It met my expectations, being an Oblivion that's actually fun to play, without a ton of mods.Atmos Duality said:It doesn't look that amazing to me.SyphonX said:Yea, well.. because it's amazing. People waited 5 years for it. It meets expectations in a glorious kind of way.
Honestly, it just looks like Oblivion, but with a better graphics engine.
Very true and personally I prefer my games to be longer although short games, such as Bastion, have been some of the best games I've ever played.Zachary Amaranth said:Yeah, no game should ever need the qualifier "but it gets good after the first 20 hours."
I'd like longer experiences, but they don't immediately equal good.
I liked Yahtzee's comments on Portal. While I'm not a Portal fan, I agree with the basic premise that a game can be short and be the "right length."Titan Buttons said:Very true and personally I prefer my games to be longer although short games, such as Bastion, have been some of the best games I've ever played.
Yes that's what I like most about Yahtzee between all the cynical jokes and fan-boy hate he really knows what he is talking about when it comes to what a game needs to be good.Zachary Amaranth said:I liked Yahtzee's comments on Portal. A game certainly shouldn't be padded out. If it's only a couple of hours, but an amazing couple of hours, it's a good thing. WELL, not if you're paying full retail. But Bastion wasn't a retail release or full price. Same with Portal. Same with a lot of smaller games.
I like it when comedians can also have a point. He's no George Carlin, but occasionally, you can pull a real line out, rather than a "your mum" joke.Titan Buttons said:Yes that's what I like most about Yahtzee between all the cynical jokes and fan-boy hate he really knows what he is talking about when it comes to what a game needs to be good.
Well I am willing to still paying full retail if the game itself makes up for not being more then a couple of hours long, such as the story and combat in Batman: AC. The main story was actually not that long what made it long is all the side missions but I was too busy bring taken in by the story and beating up thugs while proclaiming "I'm Batman" XD.
Though a fair few main stream titles like MW2, Space Marine and Dragon Age 2 in certain aspects didn't seem long enough, even though the only way they could make them longer would be by padding them out which probably would have done more harm then good.

- No more dragging of objects a la Oblivion (or that I have found.)
- The UI... Okay maybe it was the best solution but...
And that's it. Those are the only things that nag me. I can get over them, eventually.
Hope I didn't come off as to nagging or hurtfull. Wasn't really my intention if it happened x.x
Yeah I figured that out later on x3Donnie Restad said:Step 1: Find item to dragRuwrak said:
