The game is kinda tough to me. I've died quite a few times so far. And I'm using a one handed weapon user mixed with destruction, blocking, and heavy armor. With a dash of other skills.

Currently I can't get past the 7000 steps area (whatever it's called) as there's a troll that kills me in three hits. So now I'm going to do some of the Companions quest line
The trolls hate fire. Just backpedal and use a fire spell.
Better yet, just run past the troll and let the greybeards all smite him in an instant with their dragonpowers.

I've been playing on hard, and I find it's lived up to that expectation. I've gone for a nord who uses heavy armor, one handed weapons, shields, and restoration magic. I've spent 15-30 minutes on some encounters. Maybe I'm not using some special ability that makes everything super easy, but I think it's been a pretty difficult game.

Well, my friend must suck really hard at playing the game, because as far as I've seen him playing it, he dies quite often on normal difficulty. And he breezed through Oblivion.

The only reason I can one-shot some enemies is that I use dual fireballs, but even then there are a lot of enemies who take at least 3 or 4 of those attacks before going down. Skyrim is no where near easy, but it is really fun

Tried that. Barely does anything to him.

Although I was using a novice level fire spell. So maybe I need to find stronger spells? Do you know where I might find any?
Nope, I was using novice level too. Maybe your destruction skill is weaker?

I killed the two trolls in the cave with my novice level fire spells, and only recently (I'm lvl 13 now) got higher level magic stuff because I've been too busy exploring to bother until now. Just dual flame them and keep moving, just do short bursts of fire, because when they're on fire, they take additional damage, and you don't want to run out of magicka.

I've gone through without using health potions or healing spell. Though i did use the regenerative 'get 60 hp over 60 seconds' ones though. This makes the game a bit more of a challenge plus quite tense.

If you go pure, you generally are overpowered.

I'm a lvl 13 with 60 destruction magic, and I beat the mages college. I can generally 1-3 hit kill anything I come across, and each hit of my magic stuns anyways.

On the flip side I have 100 HP, and 1 silly trap can take me out if i'm not careful.

I never understood there's always at least one person who plays on the hardest difficulty of any game and always says it's easy. I've had quite a bit of hell on a few Skyrim quests, so I don't see how you're "One shotting everyone"
I know what you mean man, I've been fucked over far too many times for my liking so far in Skyrim. I'm level 15 atm specializing in destruction magic and axes and I can't comprehend how someone could simply be that good that the game. Hell, I turned the difficulty down to apprentice and it's still fucking hard in points.
Especially those fucking finishing moves. I hate it SO MUCH that enemies can perform finishers on you when you're on low health, it's just fucked. Hey Bethesda, I DON'T LIKE BEING STABBED IN THE GUTS REPEATEDLY.

Just run it. He hits like a mac truck, but isn't all that fast moving.

Try killing a Dragon Priest completely unprepared and armed with only a bow, 50 arrows and 1 weak spell. Longest fight of my life, but worth it.

I'm playing on default difficulty (which is normal I think) and I find it extremely hard at times. I was attacked by a troll and a dragon at one point and I didn't get out of that one alive. I'm good at one-handed weapons and destruction magic so far. So I'm an arcane warrior, I guess.

I remember in Oblivion I could shoot 10 arrows in the face of a generic bandit, and still doing no damage.
And this is why i've chosen to play as a literal tank. I wanted to play as my usual sneaky-stealie-shooty-tooty, but i was scared of being left with a character which can't actually kill anything...again.

10 hours and almost finished.... im lvl 22 and ive done like 2 main quests. wth is with people and the need to do everything as fast as possible

apart from the fact i think you are very much lying about the 10 hours thing, i find the difficulty fine
Well...not almost finished, I'd say about 60%. I alternated between fighters guild quests and main story.

So I've played the game for about ten hours now, finished the Companions questline and most of the main quests. I've been playing on Master difficulty since the start and I can pretty much one shot all common enemies. The only enemies that are challenging are Chauruses because of the poison and dragons since you have to shoot them down.. So anyway, anyone else think Skyrim is too easy even on the hardest difficulty?

If anyone wants to know, I play a level 14 two handed nord, who uses Wuuthrad/Skyforged Greatswords.
Pro tip, don't use overpowered shit. Challenge yourself to make it difficult.

The only easy thing I've noticed is that I have a vast amount of money with very little effort.

As for the battles, well this is Bethesda so some enemies will go down from a gentle breeze while others will mash your face without even trying.

I'm playing one of them, and the 15x stealth-dagger-multiplier more than compensates :)

Oblivion was easy for me. I just walked to the fighters guild and felt there was something wrong with me finishing it at level 2 or 3
