your looking on a gaming forum and you expect it to be spoiler free? pretty naive of you.
if you dont want spoilers avoid sites like this till after you finished a game or expect to have things spoiled
Considering that it can take me months to finish games... I'd pretty much never be able to come on gaming sites.
I agree. I don't have that much free time to play the wide variety of games I would like to (not to mention the books I want to read) so spoilers should not have an expiry date. I still haven't played some games that are 10 years or older (Half-Life for one) that I have but haven't gotten around to. I paid good money for it and would like to enjoy the unveiling when I get there.

Aaaannddd, this is why I currently feel like an idiot for even entering a thread with the term "spoiler" on it.
I'm reading that series. You truly are inconsiderate. If you take that as a compliment, reevaluate your life, because it's pathetic.

The worst spoiler I've ever read was thrust upon me via stupid ass facebook. That's what I get for clicking that I "like" Dexter.
The automatic news feed had an update stating something to the effect of "Tune in to the premier of season 5 to see how Dexter copes with the tragic death of Rita in the final episode of season 4." My jaw was on the fucking floor after reading that, and since I was still watching season 4, it utterly ruined the ending.

The phrase should most likely be "death, taxes, and spoilers are the only sure things in like".

Beautifully done.

I felt exactly the same when I found out Bruce Willis is a ghost.

I've had my 'friend' spoil games for years. He watches someone stream them on JTV and persists in telling me everything that happens. Wanted to fucking lamp him when he spoilt MW2 THE DAY IT CAME OUT and Brotherhood, because he thought AC was a bad game despite never playing it and decided he didn't want me playing enjoying a series I love.
Out of curiousity, what part of MW2 is spoiler worthy? It was incredibly obvious that a certain fan favourite character would return, that somebody was going to be evil(hell, the launch trailer showed them shooting at eachother) and the airport level was spoiled by faux news before release.

At the end of God of War 3 Kratos becomes a pacifist.

At the end of Crisis 2 the Main character decides he's stronger without the suit.

Metroid's Shamus is really a androngonous man.

But seriously, unless it comes out of nowhere, if you want to avoid spoilers, then don't read internet forums about them. Simples *squeek*

This community is pretty good with spoilers fair play to them, well except for this unfunny douche;

Though games have been spoiled for me by douchbags on other gaming websites (Gametrailers), who spoil games on purpose. I was really pissed when alot of people in the comment section on the Gametrailers Heavy Rain review spoiled who the Origami Killer was. If they did that to me in real life I would've punched them in the head, sods. ¬.¬

I for one don't give a damn about spoilers. It's hard enough to remember the names of all the characters/locations/etc and how they all interact in a game world like Mass Effect when you're playing through the damn thing yourself, let alone hearing it mentioned by others.

Even after being subjected to the most explicit of spoilers, I'll just get to that point in the game and have a vague inkling of "Didn't I hear someone mention something about this part? Or was it another part?" Sometimes there's even a brief bit of excitement, when I realise "Oh, so THAT'S what people are talking about!".

To reiterate, I just plain don't care. Spoil away for all you're worth.

As per everything quoted on here, XKCD. Except for the last bit, not sure where that's from but I accidentally laid that spoiler on someone the other day. I'm sorry but how does someone get to be 21 without having seen Pulp Fiction, Fight Club or Aliens?
A very very very big rock. As for the last part of that, it's actually the hidden text when you hover over the image for that certain one.
I have not seen Fight Club.
I have not seen Pulp Fiction.

If you don't want spoilers, do not even go to a thread discussing whatever you don't want spoiled. A thread that has a game or series as its main discussion point is put in implied spoiler tags, if a thread is discussing Dragon Age 2, then don't look at the thread and complain that every single post is not spoilered.

I don't really mind spoilers myself, I play games for the gameplay and How the story is woven into it.

Well I almost always use spoiler tags, with the rare exception escaping my mind.

But my feelings on the matter are that spoilers are sometimes a good thing. My favorite book series, Cirque Du Freak, I began reading at number nine. If any of you have read the ninth book, there is perhaps the biggest plot twist at the end. But instead of feeling like the ending had been soured, I was intrigued. I instead went back and re-read the other eight books, to see what had happened to lead the characters to where they were in the ninth.

TL;DR I like spoilers because they can be used to fuel the passion to finish the story.

Usually threads which are about spoilers are right in the thread title. I have yet to experience one that doesn't

Most people on the forums are pretty good about using the spoiler tags, or at least labeling the title of the thread to mention that there may be spoilers or not.

However, these are gaming forums and people will want to discuss games. So spoilers are going to happen. Best to avoid threads about games you don't want ruined for you, especially ones about writing for certain games. Given that is what seems to be popping up the most for Dragon Age 2 right now.

Very Very nice good sir

EDIT: Having triple posted, looking back at my avatar is hilarious XD

Yeah, I know. It's not only on the internet, but in real life. I have an example of each that made me RAGE

Okay, so as I was playing assassin's creed for the first time, I needed to look up something about one of the areas. I did, and, lo and behold, it was an "incomplete article."

I know, you're asking "How is that a spoiler?" Well, the picture that signifies an incomplete page on the AC wiki is a picture of
Altair assassinating Al Mualim.
I was rippin' mad.

Okay, so I had just downloaded Dead Space the previous night, and all I had to say to one of my friends is "I got Dead Space, I'm going to play it when I get home." So this kid just turns around and says
The girl you're looking for the whole time is dead, she turns into a necromorph and attacks Isaac at the end.
Naturally, I screamed expletives at him, then got in trouble because I was in chemistry at the time...

Spoilers are a dick move. I know what you mean.
