Transformers. I guess I can understand that even if I'm confused by it, but when you go comparing it to Watchmen then I have to call shenanigans. The closest thing they have in common is Transformers neglecting the actual Transformers as opposed to Watchman where the most interesting character gets the least amount back story. Those are two entirely different cases though. So I can't actually say you are genuine and if you are then I feel bad for you.

another insult. You guys are amazingly predictable. And i did not compare the two films. It's just generally the people who act out like this are the ones who luuuuuuuurve watchmen because its so intelligent and all i saw in that was a film with ridiculous or uninteresting characters for the most part, and a story that could have started and resolved in 10 minutes.

To quote MovieBoB:

"I've seen shitty movies based on the life of Christ, I've seen brilliant films based on a guy who dresses up as a bat and beats people up at night because he misses his mommy".

Something or other about dubious source material not being an excuse for bad film-making, he goes more in-depth here: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escape-to-the-movies/797-Transformers-Revenge

That rant is basically every reason why they judge you the way they do.

EDIT: I'll throw in my quick .02 about Watchmen.

Nothing in it was predictable (almost impossible to see the ending coming), the characterization and script was written well enough for them to go on expository dialogues and have it seem authentic, every shade on the morality color wheel was covered with it being really difficult to point out any character as a straight good or bad guy, and I loved how it ended with the possibility of everything being revealed and undone.

Commend Transformers. Put down Watchmen.

... yup, you're off to a good start. Honestly it would have been better just to leave the Watchman part out and state you hate people who judge you. Less likely to piss off the people who hate getting judged for liking Watchmen, yes?

Bob thinks the resident evil movies are getting better and that iron man 2 was good. Plus again he is one of those who point at watchmen. and his first review of the original transformers pretty much tells you everything you need to know about him, (besides the fact he wished he was more like yahtzee)
