Skyrim has had no glitches or crashes for me yet, and I love the UI.

Haters gonna hate, but I for one am having no issues with Skyrim whatsoever, and I'm enjoying it immensely. And this is from someone who's playing it on a laptop that can only manage Medium settings.

Discuss whether or not the giant-launching is a bug or not. Because I don't think it is.

Playing on the xbox. No problems
Except that one questbug (the first quest, talk to Alvor bla bla)
And the difficulty is... all over the freaking place.

Sometimes they drop like flies (6 on 1) Another time... Well.. I could be with two and a sabre cat will eat me for lunch with 2 swipes.

I have skyrim for the PS3 and the frame rate drops at for me sometimes.

as for game play i think its extremely easy i had to bring up the difficulty to master just so its still a bit of a challenge.

PC gamer here - no bugs or glitches to speak of in the first 5 hours which is a big surprise to me and easily a record over my past Bethesda experiences.

The UI is pretty terrible due to it's unintuitive nature though. I find the overall menu system a step back from Oblivion. I find the lack of an overlay map option (like Diablo 2) to be extremely disappointing. I actually like the shop selling/buying methods as that is actually pretty slick and convenient (though no buy back option is annoying...and if it exists it's not intuitive enough for me to know it yet).

Good god did Bethesda actually do it? Did they actually release a (almost) bug free game? Holy crap that was the main reason I didn't buy Skyrim in the first place. I had Fallout 3 and liked it a lot then it crashed twice in 4 hours and I returned it but if it actually is stable then I'm probably going to pick this up soon. Or since I still don't feel some great desire to buy it I can just wait for the inevitable edition with all the extra content in a year and enjoy myself with any of the other 10-20 major releases within the past couple of months.

Well, the UI looks nice, it just performs like a giant sack of shit.
The game is really good (except for the dragons and difficulty), though.

There's no buyback option specifically, but you can always just go to the store's items list and buy it.
It will probably be at a higher price, though. But gold isn't an issue whatsoever for me so I don't really care that much.

I noticed one bug that buggered the realism. I found one patch of water in the river near Riverwood wouldn't load. It just stops and then starts again near the town... Its quite odd

This and in the first couple of minutes of the game, after the character creation menu, The game would not progress. the NPC's would just stand, look at me and say absolutely nothing...

I would like to think they were simply in awe of how bad ass my character looked... but I'm afraid I'm going to have to say that was just a bug.

I've had 2 CTDs in about 30 hours of play, and one or two minor visual bugs, but for the most part it's been surprisingly stable for a Bethesda product.

UI is beautiful, but horrible.

Yeah, the only bug that I've encountered are some bodies being stuck in the floor, but that's barely worth mentioning.
Also: I've had the game get stuck on an endless loading screen once, but...well, it was just once, so I wasn't bothered much by it.

[sub]Yeah, I don't like the UI, but...meh, I'll deal with it[/sub]

I've yet to see any bugs, but I'm only four hours into the game so far.
The UI was a pain in the ass in the beginning, but now that I realize you aren't supposed to use the mouse to navigate it has become tolerable, not good, but not a deal-breaker like I thought it might be.

sadly not quite im still experiencing several glitches with my game not sure why im being targeted. crashes to desktop are often. although it's usually when im going through a door so it autosaves on the other side. so not so bad..

the first dragon i fought (the first dragpn) was purple because the texture didn't load properly so it was a purple dragon. (im on PC btw)

and 1 or 2 quests are having trouble completing (nothing major just some minor random quest about get some dudes thing from the cave won't complete )

other than that it's bllooooming marvelous.

I haven't had any crashes so far, but I'm playing on the PS3 so I'd be surprised if I had. the only two issues I've had are some graphical glitches (fires flickering...as in, 'in and out of existence' =P) and one incident where I got stuck in the world jommetry and couldn't get back out =P

The UI looks nice enough (I guess), but there is a *painful* lack of information about items when you are in your inventory. Maybe this is just me, but if I'm trying to decide what to sell or equip, I'd kind of like to know (for example) whether or not the weapon is two handed? I mean, most RPG inventories will tell you at least that...?

And yes, maybe you can kind of logically tell based on the weapon's nature (eg warhammer vs short sword) but it seems like a silly detail to have left out...either that or I'm missing something. If I'm just being blind and it does tell you these things I'd love to know where (genuinely). =P

Playing it on a PC where Medium was recommended. Every now and again, fairly regularly, there'll be a 3 or 4 second lag spike, dunno what it's doing in that time but whatever (usually happens when travelling outdoors). Anyway, this is pretty annoying, and could be gamebreaking if it wasn't such an amazing game. Anyone else have this problem, out of curiosity? That aside though, I still think Skyrim is just wonderful. :)

Only technical problem I've had is with the game using PC controls when I have the option to use a controller turned on, though this is more likely due to the MotionJoy drivers for my PS3 controller.

Overall I like the UI, though I do wish we could sort items by something other than alphabetical, such as weight or armor value. I love the favorites system though.

The other complaint I have is with the difficulty, I seem to die allot. I'm playing an Orc who wears heavy armor (all steel except for the helm, which is the awesome guard captain helm you get before your hands are even free), I also have the perks for heavy armor bonus and additional bonus if wearing all heavy armor. As a personal rule I refuse to play on the lowest difficulty in any game, though I think I had to turn it down from the 3rd lowest to 2nd lowest, and I'm still dying. I really like the combat system, guarding and countering is fun and adds strategy over mashing the attack button, but enemies seem to be able to randomly take off half my health bar.

I'm getting that exact same issue. I'm fairly certain it's just the game loading nearby assets, which our crappy computers need some time to handle, thus the slowdown.
