Better yet, just run past the troll and let the greybeards all smite him in an instant with their dragonpowers.EHKOS said:The trolls hate fire. And I'm using a one handed weapon user mixed with destruction, blocking, and heavy armor. With a dash of other skills.
Currently I can't get past the 7000 steps area (whatever it's called) as there's a troll that kills me in three hits. So now I'm going to do some of the Companions quest line
Nope, I was using novice level too. Maybe your destruction skill is weaker?scorptatious said:Tried that. Barely does anything to him.EHKOS said:The trolls hate fire. Although I was using a novice level fire spell. So maybe I need to find stronger spells? Do you know where I might find any?
I killed the two trolls in the cave with my novice level fire spells, and only recently (I'm lvl 13 now) got higher level magic stuff because I've been too busy exploring to bother until now. Just dual flame them and keep moving, just do short bursts of fire, because when they're on fire, they take additional damage, and you don't want to run out of magicka.scorptatious said:Tried that. I know what you mean man, I've been fucked over far too many times for my liking so far in Skyrim. I'm level 15 atm specializing in destruction magic and axes and I can't comprehend how someone could simply be that good that the game. Hell, I turned the difficulty down to apprentice and it's still fucking hard in points.Witty Name Here said:I never understood there's always at least one person who plays on the hardest difficulty of any game and always says it's easy. I've had quite a bit of hell on a few Skyrim quests, so I don't see how you're "One shotting everyone"
Just run it. He hits like a mac truck, but isn't all that fast moving.scorptatious said:Currently I can't get past the 7000 steps area (whatever it's called) as there's a troll that kills me in three hits. So now I'm going to do some of the Companions quest line
And this is why i've chosen to play as a literal tank. I wanted to play as my usual sneaky-stealie-shooty-tooty, but i was scared of being left with a character which can't actually kill anything...again.TheBelgianGuy said:I remember in Oblivion I could shoot 10 arrows in the face of a generic bandit, and still doing no damage.
Well...not almost finished, I'd say about 60%. I alternated between fighters guild quests and main story.reonhato said:10 hours and almost finished.... im lvl 22 and ive done like 2 main quests. wth is with people and the need to do everything as fast as possible
apart from the fact i think you are very much lying about the 10 hours thing, i find the difficulty fine
Pro tip, don't use overpowered shit. Challenge yourself to make it difficult.Kyle1527 said:So I've played the game for about ten hours now, finished the Companions questline and most of the main quests. I've been playing on Master difficulty since the start and I can pretty much one shot all common enemies. The only enemies that are challenging are Chauruses because of the poison and dragons since you have to shoot them down.. So anyway, anyone else think Skyrim is too easy even on the hardest difficulty?
If anyone wants to know, I play a level 14 two handed nord, who uses Wuuthrad/Skyforged Greatswords.
I'm playing one of them, and the 15x stealth-dagger-multiplier more than compensatesEllEzDee said:And this is why i've chosen to play as a literal tank.
