Skyrim players were busy playing the actual game. Zelda kids were all fanboying like crazy and rage-voted. Skyrim wins by default :D
And how pray tell does Skyrim win by default even though Skyrim has it's own legion of crazy and over the top fanboyism?.
Praying is something some "people" do in church. Skyrim wins by default because Zelda has always been and always will be lame as f***.

And Skyrim doesn't have fanboys. It's got zombies and mental patients as fans.
You obviously didn't get my meaning (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/pray_tell) And you saying Skyrim wins by default and that Zelda is lame is just your simple opinion and not a fact so yeah good luck with that.

Personally I don't mind either Skyrim or Zelda but I'm certainly not going to praise one and shit on the other like a 12 yr old.

Just keep trying bro, just keep trying.

Baawh, but your gonna be so mature as to run around the net calling people 12 year olds. So cute and hypocritical. And i know what pray tell means, hurp.
I would like to refute your point with:

I have a question:

Why is this even being discussed?

For one, these games have almost nothing in common. Outside of the premise (destined hero in medieval setting to save the world), everything else is superficial.

They're not even on the same level. They're on completely different consoles, with completely different technical limitations, and completely different core audiences. It's like trying to compare Legend of Zelda (NES) with Ocarina of Time.

Sure, you might like one better, but that doesn't make it objectively "better". This goes especially to you who say that "poor" reviews (4/5, how dare they not give a perfect score!) are undeserved because a lot of people like it. Twilight is exteremly popular; does that mean that poor reviews of it are undeserved? And no, I'm not comparing the two franchises, only the situation.

You want to say SS is the best Zelda game? You might have a case for that. But we're talking about a popularity contest here, between games that aren't remotely comparable.

Well maybe he wouldn't call you a 12 year old if you didn't act like one. Considering that you rattled on about how Skyward Sword fans just spammed votes just to let the world know about how good the game is while Skyrim fans were playing the game and didn't care about it, making broad generalizations like that is REALLY immature. Just saying.

This is just as bad as saying "Ooooh, Skyward sword got a 10 and Skyrim got a 9.9, Skyward Sword is soooooo much better!"

For the love of God, please just let others enjoy what they enjoy.

Also remember two things. The first is that Skyward Sword is more appropriate for the kiddies, so it automatically gets a boost there. The second is that I just took an arrow to the knee and forgot what the second one was.

Damn it.
That the game was technically stable and properly designed? Also, I hope you have money. After the recent rash of arrow related knee injuries, insurance companies stopped covering those types of injuries. :p

Skyrim should have won the BGOTY, the Buggiest Game of the Year.

All games are comparable. If you want to play that way, then how about "Skyrim can't win any GOTY contests because there is nothing to compare it too"?

When I saw the topic "Skyward Sword and Skyrim", I thought this would be about 2 recent triple A games with both severe game breaking bugs. But, no...

How about "pretend you actually read the post instead of skimmng it"? That way, I can't respond to your post by simply pointing out something you clearly didn't read. Like how winning a popularity contest doesn't make a game better, just more popular. Let me quote it, so it'll be harder to miss.

/ Sure, you might like one better, but that doesn't make it objectively "better". /

As to "all games are comparable", tell me, which is better: Mario Party or Infamous? Epic Yarn or Demon's Souls? LOZ or MW3?
