It was designed for a controller, not a mouse. Navigating menus to flick between weapons and apparel, navigating conversations (no, number keys don't work, has to be mouse+mousewheel or cursor keys + Enter). Adjusting the system settings is equally frustrating. The perks constellation thing is frustrating and often I end up flying totally the wrong direction.JoesshittyOs said:I've been hearing this a lot but I never really saw what was so bad about the UI. I think it's rather perfect, apart from opening the menus being a little hectic.
Dragon Age II had a fantastic perks/tree system that worked and worked well. Baldur's Gate II is maybe a decade old and has a better and easier to use inventory system. The FoV is not suited for a widescreen and I feel sorry for console owners who can't change it. At least I was able to spend ages tweaking ini files (which didn't work), then bring up dev console to make it a reasonable amount.
These are small things that add up and take away from the overall experience. Exploring, sneaking, sticking arrows in bandits and stealing a horse are great fun. But then having a conversation after or trying to deal with a storekeeper are infuriating. A flawed master piece that could have been done better but was not.
